Earth Chakras

 As we walk across the Earth, we are moving upon a living being more similar to ourselves than we imagine. Just like us, the Earth has both a physical body and an energetic body, complete with a chakra system identified by ancient mystics and modern scientists alike. Gaia, as the Earth is called when acknowledged as a living entity in her own right, has her own life force and her own path of unfolding, separate from us but also including us. Human beings and Gaia are intertwined on every level, not just the physical. An awareness of her chakras can help us acknowledge, heal, and enable her on her path, just as she selflessly returns the favor to us.

It is generally agreed that Gaia has seven major chakras distributed evenly across her body and connected to one another via two lines of energy that intersect at various points on the Earth. The first chakra is located at Mount Shasta in Northern California; the second is in Lake Titicaca in South America; the third chakra is in Uluru-Kata Tjuta in Australia; the fourth chakra resides in Glastonbury in England; the fifth chakra is between the Great Pyramid and the Mount of Olives; the sixth chakra is in Kuh-e Malek Siah in Iran; and the seventh chakra is in Mount Kailas in Tibet. In addition to her seven major chakras, she has minor chakras and other vortexes of energy that are significant to her life-energy system, and all these energy centers need caretaking. Just as we can heal ourselves through our own chakras, we can heal and support Gaia through hers.

While it would be wonderful to visit one of the Earth’s chakras, you can always participate in loving and healing Gaia wherever you are. Maintaining an awareness of the regions in which her chakras reside can be very powerful. You can place photos of the locales on your altar, sending healing energy to each of her chakras during your meditations. As you consciously connect your energy system to her energy system, the true meaning of groundedness reveals itself — it is a relationship with Gaia in which we acknowledge our calling as the caretakers of her soul....<<<Read More>>>....

The Spirit of a Place

Since ancient times, humans have built sites guided by both the Earth’s life force and benevolent beings of light. It is because of this guidance that the sites we deem sacred have long served as repositories of wisdom, energy, and illumination that can be accessed by all. What inspires us to visit sacred sites varies. Some crave spiritual fulfillment, while others hope to draw upon a site’s energy for enlightenment, healing, deep meditation, and even awareness or knowledge of information long gone.

Sacred sites can appear insignificant to those who close themselves off from the notion of a living Earth. But these sites can provide us with a link to a unified consciousness that involves the living and the dead, infinite cultures, the physical plane, and the spiritual world. When we look beyond well-known sites like Stonehenge, we discover energetically active sites such as the Iron Age Halliggye Fogou caves of Cornwall, England, or the pyramids of Meroe in Sudan. It is easy to imagine that hallowed places exist only in remote or exotic locales. Yet, many of the most vital sites are easily accessible, and visiting these lesser-known sites can be a profoundly moving experience. One such site, Serpent Mound in Ohio, was thought to be created by the ancient Adena peoples nearly 1,000 years ago to align with the summer and winter solstices. Its precise purpose remains unclear, but many who visit the site conclude that it was meant to be a conduit through which cosmic energy could flow into the Earth.

The sacred sites that call to you from afar, capturing your imagination and resonating deep within your soul, will nearly always be those that can help you forge a deeper connection with the divine energy that sustains all life. During your pilgrimage, reaffirm your intention to accept whatever gifts are conveyed to you through the sites you visit. New light on the stone alignments in the Carnac region

The enigmatic stone alignments in the Carnac region of Brittany, France, are among the most famous megalithic monuments in Europe - alongside Stonehenge, Menga, and the megalithic temples of Malta.

For the first time, it has now been possible to date parts of these alignments with a higher precision and gain new insights into their function.

This breakthrough results from a French-Swedish collaboration within the framework of the ERC-funded research project NEOSEA, led by the University of Gothenburg in partnership with the French excavation company Archeodunum and the University of Nantes.

"The alignments in the Carnac region now appear to be among the earliest megalithic monuments in Europe, with this section constructed between 4600 and 4300 cal BC. We have also confirmed the Bay of Morbihan as the earliest megalithic region in Europe," says archaeologist Bettina Schulz Paulsson at the University of Gothenburg, who leads the NEOSEA project and is one of the researchers behind the new study published in Antiquity.

More than 3,000 standing stones stretch over 10 km in the region, from Carnac/La Trinité-sur-Mer to Erdeven, forming a unique concentration of megalithic alignments in a coastal landscape...<<<Read More>>>...
