So What Is A Pathworking?

A pathworking is a journey between the worlds and one of the most exciting excursions we can take. It offers a path through the landscapes of the mind, ways that are as yet barely explored, to the last undiscovered frontier. Pathworkings are doorways between the known and the physical, the unknown and the non-corporeal. They are accomplished through the medium of the creative imagination – the anvil on which all things created and used by mankind are made.

They can cause physical effects in the everyday world, which is the main reason why they have been in secret for so long. It is also the reason why rigorous training in the control of imagination faculty is such a feature in magical schools and orders.

Scientists tell us that the journey we build in our mind is as real to the brain as our daily experiences. The world of the subconscious mind is a real world with real beings. The water is just as wet, the sun is just as hot. The only difference is that we can do things in that world we cannot do in this world. Why? Because in the inner world we admit to no barriers. We use the same powers and senses we have in the real world, but there we believe in them. We think we are dreaming, but it IS real and can use the finer matter of that world to change this one ………

Meditate to Shrink Your Fear Response

[Natural News]: There are several decades worth of recent research conducted by scientific bodies which hail the profound benefits of meditation. Let’s cut right to the chase, with of the most poignant findings from over 7,000 peer-reviewed studies, assembled alongside 5,000-plus year old teachings on the same topic.

All over the world, we’re more fearful than ever. We’ve been through some challenging times in human history – war, famine, anthropogenic disasters, natural disasters, and more. What’s especially insidious about the fear surrounding current events is that it attacks from multiple fronts. We are being psychologically, physiologically, sociologically, and financially devastated all at once. With “outside” fear-makers in an all-time frenzy of activity, meditation is vital to restructuring our worldview and helping to elevate us outside of the fear-paradigm.

Instead of fighting “the system,” we can address the inner demons that make us susceptible to manipulation in the first place. As George Orwell said, “Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution to safeguard the dictatorship.” And Alan Watts has said, ‘We seldom realize that most of our private thoughts and emotions are not our own. we think in terms of languages and images which we did not invent, but that are given to us by our society.”

When we sit in meditation, we can start to unravel the mess of thoughts running rampant. Those thoughts that were “gifted,” often coerced into our minds with incredible vehemence can be seen for what they are. We can then begin to discard thoughts that cause unrest, fear, and disharmony.

Physiologically, the fear response starts in the amygdala, one of the most primitive parts of our brains. It is activated the moment we see an emotion on someone’s face, and certainly when we feel threatened or stressed. Bodily changes begin to start as a cascade of hormones are released on our bloodstream. Our brain overall becomes hyperalert, our pupils dilate, the bronchi in the lungs dilate, and breathing accelerates.

When you meditate, the amygdala is calmed considerably. Not only that it shrinks! MRI scans of individuals who participated in an eight week mindfulness course called the Rotterdam study, had smaller amygdalas and the pre-frontal cortex, associated with awareness, concentration, decision making, and reason, became thicker.

Meditation offers a laundry list of benefits aside from lessening fear, including lengthening our telomeres (an indicator of life span), promoting creativity, increasing memory, reducing stress-induced diseases like cardiovascular disease, minimizing the cytokine storms that come with cortisol-induced inflammation, and causing a greater sense of empathy, it reduces one of the most rampant problems in today’s stress-driven world – fear....<<<Read The Full Article Here>>>...

The Art Of Pathworking & Creative Visualisation

For many years Pathworkings were a closely guarded secret within Occult Schools and Lodges, and even then were kept mainly for the higher degrees. About 30 years ago a number of magi rebelled against this secrecy and let the cat out of the bag, making them available to a wider audience.

What Value Do Pathworkings Have? Pathworkings make use of two of humanity’s most incredible talents – imagination and our ability to create pictures in our minds. They are quite rightly called ‘workings’ because you have to work at making these inner films real and credible. They sharpen the senses and open the mind to the wonders that lie beyond the normal everyday world, in the world of the subconscious mind.

The practice of Pathworking also teaches the basics of the higher levels of symbology, without which the Greater Mysteries are almost impossible to reach.

Stargazing Meditation

Daily Om: Since the beginning of time, humans have gazed at the stars in the night sky with awe, seeking in their luminosity everything from answers to inspiration to guidance. We have emerged from our contemplations with stories of gods and goddesses, maps of the universe, astrology, astronomy, math, and art. We have worshipped, wondered, and even projected ourselves out into space in an attempt to understand their magical essence. We know more now than we ever have about what those celestial lights are, how far away they reside, and what will happen to them over time, but facts and information are still no substitute for experiencing them yourself.

Gazing at the stars is no doubt one of the earliest forms of meditation practiced by human beings, and it is readily available to this day. If you live in a city, you may have a hard time seeing the stars, but a short drive can take you far enough beyond the city lights to reveal their glory. If you live in a rural setting, all you have to do is wait for the sun to set and the night to settle to get the show of your life, every night. If you make a habit of it, you will begin to know the seasonal changes of the night sky, deepening your connection to the earth and the universe in which you live...read more>>>...

The Reality of Shape-shifting

First of all, no matter what you do you are not going to physically turn into an animal, so just drop that idea right now.

But, Shape-shifting is a reality though. It is done through creative visualisation so that you may carry the power and abilities of an animal with you when you need it. Drawing the courage of a lion in the face of adversity is an example where you can draw on the power of an animal spirit in such a way.

Shape-shifting is also a way of getting to know an animal better (the old walk a mile in their shoes bit or perhaps in this case it should be paws....) Finally shape-shifting allows you to take on animal form while on shamanic journeys or while you visit the astral plane.

To learn to shape-shift you should be in a place where you can meditate, but where there is enough room to move around. You should be dressed comfortably (or undressed comfortably, if that is your preference) so that you may move freely. Relax, close your eyes, call and greet the animal spirit you wish to shape-shift to. Let yourself become that animal in posture, stance, movement and sound. How does this animal see, hear, taste, touch, smell? What is it experiencing? Move as it would move. Become it with all the abandon of a small child. Experience it as long as you wish. When you choose thank the animal spirit that has helped guide you in learning its ways and then return to your human body...read more>>>...

A Traveller's Guide To The Tree Of LIfe

Remember to take each path gently. Each and every path should be trodden many times, and in different frames of mind. Over time they will begin to transform and modify themselves to become more personal to you.

The spheres at each end of the paths are much like way-stations - places to start and stop a journey. In order to experience The Tree Of Life as most beneficially as possible, it is important to merely observe the scenery in the early stages. During the workshop for example. Leave it a week or two before immersing yourself deeper into the concepts. Plenty of links to reference material is included with these notes, should you choose to take deeper in roads into the Kabbalah.

To truly appreciate the Tree Of Life it is necessary for you to exercise discretion and discrimination. To tread the paths is to feel the impact of the timeless teachings that have inspired them. Remember the Tree Of Life is a magical system which has been written on the aethers over many centuries. It is a system that DOES have an effect on the sub-conscious frameworks.

SIMPLE TIPS:
1. Make sure you are not disturbed during your pathworkings. This is important.
2. Begin and end the session at the same location.
3. As you walk each path, take note of what you see and record it on your return. Try not to impose what you WANT to see, but let the path reveal itself to you. If you find yourself seeing something before it is described in the narration, relax, it means you are walking the ascribed path.
4. Remember, these are not trips to Disneyland so take them seriously!
5. At the end of each session make sure you have a hot drink and a light snack to help you close down firmly.
6. You will NOT get attacked on any of these paths. Each pathway is protected.

"There is nothing to fear but fear."

"There is nothing to fear but fear." -Ludwig Boerne (1786-1837)

Fear is defined as an unpleasant, often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger, a state marked by this emotion.  Also fear, dread, fright, alarm, panic, trepidation.  As if this wasn't bad enough, fear is actually much worse than this...fear is what keeps us from being and  becoming whole human beings.  You can dress fear up in any one of a number of outfits, you can call it anger, grief, rage, jealousy, depression...but fear is still fear - it is any negative emotion that keeps you from being the best you can be.

Fear is the opposite of love and a negative emotion that you   need to eliminate from your life.  Fear never kept your safe, not one moment of your life, and it's a terrible way to live.

One method of  facing your fear, whatever it is, is to fully go into it - feel it - think about how it would feel to do the thing you fear, or how you would cope with the loss of a loved one, or what's the worst that would happen if you spoke up to the person who's been pushing you around.  Whatever it is that you fear...go into it...feel it...and come out the other side of your fear.  Once you start to face your fears and try to come out on the other side of them, the next thing to do is to force yourself to take some low-risk chances.

Challenge yourself, and with every low-risk challenge you take, your fear will start to fall away.  Even if you don't succeed, your confidence and self-esteem will rise with every risk you take.  The only thing you risk is failure, and it's not even failing if you take a chance.  When you confront your fears you have nothing to lose but fear...what a wonderfully freeing concept!

What is your deepest fear? Or fears? Are you ready to face them … do you know how to face them?

The theory bit is that … scientists tell us that the journey we build in our mind is as real to the brain as our dail experiences. We think we are dreaming, but it IS real and can use the finer matter of that world to change this one

What is Pathworking on the Tree of Life?

The Tree of Life consists of ten Sephira, energetic spheres that Kabbalists say contain different emanations of God. Pathworking is believed to access the energy of these emanations via visualization, enhancing spiritual growth. There are 32 paths, the first ten consisting of the Sephira themselves. The remaining 22 are the "paths" that a pathworker "travels" to connect with the higher self (also called the Holy Guardian Angel) and to the Divine. Each path is associated with one of the Major Arcana of the Tarot and one of the Hebrew letters. The particular Major Arcana card that goes with a path is used as a visual tool to help enter into the meditation. It is also thought to contain archetypal images that evoke the energy needed to complete the journey. The Hebrew letters are believed to have been used by God as tools for creation. They are seen as portals to each path, containing elements of divine energy...read more>>>...

The 21st Path, Kaph, The Wheel

Tarot Pathwork: Imagine that you have gone back in time to the days of King Arthur. You sit at the Round Table dressed as a knight, your armor heavy on your body. The walls around you are filled with tapestries and vaulted windows that look out to a forest of cedar trees. The scent of these trees drift in through the windows while you wait with the other knights for Arthur’s entrance.

The seat across from you is empty, and you study the cross that is carved on its high back, and you realize that this place has been left empty for the king. The table is engraved with occult and astrological symbols. Reaching out, you trace its wavy lines with your fingers and then feel a tingling on both of your palms. Turning your hands over, you see that the symbols have formed a circle on each palm. These lines will now determine your destiny...read more>>>...

Back To The Towering Peaks

Eyes spy the towering peaks ... a majestic sight
A back clothe of shimmering powers in the moonlight
The realm of enchantment towards which the traveller treks tirelessly
The lake shore a place of refuge ... a hidden niche within the rocks ... warmth and safety
Because the traveller has been this way before ... a familiar terrain
Once more in solitude ... again a seeker of the ancient domain
The eagle that resides high in the sky, the guardian to the doorway
It’s presence witnessed on the thermals above the lake earlier in the day.

He sleeps ... and in the night the guardian enters his dreams
Together they walk the busy streets of the trained assassin and the dying screams
As one they witness the steady decay of the material realm
They watch the puppeteer’s blooded hands ... the faceless spectres at the helm
The demon hosts who drive humans into destruction
They watch the gemstones of hope fall into the darkness until they are lost

... their light gone

He wakes sometime in the darkness aware a watcher stood close by
The snarl of the wolf beside him ... a warning cry
His trusted companion ... dedicated as always to its post by his side
Another demon spectre ... its attack deflected; its master defied.

Then its morning ... and by first light he readies himself for the arduous climb ahead
As magician now ... after incantations of power ... his mortal form is shed
And as the silent hawk he now lifts high into the sun kissed sky
The cool of the morning air upon his face ... he utters a mighty cry
And with deadly eyes he scans the summit rocks
... seeing the king of the mountain watching him
On a whim ... he transforms back to the form of a man
Wanders towards the king ... and in the common language he discusses his plan...

Later within the glow of ethereal light ... he traverses the evening sky
Beyond the outer rim of the astral ... with ease the watchers he can defy
Towards the others he glides ... towards the memories of what was ... before the capture
He notes with gratitude his rapture does endure
Beyond the known dimensions he transcends now ... comprehending the transition
Then the rapture is gone...

He is by the shoreline once more
The wolf by his side ... resolve fading, he is no longer sure
The task at hand is such a mighty spell
He is weary ... he is but one solitary shell.
How can one grain of sand change the flow of the beach?
How can the blind be made to see by just one minute strand?

Again as the mortal he fails to understand
But deep down inside the rapture burns with certain flame
There are many others now within the one name...
