2025: The year the global order unravels
World War 3 is already well underway, even though most don’t recognize it.
Russia, China, and their allies want to transform the current US-led world order that has been in place since the end of WW2 from unipolar to multipolar—giving themselves a bigger seat at the table in the process.
The US and its allies want the unipolar status quo to prevail.
WW3 is unlikely to evolve into a direct kinetic war between the US, Russia, and China because that could invite nuclear Armageddon, where everyone loses.
Instead, WW3 is playing out on different levels—proxy wars, economic wars, financial wars, cyber wars, biological wars, deniable sabotage, and information wars.
This is World War 3. It’s happening right now and rapidly escalating.

As I see it, World War 3 is a conflict between two geopolitical blocks.

This means that if our scientists had a quantum-gravity recipe for the ingredients and the heating process that resulted in the birth of our Universe through the womb of the Big Bang, then they would be on their way to acquiring the professional expertise of God. Permission to Forgive Ourselves
When we can look back at our past and really assess what has happened, we begin to realize that there are many dimensions to our actions. While feeling guilty might assuage our feelings at first, it is only a short-term solution. It is all too ironic that being hard on ourselves is the easy way out.
If we truly are able to gaze upon our lives through the lens of compassion, we will be able to see that there is more to what we do and have done than we realize. Perhaps we were simply trying to protect ourselves or others and did the best we could at the time, or maybe we thought we had no other recourse and chose a solution in the heat of the moment.
Once we understand that dwelling in our negative feelings will only make us feel worse, we will come to recognize that it is only through forgiving ourselves that we can transform our feelings and truly heal any resentment we have about our past.
Giving ourselves permission to feel at peace with our past actions is
one of the most positive steps we can take toward living a life free
from regrets, disappointments, and guilt. The more we are able to remind
ourselves that the true path to a peaceful mind and heart is through
acceptance of every part of our lives and actions, the more harmony and
inner joy we will experience in all aspects of our lives. (Daily Mail)
Britain Warned it May Already be in Recession as “Extended Agony” Hits Economy
National GDP may be shrinking after a swathe of Labour policies that have “notably damaged” economic growth, analysts at Shore Capital said.

Moscow comments on Trump's 'two genders' diversity rollback
The US president has signed executive orders reversing protections for transgender rights and DEI programs.
The decades-long US promotion of the diversity and inclusion agenda should be investigated on an international level, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.
Zakharova made the remarks on Tuesday, a day after newly inaugurated US President Donald Trump ended protections for transgender rights and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the federal government.
Zakharova wrote on Telegram:
"Can you imagine how many people's lives have been ruined over the years of promoting this nonsense? What should hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people do now, who have been forced to accept the ideology of amputating healthy genitals and replacing them with artificial ones?"
Zakharova stated that officials in Washington have been forcing other countries:
"To show solidarity with what they called anti-scientific narratives, which in essence was the very propaganda that kills both the body and the soul. This 'inhumane doctrine' was linked with aid, sanctions, and political and financial pressure, as well as the "humiliation of human dignity and bullying."
On his first day back in office, Trump repealed 78 executive orders signed by his predecessor, Joe Biden, including at least a dozen measures supporting racial equity and combating discrimination against gay and transgender people.

If the Gene Technology Bill is passed, how many additional doctors will New Zealand need?
Gene technology in our healthcare system is going to require some extra highly skilled doctors, but how many and how much will it cost us?
High-profile billionaire biohacker Bryan Johnson, 47, boasts that he only ages 8 months every year. So that is something we could all aim for. Bryan spends just $2 million a year on his health, he has 30 doctors and recently increased his pill intake to 91 pills a day.
So, the aspirational ratio is about 30 doctors for every person. We could probably accept a few less than that, but we might not live quite as long as Bryan. Probably best to go by trial and error. Start with a modest 10 doctors per person and see how long we can all live. A lot of farmers will need to retrain and we might need to import more food. Most people would be doctors.
Joking apart, gene technology is insatiable when it comes to doctors and costs. The astronomical salaries of experts, expensive equipment, CRISPR patent fees and the constant need for testing associated with personalised genetic therapies all add up. If you think that the $10,000 estimate your builder gave you for a veranda renovation is too high, you might baulk at the multimillion-dollar costs for your individual gene renovation.
But don’t worry, the government is determined to foot the Bill on our behalf. A clause in the Bill requires that New Zealand automatically adopt any old gene technology as long as any other two countries have approved it. If it all works out, it is going to be like new dance moves in the 1980s, everyone will be doing it.

The report ranks “mis/disinformation” as a higher threat than economic instability for the second consecutive year, framing it as a “persistent threat to societal cohesion and governance by eroding trust” and “exacerbating divisions within and between nations.” This emphasis on disinformation, critics say, aligns with the WEF’s push for globalized solutions to what it describes as a crisis of trust.
“The WEF’s focus on disinformation feels like a pretext to justify more centralized control over information flows,” said one policy analyst, who requested anonymity. “By elevating disinformation to a top-tier threat, they’re laying the groundwork for policies that could restrict free speech and expand surveillance under the guise of protecting societal cohesion.”
While the WEF report highlights disinformation as a pressing concern, it downplays economic risks, which have fallen out of the top 10 global threats for both the two-year and 10-year outlooks. Open Communication
Sometimes problems arise in the process of expressing how we feel, but it is always worth it to do the work. Even in our less intimate relationships, expressing ourselves honestly is essential to our sense of well-being. Whether at home with family or in the outside world, successful communication requires some forethought. Otherwise, we risk blundering through our relationships. However, too much forethought can stifle us or cause us to pad our words so much that we end up saying nothing at all or confusing the matter further. The good news is — there are many methods that can come to our rescue, from meditation to visualization to journaling.
If the person we need to communicate with is open to sitting in
meditation together for a set period of time before speaking, this can
be invaluable. When we are calm and centered, we can count on ourselves
to speak and respond truthfully. We also can meditate on our own time
and then practice what we need to say. A visualization in which we sit
with the person and lovingly exchange a few words also can be a great
precursor to an actual conversation. If writing comes easily, we can
write out what we need to say. It may take several drafts, but we will
eventually find the words. The key is to find ways to center ourselves
so that we communicate meaningfully, lovingly, and wisely. In this way,
we honor our companions and create relationships where there is a

For Profit Health Insurance: Death Incorporated
On December 4, 2024, Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare was shot and killed in New York City. Etched on the shell casings and bullets found at the crime scene were the words: “delay,” “deny,” and possibly “depose.” Five days later, police arrested Luigi Mangione in Pennsylvania and charged him with the crime.
Many members of the public didn’t have much sympathy for Thompson. One person on social media quipped, “I’d look for the killer, but vision isn’t covered under my health insurance plan.” In fact, public support for Mangione has been overwhelming, with some calling him a hero and demanding his release, as reported here and here.
And while Newsweek reported that public support for Mangione has disturbed most people, it also reported that a poll conducted by NORC (National Opinion Research Center, University of Chicago) found that seven out of ten Americans feel that “health insurance profits and coverage denials share the blame” for Brian Thompson’s death.
ABC News reported that as of December 24, online defense funds created for Mangione’s defense have raised over $200,000.
But as Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Michael Moore correctly pointed out in this scathing article (I recommend that you read it and watch his 2007 documentary film Sicko),
“People across America are not celebrating the brutal murder of a father of two kids from Minnesota. They are screaming for help, they are telling you what’s wrong, they are saying that this system is not just and it’s not right and it cannot continue…their health insurance company is there not to help them but to deny their claim, bankrupt them with deductibles and copays, and give them the runaround until their spirit is broken and they just give up and wait to die…these insurance corporations and their executives have more blood on their hands than a thousand 9/11 terrorists.”
Speaking of terrorists, Mangione is not only being charged with murder by New York State; a laundry list of other charges has been added, which is known as “stacking charges.”
He is also being charged under New York’s anti-terrorism law, which
carries even stiffer penalties. In addition to Pennsylvania throwing in a
few charges, Mangione is facing a federal murder charge that carries
the death penalty. This also means that Mangione will have to stand
trial for the same offense twice, once in state court, once in federal

Prescience: 161 years ago, a New Zealand sheep farmer predicted AI doom
On June 13, 1863, a letter published in The Press newspaper of Christchurch warned about the potential dangers of mechanical evolution and called for the destruction of machines, foreshadowing the development of what we now call artificial intelligence — and the backlash against it from people who fear it may threaten humanity with extinction. It presented what may be the first published argument for stopping technological progress to prevent machines from dominating humanity.
Titled "Darwin among the Machines," the letter recently popped up again on social media thanks to Peter Wildeford of the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy. The author of the letter, Samuel Butler, submitted it under the pseudonym Cellarius, but later came to publicly embrace his position. The letter drew direct parallels between Charles Darwin's theory of evolution and the rapid development of machinery, suggesting that machines could evolve consciousness and eventually supplant humans as Earth's dominant species.
"We are ourselves creating our own successors," he wrote. If You Are Over 50 Your Government Wants You Dead
The cut-off age for resuscitation is often 55 or 50, with anyone over 60 considered old and a burden on society.
Elderly patients are frequently left in pain, in soiled bed clothes, and denied food and water, with many cases of neglect, abuse and unfair treatment reported in hospitals and care homes.

In Britain, it is now official Government policy to ignore the needs of the elderly. This policy is common throughout the world. Doctors and nurses are told to let old people die – and to withhold treatment which might save their lives. Hospital staff are told to deprive the elderly of food and water so that they die rather than take up hospital beds. Nursing home staff have even been given the right to sedate elderly patients without their knowledge. The only -ism that no one cares about is ageism.
But at what age are patients simply allowed to die? And how old is too old for patients to be resuscitated? At what point does society have the right to say `You’ve lived long enough, now you must die and make way for someone else’? And why should resuscitation be decided by age? It is possible to argue that it would make as much sense to decide according to wealth or beauty. But ageism is now officially accepted. Anyone over 60 is now officially old, though in a growing number of hospitals the cut-off age for resuscitation is 55 or even 50.
We live in a politically correct world but the elderly don’t count – particularly if they are white and English. Report after report after report shows elderly patients being left in pain, in soiled bed clothes. Elderly patients in hospital are ignored by staff and left to starve to death, denied even water if they cannot get out of bed and fetch it themselves.
Old people are a burden which the Government cannot afford and so the politicians will continue to authorise whatever methods are necessary to ensure that the number of burdensome old people is kept to a minimum. However, his interrogation of recent data on police shootings reveals that in 2018, 54 unarmed white people were killed compared to 36 unarmed black individuals.
Moreover, conveniently omitted from debates on police misconduct, is that black Americans are overrepresented as dangerous criminals and constitute 43 percent of cop-killers. Huemer finds it odd that progressives can appreciate that most victims of police violence are men because their heightened exposure to violence increases the probability of them having negative interactions with the police. Yet, using this logic to understand why black offenders are shot at higher rates, is a struggle. Beyond Reacting
For one thing, our initial response is not always what’s best for us or for the other people involved. Reacting to childish rage with childish rage will escalate the negativity in a situation, further ensnaring us in an undesirable dynamic. Similarly, when we react defensively or simply thoughtlessly, we often end up feeling regret over our words or actions. In the end, we will save ourselves a lot of pain if we learn to take a deep breath and really tune in to ourselves and the other person before we respond. This doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t say anything, although in some cases, that may be the best option.
Some situations require a fairly immediate response, but even just a
moment of grounding ourselves before we do so can help enormously. The
next time you find yourself wanting to react, try to pause, and in that
pause, take a deep breath. Feel your feet on the floor, the air on your
skin, and listen for a response to arise within you, rather than just
going with the first thing that pops into your head. You may find that
in that moment, there is the potential to move beyond reaction and into
the more subtle and creative realm of response, where something new can

In recent weeks organised gang rape there has been a social media awakening of the decades-long practice of rape of early teenage and pre-teen girls in England. Interest was stoked in part because Elon Musk highlighted the subject, and his wide media reach undercut efforts by recent U.K. Governments and the local media to keep the abuse and the perpetrators out of the public consciousness. The issue may be new to many, but it has been in the public domain for over two decades. People in positions of power decided that it was better to allow more girls (the girls of others) to be systematically abused and raped as they considered that addressing the problem might stoke social disorder.
The scale, like the problem the NY Times highlighted, is also vast. In the town of Rotherham where it was originally identified, it is thought at least 1,400 young girls were systematically abused and raped, often for years on end.
