The Original ‘Druid’

He survived the catacombs ... he escaped certain death ...
For he bore the blood they sought ... the very line which had been dammed by the crown
Somehow he was able to avoid detection ... escaping by sea; leaving forever his home land...
Beyond that his life went on ...
He carried his memories of home with him for the rest of his life
Oral teachings he spoke of to all who would listen
In that way ... his kin lived on ... for he was to never to forget his bloodline
He could not ... discarnate entities refused to permit him to deny himself.
He was proud of his line ... he invented tales of bravery and myth;
Ridiculous stories which bore the seeds of truth ... deliberately brazen
A storyteller ... a singer ... a priest ... a bard
He was of the first to call themselves Druid.
His forefathers would be proud ... the ancestral spirits encouraging him to live on
In Albion he made his home ...
Amid the legends and fables of another culture
One seemingly alien to his own ... but one that carried similar seeds.
Soon his movement grew as more and more peaceful souls followed his lead
Teachings became rooted in his new land ....
Foundations cast in stone which would last for aeons
Of this he was proud ....
His favourite places ... those sacred, hallowed places of a forgotten age
Special realms which would answer to his call ... permitting him entry into a living lore
The land bearing memories of the past from which he could learn of more
Ancient peoples taught by elder races to preserve the land and to harness the earth power ...
Soon this too would become embroidered in his way of life ...
Mighty sarcen rounds to be his libraries and his power houses
His purity of vision and soul rejuvenating engines which had been left neglected for so long
Thus ... he was able to access places which existed beyond the earthly plane ....
Often he would see himself there ... wandering similar pathways in other existences;
All bearers of the same soul ... the same bloodline ... the same origins
All cogs of the same wheel ... seekers of truth and knowledge ...
All suffering the same punishment from factions of fellow man ...
He would often smile ... when he gazed at the world beyond the cocoon of his special places
A world of darkness and pain ... a world brought into ruination by mankind’s greed and lust
Thus he learned quickly to permit his way of life to be one lived freely ... it was not to be a religion
A way of life in which souls could learn of truth of life and its interconnection with all things ....
Thus ... his life purpose was fulfilled ....
