The Mystery of Human Spontaneous Involuntary Invisibility

 Have you ever felt like you were invisible to others? Have you ever wondered if it was possible to disappear from sight without any external device or intervention? If so, you are not alone. There are many people who have reported experiencing human spontaneous involuntary invisibility (HSII), a phenomenon where they become unseen and unheard by others, even though they are physically present and unaware of their condition.

In this article, Donna Higbee, CHT, will explore some of the cases and theories of HSII, based on the research of hundreds of stories from people who have encountered this phenomenon.

In the summer of 1994, I became aware of a very strange phenomenon, human spontaneous involuntary invisibility, which was apparently happening to people in the U.S. When I checked with other researchers and discovered that a number of them had also heard of such cases, I decided to place an inquiry letter in several well-known journals, asking other researchers and the general public if they had any experiences of this nature that they would like to share with me.

Trumpet sounds from the sky are getting weirder all over the world

 For several years, people around the world have reported hearing strange noises coming from the sky. These noises have been described as loud booms, metallic clangs, humming, or even trumpet-like sounds. Some people have recorded these sounds and uploaded them to social media platforms, where they have generated curiosity and speculation. 

What are these mysterious sounds and where do they come from?

A series of loud and unusual sounds from an invisible source, which began in March 2023, as if coming from the sky, continues to flow around the world, frightening people who are faced with the phenomenon.

Dear Spiritual Diary - "The Visitor At The Foot Of The Stairs"

 Dear spiritual diary, we had an interesting experience take place a couple of nights ago, and it was so much more than just coincidence.

Having been aware of a presence at the foot of the stairs for several weeks now, it came as no surprise what happened recently.

The family dog had been lying down at the foot of the stairs, and seemed to be aware of something, or someone, above him on the stairs.

I made a comment at that moment, "there is someone on the stairs again."

Almost immediately, which appeared to confirm the presence was indeed there, and had made an intelligent response, there was the sound of three clearly audible creaks from the stair treads of the stairs in approximately that location.

Our stair case does not creak. It cannot have been due to moisture movement etc .... the only explanation was the invisible visitor who often stands there.

I checked the stairs out, and could not make the stair treads creak, no matter how many times I walked and jumped on the treads. The only creaking noise I could create was actually from the balustrades which are loose.

However, I was not able to reproduce the three audible creaks in the way we had clearly heard them ....

Psychomanteum

 A psychomanteum is a small, dark chamber used to facilitate communication with a particular departed soul. Its origin stems from an ancient Greek ritual for contacting those in the spirit realm. At that time, individuals were led through an underground maze to a dimly lit place so they would be away from outside stimuli. In that area was a cauldron or bowl filled with water or oil. The person would gaze directly into the cauldron, look at and focus on his own reflection in the hope that the spirit would appear.

This was actually an early form of scrying, which is a type of divination used to predict the future by gazing into a crystal ball (crystallomancy), other shiny object or reflective surface. Reflective surfaces were believed to be a portal to the spirit world. Throughout ancient history, many cultures have used other methods, using herbs, plants, smoke or drumming, to induce an altered state of mind to achieve a higher consciousness in order to contact spirits for guidance, to answer questions, to heal and to connect with ancestors who had passed.

The earliest known term used for these chambers was psuchomanteia. In the 20th century, Raymond Moody, M.D., Ph.D., grief counselor, respected researcher in near-death experiences and author of Life after Life and other works, was inspired by the writings of Herodotus about the Oracle of the Dead and Homer in The Odyssey, in which they described these chambers. Moody believed that such a chamber would help individuals through the grieving process after the death of a loved one or friend. The time spent contacting and connecting with those in the spirit realm would help or create a powerful impact on emotional healing. Moody recreated a modern-day chamber and called it a psychomanteum. Thoughtography (Thought Photography)

 A group of precocious teenagers, the most gifted of whom, Gilbert Roller, was a budding amateur photographer, attempted during their séances, to get some kind of impressions on film.  This was in the early 1930s and they were using emulsion-coated glass plates that were inserted into the camera and exposed one at a time.

The boys took the plates into the bedroom and placed one, chosen at random, on the table. For the first trial they decided to have someone place his hand on the plate in the darkened room. As usual we kept a vigilant contact of hands and feet.

They sat expectantly in the dark waiting for a rap to signal them when the required time had passed. After several minutes, they got discouraged and put the plate aside thinking it wouldn’t be worth developing since it was impossible for the plate to have been affected.

They went on with the sitting asking the “force” to give them a message, if it had any, by knocking after the appropriate letter in the alphabet as it was called off by one of the sitters. The rappings immediately spelled out “p-l-a-t-e.” They grabbed the metal holder, jumped up and made a bee-line for the bathroom.  As Gil dunked the glass in and out of the chemicals, the others watched in awe. Paranormal Séance Sounds

 Probably the most frequent of séance phenomena are various kinds of sounds heard, which are not made in the usual way. They include more varieties than can be listed here.

You hear most often of raps or knocks, but even these can be whisper soft thuds to ear-shattering BANGS coming from furniture, walls, floors, the ground or the air.  They may sound like scratches, hammering or even voices, speaking or singing.

Several scientists have analyzed recordings of raps produced at séances and compared them with knocks made normally and found differences. A Knife Wielding Entity & Night Stalker

How would you cope if the knife wielding entity, captured in this image started entering your dreams and trying to cut you with his knife. The dream being so real you wake up the next day with marks on your torso?

This is a TRUE STORY. 

There was a team of investigators at this particular paranormal investigation. We were aware 'something' was at this spot. But this image was only seen several hours after the investigation. The entity is slightly off centre and can be seen with arm pointing a knife towards the camera, with his other arm raised above his head in a classic swashbuckling pose.

It was a few nights later that one of the investigators reported that her children were being attacked in their dreams by a man wielding a knife!! The investigator herself then began experiencing the same horrific nightly visitation.

It didn't stop there either! The photographer himself (Me) began having the same visitations after I'd gone back to the spot at the next investigation and challenged the entity to leave our friend and her children alone, and attack me instead! It did.

One night not long after the attack was extremely intense ... and so very real. The next morning I discovered the same scratches on my right side, that my friend had also found after her night terror.

Fortunately, the attacks ceased not long after ...
 

Weird or What?

I witnessed a very strange phenomenon today. One which I'd heard talk of in the past, but never witnessed personally. 

However, I am happy to say I can vouch for the fact the phenomenon happens!

We'd gone for a walk along Cockermouth sands in Lancashire; we'd been trying to find a certain farm and had been unsuccessful. However, we had our dog with us and decided a bracing walk along the edge of the salt marshes was a good idea.

We were on our way back to the car; I spotted a Reed Bunting flying over the marsh. I could hear its call, got my camera ready for a photograph and was watching its flight path to anticipate where to try to capture a photograph of it.

I could clearly see the bird in the blue sky ... I could also hear it clearly ... then suddenly I watched it disappear!! It was no longer in sight. I hadn't lost sight of it. No, it was there one minute and gone in an instance. No doubt about it. I watched it disappear right before my eyes.

I'd been commenting to my wife about five minutes earlier, as we watched Canada Geese in flight formation, that many of the migrating birds fly through portals in the earth's magnetic fields, and that was how they travelled the great distances. Going from point A to point B in an instance.

So it was weird to watch a small Reed Bunting seemingly do that very thing before my eyes ... it just seemed to disappear as if it had gone through an invisible (T the human eye) portal.

About ten minutes later, my wife spotted another tiny bird flying above our heads. When I saw it, there appeared a second small bird flying. As I watched, I clearly saw the first one disappear and then the second do the same thing ... again, I did not lose sight of them ... they just disappeared ....

When Your Feet Are Grabbed At Night, Who Might It Be?

It's not imagination when it happened night after night for many years; when a real fear developed as a result of the phenomenon occurring on a regular basis.

It was so very real and so very scary, especially when it was impossible to determine who was the instigator.

It began suddenly as a young child. Occasionally, one foot or both feet sticking out of the end of a duvet (Doona) would be brushed against or grabbed. Then it was virtually every night ... and then it wouldn't happen for weeks or even years. Then mysteriously it began again, just as you were drifting off to sleep, a foot would be brished against or grabbed.

So now a real fear has developed when feet are outside of the protection of a quilt. A paranoia perhaps, thought the phenomenon was ever so real. And at one point, even with feet safely tucked inside a quilt, a exposed arm was grabbed in much the same way.

And the perpetrator was never human, because no-one else was ever in the room; or if they were they were sleeping soundly beside me away from my feet out of the end of the quilt. This was a definite hand grabbing or brushing against my feet ... something invisible or unseen making its mysterious presence known. And even now, with a year or two since the last occurrence, I live with the fear of my feet being extended outside of a quilt. On a final note, this phenomenon only happened at night, never by day ... a very strange occurrence.

Transfiguration

A form of 'shapeshifting' ... whereby a physical medium is observed being overshadowed by the face of another seperate entity. It literally means, “Seeing Spirit on the face of another person,” and that the persons features are changed into those resembling a passed over spirit.

This is a very serious connection with Spirit, and not be undertaken lightly. It has been used in recent years as something of an ‘entertainment’, where certain people are taken onto a stage by a medium, and Spirit is brought through... if undertaken in the right setting, usually in a small intimate group, this can bring real benefits and blessings to the relatives of the person who has passed over. But on large-scale in a huge hall with hundreds of people, this can often be confusing and inappropriate to many of the people taking part.

From a personal perspective, transfiguration can induce a very intense and uplifting state of mind. It requires a specific and dynamic energy level to occur. More often than not the achievement of this energy level is somewhat hit and miss. The phenomenon of transfiguration can fluctuate between a definite recognition of a 'loved one' including the medium's own eyes being replaced by the eyes of the 'spirit'; to that of indistinct shadow like details on the face which cannot clearly be discerned by witnesses.

Almost always there is the experience of a 'spiralling out of the body' as the consciousness of the medium is sensed leaving the physical body. This can result in bi-location ... whereby the awareness of the medium is both within the body and outside of the body simultaneously. The part of the awareness remaining in the body will then experience the physical symptoms and characteristics of the occupying spirit.

More often than not these physical traits will be confirmed by those who the 'loved one' was linked to on the earth plane. The part of the awareness outside of the body will more often than not be completely unaware of what is taking place with the physical body.

Transfiguration is a serious undertaking which can have major psychological effects on mediums not totally prepared for the experience. There must always be an agreement between the medium and visiting 'loved one' .... in one sense of the word, transfiguration is a form of 'possession'. Theoretically speaking, if the visiting spirit is a stronger energy than the medium, then it may be possible for the visiting spirit to refuse to leave the physical body after transfiguration. It has never happened to me personally ... each and every time an 'agreement and understanding' has been forged with the visitor to vacate the physical body on request ....MATTHEW JAMES

A Word on 'Electronic Voice Phenomenon'

Electronic voice phenomena are electronically captured sounds that resemble speech, but are not the result of intentional voice recordings. Common sources include static, stray radio transmissions and background noise. Some people claim these sounds are of paranormal origin. Others claim there are natural explanations such as apophenia (finding significance in insignificant phenomena), auditory pareidolia (interpreting random sounds as voices in their own language), equipment artefacts, and simple hoaxes. Recordings of electronic voice phenomena are often created from background sound by increasing the gain (i.e. sensitivity) of the recording equipment.

A Word on 'Ley Lines'

Ley-lines are rhythms of energy. All living things emit these unseen influences. We sense them intuitively and logically, even if we can't see them. When a magnet attracts iron filings we can't see the cause, but we can see the result and in turn know the energy exists.

The Earth is a living being and many of these invisible dynamics that the Earth emits interact between a human being and the planet. One such unseen force is Ley-lines. Sometimes called 'Telluric Pathways", Ley-lines are often not easily recognised. Some have compared Ley-lines to the acupuncture meridians of the human body. Certain points on the body are energy centers that transmit or receive strength to or from other locations. Ley-lines transmit or receive energies around the globe.

When these pathways were mapped in England at the beginning of the 21st Century they appeared to connect one holy shrine to another. The ancients of each civilisation knew the paths of the Ley-lines and how to amplify the already abundant energy. Native cultures in the Americas called them 'The Spirit Path'. The Chinese understood them to be a balance between the yin and the yang and the Aborigines of Australia called them "Song Lines". Our ancestors often travelled the pathways in solitude, allowing communion between their physical, mental and spiritual being and the Divine. The Spook Light can be found south of Joplin, Missouri, a town now better known as the site of a devastating F5 tornado in 2011. The anomaly is variously called the Spook Light, Ghost Light, Joplin Ghost Light, Ozark Spook Light, Devil's Jack-O'-Lantern, Hornet Ghost Light, and others.

Otherworldly photos capture mysterious phenomena in upper atmosphere

S.O.T.T: In the blink of an eye, an enormous bright red light flashes above a thundercloud, spreading energetic branches that extend five times taller than Mount Everest and look like jellyfish tendrils and angel's wings.

A Word on 'Spirit Portals'

UFO sighting filmed by Russian rafters

Another "accidental" UFO sighting was caught on video, this time over an unidentified seaside area in Russia, by rafters enjoying a day out on the ocean. The video, posted to YouTube, shows a group of rafting enthusiasts pulling up their inflatables to the shore after an obviously enjoyable excursion. Something flies overhead at an incredible speed, and it's only noticeable when the sequence is slowed down and enhanced. Thankfully, the makers of the video oblige and the results are spectacular. The unidentified flying object is of the saucer type, elongated and dark in color. It doesn't look like a bird and it's flying past so quickly, it's not like any known conventional aircraft. So what is it?
