CALL THIS SUMMER? Yesterday's deluge

Experts at the World Meteorological Organisation predict the wet weather could even last until winter.Torrential downpours sparked devastating flash floods across Britain yesterday. There was road and rail chaos as almost two months’ worth of rain fell on parts of the country, with some areas hit by up to four inches of rain in just a few hours. Forecasters warned July looks set to be the wettest on record, and that there is no prospect of normal summer weather until August. At least two people died and others abandoned flooded homes and hospitals. Schools were closed and concerts and sports events were cancelled. (Sunday Express)
