Ouija Boards vs. Angel Boards – Are They Just Games?

Spirit boards, Ouija boards, Witch boards, Talking boards, and Angel boards are probably the most frightening game boards available on the market today. Featured in such films as "Witchboard" and "The Exorcist," they are frightening, malevolent forces. But if they are games, how harmful can they be?

The boards, methods of spirit communication, have been used for centuries. Supposedly, once you set up the board, spirits consider it an open invitation to communicate with you. Since the intention of the user is to communicate with the dead, and the emotion of the user is filled with expectancy. Later developed into a game by Parker Brothers, the Ouija has been both feared and revered by ordinary people and occultists alike. Its reputation is cloaked in trepidation. If you Google the word Ouija, in fact, you will find that though the game is widely popular, it is also purportedly evil. Stories abound about the negative aspects of using the Ouija, and many former users warn others of its dangers, dangers that have caused numerous people to toss their boards into the fire or into the trash.

Angel boards, on the other hand, boast connections to more spiritually evolved entities, specifically guardian angels. But when you look at the two, you see more similarities than differences.

Both have letters and numbers, and both invite communication with the "other side." Though the newer Angel boards claim to connect you with your guardian angel, they don't relate how you would know if the entity who moves your hand is actually who you think it is.
