 The UN Green Climate Fund (“GCF”) is neither Green nor about climate. They are mostly just doing normal foreign aid that the donor countries would be better off doing themselves. They have received and spent over $20 billion to date, with more billions coming.

For example, they fund a lot of water supply systems in dry countries. They call it “climate change adaptation,” but it is not adaptation to climate change. It is addressing a condition that has always existed. It is fraud to call this “climate funding.” The same is true for flood protection in flood-prone areas or improving existing farms, which they also do a lot of.

Moreover, much of this so-called adaptation funding actually increases CO₂ emissions, so it is not even green.

A fine example is their biggest funding to date, which is part of the huge Jordan Desalination Project. The GCF says that Jordan is among the world’s driest countries, so it certainly needs water. Data from the 75th edition of the annual ‘Statistical Review of World Energy‘ will surprise only those ignoring the facts: The world continues to depend massively on fossil fuels [more correctly, hydrocarbon fuels]. Solar and wind technologies, while expanding, still lag ever-rising energy demand, which last year reached a record 600 exajoules. (That’s 600 quintillion joules, where a joule is equal to the work necessary to create one watt of power for one second.)

Of total primary energy consumption, 86% came from fossil fuels – oil at 33.5%; coal, 27.6%; and natural gas, 25.1%. Accounting for just 3% were solar and wind, which are heavily promoted by the European Commission over the much-demonised hydrocarbons.

Despite spending trillions of dollars, the “green transition” is failing

 According to Irina Slav, the global energy transition cost $4 trillion through 2023 and reduced fossil fuels by just 1%. As she put it, “we’ve paid trillions to still depend on hydrocarbons for most of our energy supply.” According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, in 2024, fossil fuels supplied 86.6% of world energy. Thirteen years prior, in 2011, the Statistical Review found that fossil fuels supplied 89.6% of the world’s energy. The difference is three percentage points. While that is slightly better than the 1% that Ms. Slav calculated using two different sources, the picture is still the same – the world is still relying on fossil fuels for almost 87% of its energy.

So, in 13 years, between 2012 and 2023, the global economy spent $4 trillion on moving away from fossil fuels, but still gets almost 87% of its energy from them. Slav also points out that spending on renewable and “clean” energy continued in 2024 to the tune of $2.4 trillion, covering investment in renewable energy, electric vehicles, energy efficiency and power grids. At the same time, coal supplied a record amount of energy in 2024. Biden amps up war on coal in bid to turn America “green” … but energy infrastructure collapse will plunge America’s economy into disarray

EU is realising it is too expensive to implement its “Green Deal” and it can’t afford it

 When the European Union (“EU”) approved its Green Deal, it was done with much fanfare and sparkles. Now, the fanfare and the sparkles are a distant memory as the EU grapples with the actual “how” of the transition equation it wrote for itself. Staying silent on the real costs of the transition push has not helped either.

The EU had set aside some 580 billion euros for its net-zero plan over the period 2021 to 2027. However, it is going to cost a lot more than that – and the EU does not have that kind of money, which is only now coming to light, Oil Price wrote.

Last year, the European Commission estimated the cost of the energy transition at over 700 billion euros in additional annual investments between now and 2050. That’s 700 billion euros to be invested in the transition – and replacement of Russian hydrocarbons – every year. And a good portion of it is coming out of European citizens’ pockets.

This is perhaps the worst possible time for the real costs of the transition [to come] to light—just as Europeans are beginning to feel the pinch of the additional costs that this transition is imposing on household budgets. MEP Rob Roos: The elites have decided we are “living wrongly” and “everything must change” in the name of “climate change”

In 2017, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that all Superchargers in the automaker’s network were being converted to solar.

Superchargers charge vehicles up to the 80% sweet spot in as little as 20 minutes, but to provide that kind of power for nearly 100 bays takes something solar can’t provide – diesel generators.

Investigative journalist Edward Niedermeyer discovered that the station was powered by diesel generators hidden behind a Shell station. Reporters at SF Gate tried to find out how much of the station’s electricity was from the generators, but couldn’t get a response from Tesla.

The station isn’t connected to any dedicated solar farms, which means that absent the diesel generators, the station is powered by California’s grid.

Cobalt is the chemical element found in almost every tech gadget that uses a lithium-powered battery on the market today - a smartphone, tablet or laptop requires a few grams of it, while an electric vehicle requires 10kg.

Apple, Microsoft, Google, Tesla and others all insist that they hold cobalt suppliers to the highest of standards, and that they only trade with smelters and refiners who adhere to their codes of conduct.

But the photos and videos that DailyMail.com can share today from some of the largest mines in Africa - where many of these suppliers get their cobalt - tell a different story.

Speaking to DailyMail.com ahead of its release, Kara, an adjunct lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, said his research proves that the confident assurances of big tech can't be trusted.

'There are hundreds of thousands of the poorest people on the planet [mining for cobalt].

Solar and Wind Renewable Energy Projects are Environmentally Destructive

Solar farms require more land than other energy sources. The low energy density of sunlight and wind is why solar and wind projects require so much land and mining, he said. Solar farms also produce more toxic waste and devastate wildlife habitats. Additionally, there is the human cost: solar panels and batteries made in China, for example, use forced labour – incarcerated Uyghur Muslims against whom genocide is being committed.

British government offering farmers “lump sum” payments to stop growing food, sell their land

The United Kingdom has introduced a new program that offers lump-sum, fiat cash payments to farmers who agree to stop farming and sell their often multi-generational, family-owned land to the government.

According to reports, farmers who accept the cash must either retire or take on a different job of which the government approves. The British government is calling the program a “Basic Payment Scheme” (BPS).

“The purpose is allegedly to fulfill Green policy agendas,” writes Mike Campbell for The Counter Signal.

“Older farmers, who don’t want to change their farming methods, are being asked to quit or sell their land. In turn, new farmers can adopt alternative, environmentally friendly farming techniques.”

The Netherlands is similarly trying to out farming in order to go “green,” though it is doing so by force rather than teasing the agricultural sector into compliance by dangling cash in front of farmers as an incentive.

How UN’s 2030 Agenda Is Driving Farming Restrictions

The United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for sustainable development informs government policies to restrict farming and transform the food systems in different parts of the world, said Alex Newman, an award-winning international journalist who has covered this issue for over a decade.

The 2030 Agenda is a plan of action devised by the United Nations (U.N.) to achieve 17 sustainable development goals (SDG). The goals and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development were adopted by all UN member states in 2015.

Then-Secretary General of the U.N. Ban Ki-moon called the 2030 Agenda “the global declaration of interdependence,” (pdf) Newman said in a recent interview on EpochTV’s “Crossroads” program.

“In my opinion, [it] was a direct swipe at our Declaration of Independence … So instead of being independent nations, we will all be now interdependent.”

The 2030 Agenda “covers every element of human life, every element of the economy,” including global wealth redistribution not only within the nations but also among the nations, Newman commented. The Agenda “specifically says that we need to change the way that we consume and produce goods,” he added.

Goal number two on the 2030 Agenda deals specifically with food, Newman said.

In September 2021, the U.N. held the Food Systems Summit, which emphasized the need “to leverage the power of food systems” for the purpose of achieving all 17 sustainable development goals by 2030, according to a U.N. statement.

When this rule is fully adopted, it means Russia’s Putin will become one of the world’s largest exporters of green energy. That also means NATO and Ukraine are engaged in a war against a green energy leader, while western sanctions have blocked Russia’s exports of green energy.

Glasgow to ban all cars from city centre within five years – exactly in line with the Schwab ‘Great Reset’ and watch others follow

[David Icke]: Scotland’s second biggest city is to ban all cars in the coming years in an effort to tackle climate change.

Within the next five years, the centre of Glasgow is to become car-free as part of a £30bn plan to make the city carbon-neutral by 2030.

The area will be created by 2026 and will stretch from Hope Street and across George Square, to Cathedral Street in the north and Argyle Street in the south of the city centre.

The move comes as part of Scotland’s wider net-zero target of 2045, which details the plans in its fourth National Planning Framework (NPF).

No major road schemes were identified as national priorities with the document.

Scotland’s planning minister, Tom Arthur, has stressed that the planning framework was “a draft document” and said that government policy “aims to reduce car kilometres by 20% by 2030”.
