The Emerald Tablet: What Secrets Does It Hide

 The Emerald Tablet is an ancient artifact whose current whereabouts are unknown. What was written on it is the foundation of Hermetic Philosophy and perhaps it contains a recipe for preparing the philosopher’s stone which can turn metals into gold.

Or else it symbolizes the spiritual equivalent, purifying the soul. Versions of its text became known to the Christian world after the fourteenth century through Arabic translations.

The physical Emerald Tablet was described as a rectangular object of exquisite workmanship, with its sacred message written in bas-relief or carved out, using an alphabet similar to Phoenician.

Supposedly this tablet is made of emerald, a gem cherished by the ancients. We have been reading and listening about the Great Pyramids of Giza since our childhood whether we are Jews, Christians or belong to the religion, Islam. General facts about the Pyramids which probably every search site would display includes it’s construction with heavyweight stones. Very heavy at that. It is to the extent that some fact gatherers also proclaimed those stones could have been used as a boundary wall around the globe. Khufu the Pharoah is generally accepted as the builder of this marvelous piece of art. The archaeological findings assert the pyramids to be a tomb or safe to the embalmed bodies of the powerful monarchs of the past. According to an Arab Historian, Ibrahim-al-Maqrizi, the Great Pyramids were constructed by a king who ruled the world even before the Great Flood, named by Surid Ibn Salhouk. Some sacred books have this name with variations as Enoch and Idris and Hermes. Ancient legends let us know more about the character of Enoch. His reign comprised of almost 243 years.

Thoth: The Sacred Geometer

[Wake Up World]: The Silk Road, and more accurately The Silk Roads, spanned from China to The Mediterranean Sea, also connecting Persia, India and West Africa. Emerald Tablet: The Translation of the Ultimate Source of Alchemy

[Humans Are Free]: Considered the original Source of Hermetic Philosophy and Alchemy, The Emerald Tablets is regarded as one of the most mysterious ancient texts on Earth.

Egypt in the Western Occult Tradition

New Dawn Magazine: "Egypt, Egypt, of your reverent deeds only stories will survive, and they will be incredible to your children! Only words cut in stone will survive to tell your faithful works, and the Scythian or Indian or some such neighbour barbarian will dwell in Egypt."

This haunting passage comes from the Corpus Hermeticum, the celebrated ‘Hermetic’ body of writings, believed to go back to Hermes Trismegistus himself, a semidivine figure associated with the Greek god Hermes and his Egyptian equivalent, Thoth.

These texts go back no further than the early centuries of the Common Era. The passage above hints at their purpose: to preserve something of the knowledge of Ancient Egypt as its civilisation began to decay. Here is a good place to start when looking at Egypt’s role in the Western occult tradition.

The Corpus Hermeticum was brought to Italy in the mid-fifteenth century by Greeks fleeing the collapsing Byzantine Empire. The great patron of the arts, Cosimo de’ Medici, had these texts translated into Latin almost immediately. Because scholars thought they went back to Hermes Trismegistus, believed to be a contemporary, and perhaps a teacher, of Moses, they were held in the highest esteem for almost two centuries. When their true date was discovered, they lost much of their prestige, and they have never quite regained it. Nevertheless, they have shaped the Western esoteric tradition in innumerable ways.

Consider Athanasius Kircher, a seventeenth-century Jesuit who, in the subtitle of Joscelyn Godwin’s recent book about him, was “the last man to search for universal knowledge.” Part of the knowledge he sought was the meaning of the hieroglyphs. Title: Realisation

It's time to discard the out-dated identity and with it a 'title' that truly doesn't define me ... titles are vibrations that limit the energy that flows and which defines the identity of the carrier of that title, thus titles must be carefully chosen for they create your nature.

And my nature was never really what people assumed I was publically. I went along with that title and that energy force, to conform. Otherwise if I was to have used my most efficient title... or no title at all, so I can just be 'I am I" ... there would have been no recognition. For my most efficient title describes an air that is from the ancient past. So few practitioners exist. But needs must for me to become efficient once again.

Thus R.J. Stewart was correct when he stated that 'mediation is not a matter of passive reception as in the popularised and superficial process of mediumship'. That title is misconstrued, overused and abused by so many egos that scurry around the new age circuit. All the wannabes who fail to comprehend what the title really is. They practice it so poorly because that title is a wrongful claim by them, and their air is tarnished and they are not using their energy efficiently. They claim the title so they can get attention and can get recognised ... thus the energy they accumulate via the title is too great for their evolution to process and comprehend.

I choose, thus, to return back to where I was before that title distracted me. I return back to the function of mediation and the ability I have to be an interface between this virtual world and all the other worlds that exist outside the boundaries of this vibration. The title 'mediumship' does not permit that function. For 'mediumship' has nothing to do with linking to the higher modes of awareness. The title limits you to the ex-human realms. It does not permit an interface with the non-human or the trans-human. For so long the non-human have permitted me to converse with them; to be aware of the them; and to be able to see them.

Thus I accept the realisation that the previous wheel must turn again so I can thus assume the role of being 'a channel for a specific power to flow out into this virtual world'. I thus accept that burden and permit myself to be that air as efficiently as the specific power dictates. Thankfully, I've known my entire life just who that specific power is ... and it requires me to realise just what it makes me this time, this place, this face ... I am but one of the many 'Merlins' this time. I have always been, and shall assume that 'air' again ... Matthew James

Each has his own part to play in the cycles.

The Enochian Language

The Magical language used in certain magick rituals is Enochian (Enoch), a language thought to be older than Sanskrit, with a sound grammatical and syntactical basis. It resembles Arabic in some sounds and Hebrew and Latin in others. It first appeared in print in 1659 in a biography of John Dee. The barbaric tonal qualities of this language gives it a truley magical effect wich cannot be described.

In the year of 1581 through the extraordinary efforts of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly, the secrets that were lost with the patriarch of the Bible known as Enoch were returned to those who thirst for the knowledge of Light. Dee kept close records of their intensive work. Although some of Dee's work has been lost, much of it is to be found in Sloane Documents 3188,3189, 3191, 3677, and 3679. These documents are to be found at the British Museum in London.

One of the most important breakthroughs in the rediscovery of these lost secrets was an entirely new language. This language contained its own grammar and syntax. It is an Angelic language often referred to as "Enochian." Dee and Kelly used great care and effort when receiving the lost knowledge of Enoch. The dictating Angel was the Great Angel Ave. Many hours were spent bringing forth the information by Dee and Kelly. Often times sessions would last 8 to 10 hours a day. Some of the material was actually dictated backwards by the Angel so as not to invoke dangerous forces of power.

The beginnings of Enochian Magic were coming into place, but the information was just information. It was not a system of any usable value. Thus, for the most part, it remained dormant, undefined and unusable. Then, over 200 years later, this body of raw knowledge that Dee & Kelly painstakingly uncovered was given form and life by the genius of S.L. MacGregor Mathers. Enochian Magic was born! Under the tutelage of Mathers, the Second (Inner) Order of the Golden Dawn began working the most powerful system of magic the world has or would ever see.

Years later in Chicago, a disgruntled Paul Foster Case (after being expelled from the order by Moina Mathers) ,would lead a quiet crusade to convince fellow students that Enochian Magic was "volatile and dangerous." Case would even go so far as to have it sliced and diced out of all Inner Order Teachings of a group he founded called the Builders of the Adytum. Others would follow in Case's footsteps, claiming Enochian was too dangerous.

When used with caution and in accordance with Second Order Teachings, it is reputed that Enochian Magic is not only safe, but it is utterly effective in the physical world, and illuminating in the area of Spiritual development!
