How to get to a parallel universe: the answer from physicists may surprise

 If parallel universes exist, then there is at least one way to get to a place that is different from our reality.

So far, the existence of parallel universes is mostly associated with science fiction. But there are scientific theories that suggest that other universes exist. If so, how can we get there?

The existence of parallel universes is suggested by at least two well-known theories in physics. One of them is called the inflation theory and describes an extremely early universe.

Soon after the Big Bang, not one, but a huge number of universes could have been created, which began to expand at an accelerated rate. Moreover, each universe has different physics and distribution of matter.

But getting to other universes is extremely difficult, because they are beyond the visible space and are moving away from us faster than the speed of light.

Another theory, known as the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, says that when some random quantum process occurs, one universe gets one of the possible outcomes, while other universes get other outcomes. Nipah Virus Triggers Another Bout of Hysteria in the Media

 A large outbreak of hysteria occurred in the media over the past week regarding a small Nipah virus outbreak in eastern India. ‘Hysteria’ is the correct word in terms of proportionality. It is not, unfortunately, the right word in terms of intent. Ten years ago this episode of Nipah virus disease would barely have rated a mention internationally, and certainly not stimulated airport screening and travel warnings – there have been many larger outbreaks of Nipah virus than this one which did not.

The change over recent years is not that people have lost their minds. It relates to the adoption of the fear-panic-profit model that has entrenched itself in international public health. Tens of billions in annual funding are on the table, and they depend – with the thousands of salaries and exorbitant Pharma profits tied to the pandemic industry – on the maintenance of a constant sense of imminent threat.

The World Health Organisation reports two cases from this Nipah outbreak, which is fewer than usual. As is common, they involve health service personnel, a group that is often infected by the virus before the diagnosis is clear in the patients they care for. Nipah virus infection historically has a high mortality rate among those infected, and each death is a tragedy, especially in those who are infected through caring for others. The deliberate hysteria and fearmongering these cases are being used to promote will kill lots more, because they divert resources from programmes aimed at far worse health problems. Is the Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS Alien Technology?

Today I co-authored an intriguing new paper with the brilliant collaborators Adam Hibberd and Adam Crowl from the Initiative for Interstellar Studies in London, UK. The paper is accessible here.

One of the solutions to Enrico Fermi’s question about extraterrestrials: “where is everybody?” is offered by the dark forest hypothesis, popularized by Cixin Liu’s science fiction novel “The Dark Forest.” This hypothesis proposes that our cosmic neighborhood is dangerous, filled with intelligent civilizations that are hostile and silent to avoid detection by potential predators. In this context, the silence in searches for radio signals by the SETI community is not caused by the lack of extraterrestrial intelligent civilizations, but is instead a consequence of them fearing mutual destruction.

Our paper explores the possibility that the recently discovered interstellar object, 3I/ATLAS, may provide evidence in support of the dark forest hypothesis. UK Arrests 33 People a Day for Social Media Posts

 The United Kingdom has eroded all citizens’ individual rights. No one is safe, even if they are thousands of miles away. Around 33 people are arrested each day for voicing opinions or engaging in legal actions that the government does not approve of. 

In 2023, authorities arrested over 12,000 people across England and Wales, citing the Communications Act and the Malicious Communications Act.

Arrests have increased and surpassed national borders. A man from Yorkshire was on holiday in Florida, participating in a favorite state pastime of marksmanship. He posted a picture of himself holding a rifle on social media, which should be perfectly legal. The rifle was lawfully owned and he was on private land. Nevertheless, the image was reported to the authorities, who descended on his home in the middle of the night. Labour Has Gone Beyond Lying to Bullshitting

 Not quite 18 months ago Labour was elected to office having promised “a return to the foundations of good government, national security, secure borders and economic stability”. As he entered Downing Street the Head of Chambers new Prime Minister told us that he would “tread more lightly” on our lives.

It has achieved these things – the return of stability while treading more lightly on our lives – in eccentric ways. Here’s a few of them (by no means exhaustive): the introduction of randomised policing; the cancellation of elections; the effective dissolution of the national borders; the introduction of de facto infanticide; the bewildering surrender of overseas territories (with the twist that we seem to be both buyer and vendor at the same time); the immiserating amplification of cultish environmentalism; the fetishistic regulation of speech; and the criminalisation of silent prayer in public, although only in those places where it is most needed.

Its most recent contribution to the spiritual health of the nation? The proposal that childhood in all its innocence, enchantments and bafflements can be in some circumstances an opportunity for irreversible medical experimentation.

This is not really what most of us were expecting. For some, the thing to focus on here is the lying. To me that seems a bit odd. If a husband tells his wife that he missed dinner because of traffic, when in fact he was out murdering a sex worker, I’m not sure that the lie is the worst thing going on in that situation.

It is true that lying is morally wrong, more so with some lies than with others. St Augustine gives the unimprovable analysis in his sermon De Mendacio. A lie, to count as such, must be a deliberate attempt to mislead. And a lie can never be justified since God is truth, and it can never be morally right to say that the world is not as He has willed it to be, when you know that this is what you are doing.

You shouldn’t even lie to bring about something good, or to avoid something bad. Why? Because lying corrupts the soul, and the tedious formulations of moral relativism or utilitarianism are inapplicable to the deeper truths of spiritual physics.

But all that is by-the-by when talking about this Government, which isn’t so much composed of liars as bullshitters. And in some ways bullshitting is worse than lying....<<<Read More>>>...

Covid Porn is Back

 The tireless hacks at the BBC have emerged from their bunkers once again to terrorise the public by bravely touring the hospitals and whipping up hysteria about the latest outbreak of flu. 

 It seems “literally hundreds” of patients have been bombarding A&E departments, according to Health Editor Hugh Pym and Chloe Hayward who have been courageously touring the front line:

As one patient leaves his room at Leicester Royal Infirmary’s acute unit, cleaning staff are waiting outside.

He is barely out of the room before the bed is stripped and bleach is sprayed. The next patient is already waiting to come in.

Over two days the BBC was given access to the hospital to witness first-hand how it is coping with an early surge of winter bug cases.

Flu season has hit a month earlier than normal this year, with experts warning there appears to be a more severe strain of the virus – mutated H3N2 – circulating.

Hospitals around the country, like this one in Leicester, are doing all they can to avoid becoming completely overwhelmed.

“Completely overwhelmed.” Sounds familiar?

They’re at the Royal Infirmary in Leicester, and after citing some choice case studies, miss no opportunity to make it sound like the end of the world is imminent:

“There are patients in every cubicle,” Consultant Saad Jawaid says, as Paige is wheeled in. “Another ambulance has just rocked up.”

We watch as he works with colleagues in the resus unit to find desperately needed bed spaces.

“When beds are full we have to move people – sometimes that means those who can sit are moved out of beds and into chairs,” he says.

Regardless of the situation in the hospital and the range of conditions people are turning up with, on closer examination it things aren’t quite as bad as the story’s florid copy suggests:

Richard Mitchell has been the Chief Executive of University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust since 2021 – and has witnessed first-hand how it gets harder to cope with each winter that passes.

”We are already seeing very high levels of flu,” he tells us. He expects numbers to climb into January. “That is one of the many things I am concerned about at the moment.

“At this point I feel we are working at the limits of our ability.”

What exactly was he expecting? An idle coast through to April before going on a well-unearned summer break? It raises the interesting question of what people who work for the NHS think they are likely to be confronted with in 21st century Britain.

Scientists Demand Ban on Bacon, Claiming Link to 54,000 Cases of Cancer

Scientists are calling for a ban on supermarket bacon and ham after the chemicals used in their production were linked to more than 50,000 bowel cancer cases. The Mail has more.


A coalition of leading scientists says the refusal to ban nitrites – preservatives used to keep processed meats pink and long-lasting – has come at a devastating human and financial cost, with the NHS footing an estimated £3 billion bill to treat preventable cancers over the past decade.

Their analysis, based on figures from Cancer Research UK and the British Journal of Cancer, estimates that around 5,400 bowel cancer cases each year in the UK are caused by eating processed meats. Treatment costs for each patient average £59,000.

The warning comes exactly 10 years after the World Health Organisation’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified processed meat as a Group 1 carcinogen – placing it in the same risk category as tobacco and asbestos.

Despite this, ministers have done “virtually nothing” to reduce Britons’ exposure, according to Professor Chris Elliott OBE, founder of the Institute for Global Food Security and a former government adviser.

He said: “A decade on from the WHO report, the UK Government has done virtually nothing to reduce exposure to nitrites – the curing agents that make these products pink and long-lasting but also create nitrosamines, compounds known to trigger cancer.

“Every year of delay means more preventable cancers, more families affected and greater strain on the NHS.”

The scientists who worked on the original WHO report have now written to Health Secretary Wes Streeting urging him to ban nitrites in processed meats.

Their landmark report, published in 2015, analysed data from more than 800 studies and found that for every 50g of processed meat eaten a day, the risk of colorectal cancer increased by 18%.

Experts say it is specifically the combination of nitrates and processing methods used in meats such as bacon, ham and sausages that generates carcinogenic compounds when consumed.

Currently, up to 90% of bacon sold in the UK is thought to contain nitrites, which have been linked not only to bowel cancer but also breast and prostate cancers....<<<Read More>>>...

Climate Tipping Points “May Already Have Arrived” Claims New Report – Just in Time for COP30

Writing in the Spectator last week, the Daily Sceptic’s Esteemed Editor-in-Chief Lord Tobes noted that eco-activists were fond of plucking numbers out of the air and claiming that’s how long we have left to save the Earth. 

But, he added, “it looks like they are now facing a ‘tipping point’ of their own”. Also last week, the Guardian commented on the Green Blob-funded ‘Global Tipping Points Report 2025’ and reported its contention that the planet’s first catastrophic climate tipping point had been reached with “coral reefs facing widespread dieback”. 

About time too, Guardianistas might have felt. In June 1999, the newspaper’s veteran eco loon George Monbiot wrote that “the imminent total destruction of the world’s coral reefs is not a scare story but a fact”.

Toby went on to observe Sun Tzu’s maxim that you should never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake, “but I’m beginning to feel sorry for the climate hysterics”. There is none more hysterical (G. Monbiot excepted) than the annual ‘Global Tipping Points Report’, which is primarily bank-rolled by the Bezos Earth Fund. UN to impose a carbon tax on shipping that could double fuel costs for cargo ships – China wins, the rest of the world loses, but Trump is fighting back

 The UN’s International Maritime Organisation is set to impose a carbon tax on shipping fuel, ranging from 19 to 150 per tonne of CO2 emissions, potentially doubling fuel costs for cargo ships.

The US, as the world’s largest importer, would bear the heaviest burden, raising prices on food, fuel and clothing – while China, the top shipbuilder, stands to benefit.

Critics argue the tax is not about climate but globalist control, designed to weaken US economic sovereignty while enriching UN bureaucracies.

The proposed carbon levy, set at 19 to 150 per tonne of CO2 emissions, would force shipping companies to pass costs onto consumers, driving up prices for essential goods. New extraordinary images of the interstellar object flying through our solar system have been released, sparking fresh theories about its origins. 

Although most scientists have concluded that the mysterious object is a comet, NASA's Perseverance rover on the Martian surface sent back photos showing what appears to be a massive cylindrical shape.

Stargazers on social media shared color-enhanced images of the object, dubbed 3I/ATLAS, which showed the interstellar visitor having a green glow as it passed Mars and heads closer to the sun. 

Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, who has been convinced that the object could be an alien craft or probe, analyzed the Perseverance rover's photos by calculating its distance, speed, and camera settings.

According to his initial study, Loeb was not convinced 3I/ATLAS is actually a massive cylindrical object, noting that the strange shape might have been a trick of the rover's camera stretching out its shape.

He explained that the apparent cylinder from the rover's 'Navcam' was likely caused by the camera stacking hundreds of images of 3I/ATLAS over a period of about 10 minutes, making it look more like a log than a ball.

The professor added that 3I/ATLAS is likely smaller and rounder, but still massive, with a potential diameter of more than 28 miles across.

Dr Horace Drew, a retired senior researcher at Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), noted that the mysterious green glow seen in some images could be a result of the object being an interstellar spacecraft coated in nickel....<<<Read More>>>...

They also demand support for biological men who want to “chestfeed” babies, despite questions about whether the practice is harmful.

The comments were made in a 39-page response to a consultation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) on updates to its guidance, following the Supreme Court ruling in April this year that sex in equality laws refers to biological sex.

The guidance, which is waiting final approval by Ministers, is understood to state that trans women cannot be admitted to women’s single sex spaces.

Bristol City Council, whose Green Party leader Tony Dyer has criticised the Supreme Court ruling, raised a number of objections, including urging the EHRC to drop gendered language when referring to pregnancy, maternity and breastfeeding.

One of Britain’s Wokest Councils Has Banned Staff Referring to Parents as Mum and Dad

Merton Council in South London has warned its employees not to make assumptions about a child’s biological parents. Officials say “caregivers” is more appropriate. They have also advised employees not to use the adjectives “young” and “old”. The Sun has more.

Bosses claim not saying the words “mother” and “father” helps to “recognise diverse family formation”.

The council’s 27-page inclusive language guide — obtained by The Sun using Freedom of Information laws — also tells employees not to use “young”, “old” or “mature” for fear of being ageist.

It also advises workers to use “person-centred language” — and avoid gendered phrases such as “man the desk”.

The guidance, drawn up by the debt-stricken council’s equality and diversity team, also warns: “Avoid making assumptions about preferred names or nicknames without asking the individual first.”

Free Speech Union boss Lord Young said: “I’m amazed that Merton Council has time for this nonsense.

“I can only assume fly-tipping and potholes aren’t a problem in Merton.”

Why haven't we done it before? Usually, rockets are launched from west to east, for several important reasons.

On Monday, SpaceX made space history, as four astronauts were launched into a pole-to-pole orbit not traveled by any human before them. But why is this orbit so unusual, and why has nobody done it before?

Though the Fram2 mission is a private one on behalf of cryptocurrency billionaire Chun Wang, the crew has a few scientific tasks.

"During their multi-day mission, Dragon and the crew will explore Earth from a polar orbit and fly over Earth's polar regions for the first time," SpaceX explains. "They will also conduct 22 research [experiments] designed to help advance humanity's capabilities for long-duration space exploration and understanding of human health in space.  The Bovaer/burping cows scandal is bullsh*t, James Delingpole writes as he reveals that a response to one of his tweets demonstrates the public thinks it’s bullsh*t as well.

Despite what corporate media claims, the public doesn’t care if it reduces methane or not and the public doesn’t care that climate alarmists peddle methane as a powerful greenhouse gas. All the public cares about is not feeding dairy cattle with cancer-causing, testicle-shrinking poison.

The point about Bovaer is not that it may or may not be harmless and that it may or may not have a significant impact on cow methane. The point is that it is entirely unnecessary because man-made climate change is TOTALLY made up bollocks.

When they read a phrase as baldly unequivocal as “man-made climate change is TOTALLY made up bollocks,” they no longer sigh uncomfortably and murmur something rueful about “the polar bears” or “Greenland ice sheets” or about how they “can’t believe we can be pumping all that carbon into the atmosphere without making some sort of difference to climate.”

Instead, most sensible people now just nod furiously in agreement.

To mark Islamaphobia Awareness Month, MP calls for Blasphemy laws to be reinstated to protect Islam

At Prime Minister’s Questions (“PMQs”) Keir Starmer refused to rule out introducing blasphemy laws after a Labour MP demanded the Prime Minister prohibits the “desecration of religious texts”, including the Koran, GB News reported.

The question was put to Starmer by Tahir Ali, Labour MP for Birmingham Hall Green and Mosley, who represents Britain’s second-most Muslim constituency. Although Ali made mention of all Abrahamic religions, his question was framed in the context of the UK marking Islamophobia Awareness Month.

The Times columnist and regular writer for the Wall Street Journal Matt Ridley, re-tweeted Davis’ tweet with the comment, “A truly black moment for Britain to hear a prime minister effectively endorse the idea that we should reintroduce blasphemy laws.”

Both GB News and Ridley are misappropriating the Blasphemy laws which were in place to protect the Christian faith as the foundation of Britain’s laws and customs. The laws were not intended to protect all religions.

Blasphemy laws were repealed in England and Wales in 2008, and in Scotland in 2021. However, they remain in force in Northern Ireland.

Blasphemy laws in the UK date back to medieval times, with the common law offence of blasphemy was formally abolished in England and Wales in 2008. Scotland abolished its common law offence of blasphemy in 2021.

The Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 repealed the common law offences of blasphemy and blasphemous libel. The last reported attempt to prosecute someone for blasphemy in England and Wales was in 2008 when a case against BBC Director-General Mark Thompson was rejected by the High Court.

Blasphemy laws remain in force in Northern Ireland, inherited from Irish common law. While there have been no prosecutions under these laws, incitement to religious hatred is an offence in Northern Ireland, although it is rarely prosecuted.

The last reported prosecution for blasphemy in Scotland was in 1843. Due to Scottish law requiring a personal interest in a matter for private prosecution, and the state’s reluctance to initiate a prosecution, it is unlikely that blasphemy laws will be enforced in Scotland.

From 1838, the law of blasphemy only protected the tenets and beliefs of the Church of England. Other Christian denominations were also protected where their beliefs overlapped with those of the Church of England. Blasphemy laws protecting the Christian faith are an extremely important expression of principle – that Jesus’ name is above every other name. The blasphemy law was one part of the UK constitutional framework which recognised the unique contribution and status of Christianity in Britain.

Many secularists have long campaigned for the abolition of blasphemy laws, citing their infringement on freedom of speech and expression. The UK government has also pushed back against international efforts to reinstate blasphemy laws, emphasising the importance of protecting freedom of thought, conscience and belief.

While other religions should be tolerated, Christianity, and only Christianity, needs to be recognised as the official religion of the UK. Acknowledgement that Britain is a Christian country shouldn’t require a law, it should be by consensus and a knowledge of Britain’s customs, laws and constitution.

Socialist Starmer’s eagerness to impose yet more laws to control what people say and think should not surprise anyone. But what should be surprising and deeply concerning is that Starmer refuses to acknowledge that Britain is a Christian country.

That Muslims are demanding Blasphemy laws be implemented to stop so-called “Islamophobia” in a Christian country should also be cause for concern. “Islamaphobia Awareness Month” and outlawing criticism of the Koran is just the beginning. The religion of Islam does not have an equal footing in the UK as one of the Abrahamic religions. Muslims who live in the UK need to first and foremost recognise and respect that the UK is made up of four countries whose laws, customs and values are grounded in Christianity. If Muslims are unable to respect this basic tenet and Christian values are not being followed by the vast majority, then perhaps the Blasphemy laws do need to be reinstated to protect and preserve the Bible, Christians, Christianity, Christian values and the UK constitution....<<<Read More>>>....
