A friend of ours introduced us to the health benefits of BLACK Garlic this morning. She has a technique for turning the black garlic bulbs into an awesome and tasty superfood. I was reluctant at first to try a piece, but then I did - I was pleasantly surprised. It DID NOT taste like garlic. Its aftertaste was much like treacle toffee. Our friend's technique is to purchase organic black garlic and cook it for 10 days in a rice cooker on a low warm setting. A pressure cooker on its lowest setting can also be used.
