January's 'polar vortex' returned to bury most of the US in snow... despite a record number of 'winter wildfires' breaking out as far north as Oregon.

Mount Sinabung in Indonesia erupted spectacularly... then a string of volcanoes followed the ensuing pyroclastic cloud down the mountain, while another major volcanic eruption occurred in Ecuador.

Severe flooding, tidal surges and hurricane force winds hit Western Europe, while Eastern Europe was hit by heavy snow and ice-storms.

A wildfire broke out in Wales between winter storms... as Atlanta, Georgia was knocked out by snow.

There were record snowfalls in Iran and Tokyo, more 'strange sky sounds' and the Great Lakes almost completely froze over.

A waterspout was filmed off the Australian coast, a major heatwave hit Brazil, and sinkholes opened up all over UK...

Is this normal?!

'Apocalyptic' storm front over Sydney with menacing clouds hundreds of feet high captured on camera by smartphone users

Daily Mail: A gigantic storm front moved in over Sydney on Wednesday and residents were quick to upload dramatic pictures of it to the internet. Huge clouds hundreds of feet high, with some shaped like giant tubes, loomed menacingly over the city during rush hour.

As forecasters warned of heavy rain and flash flooding, Twitter and Facebook became awash with pictures of the looming storm, with one describing the conditions as ‘apocalyptic’. The clouds completely dwarfed the city’s landmarks and the storm forced flights to be diverted. Torrential rain, meanwhile, created severe road delays, with reports of jams several miles in length stretching back from Harbour Bridge.

Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke told The Sydney Morning Herald: ‘Basically we've had the sunniest and warmest day and it's all of a sudden turned quite rainy and thundery… there's storm potential for the next few days.’...read more>>>...

Waking Times: To state the obvious, the weather around the globe keeps getting more and more intense everywhere. It is getting much colder in some regions and much hotter in others. It is global warming and it is global cooling. Record highs, record lows, record heat, record cold. Record swing in temperature changes, record droughts and record rains and record snows. And no one in global power mentions a word about the freaky weather affecting all, which should not surprise anyone paying attention because they don’t talk of the continuing disaster that is Fukushima or the nearly daily gas spills and oil leaks going on across the United States.

England is having the greatest flooding it has ever experienced in 265 years. Recently Scotland was shut down with winds reaching 135 mph while the greatest typhoon in Indonesia destroyed swaths of the Philippines last Fall...read more>>>...
