EFT Is an Effective Tool for Anxiety

The effects of stress on your mental and physical health are being studied more intensively these days. Anxiety can be considered a type of stress response, typically involving a sense of fear, dread, or apprehension.

A brief period of anxiety is a natural, adaptive response to a potential threat, which puts your body into a heightened state of arousal to keep you out of harm’s way — your heart beats faster and your respirations increase as your muscles are prepared for action.

For instance, the anxiety you may feel while hiking near a steep drop-off will likely make you more alert and careful in your movements. The problem arises when anxiety becomes a permanent state in the absence of any real threats.

When anxiety becomes chronic — as it is for an estimated 40 million Americans — it can increase your risk for a number of mental and physical health problems. If you find you spend a good deal of time feeling anxious, then it’s important to take steps to reduce that anxiety before it has a chance to damage your health.

While you can’t eliminate anxiety from your life entirely, energy psychology tools such as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) can help you reduce your stress by correcting the bioelectrical short-circuiting that can happen when anxiety becomes chronic....<<<Read More>>>....

EFT: A Powerful Technique That Brings Fast Relief From Emotional & Physical Stress

[Collective Evolution]: The reality is, we are typically a product of the experiences and belief systems that have shaped us over our lifetime. Whether we had one experience that threw us into a story and belief that we can’t speak well publicly or whether we were told by someone when we were young that we shouldn’t do it, these sorts of belief systems are rehearsed in our minds over and over, and we create powerful neural pathways and biochemical patterns in our bodies based on those beliefs.

Then what happens is, we allow these strengthened subconscious patterns become energy drains that stress us out, limit our choices and ultimately lessen our capacity to cope with the events of life. Tools like EFT or ‘tapping,’ can help us break those patterns.

As stated by Nick Ortner of ‘The Tapping Solution:’

“When you think about your life, what events, limiting beliefs, or deep-seated emotions do you have that are holding you back? Are you aware of what they are and of how they’re limiting you today? If you do know what they are, are you doing anything to release the grip that they have over your life?”

As we’ve discussed many times in our work, we are extraordinary beings with extraordinary capabilities, only, we have forgotten how to access all of our faculties. We are not stuck or limited to the current belief systems we currently hold, and I believe The Tapping Solution is one of many effective tools I’ve seen to help people step out of these belief systems and into our full potential....<<<Read The Full Article Here>>>...

Tapping Into Negative Mental Chatter to Yourself

[Mercola]: Negative self-talk is a common, counterproductive habit that can send you on a downward spiral physically, mentally and emotionally. Self-talk is often critical in nature and may be associated with negative events in your life, which may range from major events, like losing an important account at work, or everyday habits, like eating poorly or not exercising.

As you might suspect, correlations exist between self-critical self-talk and self-esteem,1 such that the more negative thoughts you have about yourself, the more your self-esteem suffers. In the video above, Julie Schiffman demonstrates a simple technique to gain control of negative mental chatter related to weight management or body image.

Schiffman is a practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which is a form of psychological acupressure that involves tapping with the fingertips on specific meridians in order to clear negative emotions and thought patterns.

You can use EFT to help silence your inner critic and give yourself a figurative bear hug instead. The fact is, many of us engage in negative self-talk and are overly critical of ourselves, but you deserve better....<<<Read The Full Article Here>>>...
