The Dogon Tribe and Their Mysterious Connection to Sirius

[Humans Are Free]: The Brightest star(s) in the sky is Sirius without a doubt, the name Sirius, comes from the Greek language and is translated as the glowing one or bright one. And what might appear as a single star is in fact a double or even possibly triple star system according to observations made in the 1920’s.

Apparently, our scientists are beginning to accept just now what ancient people worldwide already knew thousands of years before us, like the Dogon tribe in Africa.

According to the Dogon, the “instructor” gods descended from Sirius and brought knowledge and wisdom. What is interesting is that the Dogon knew about Sirius and its “triple” star system way before “modern” science found out its existence.

According to studies, it is believed that Sirius C, the third system, is a red dwarf star a hundred times less massive than our own Sun, and a lot less bright making it hard to see with our equipment, thus the discovery is still awaiting confirmation from the astronomic community.

But hey, the Dogon knew about the “triple star system” way back and that is whats causing all the stir. Ancient Egyptians also knew Sirius, and just like Orion, they considered this star system very important as they believed that the gods came from Orion and Sirius, Osiris and Isis.

S.O.T.T: Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and had a prominent place in many ancient cultures. Sirius, which is about 8.7 light years from Earth, has a white dwarf companion star, Sirius B. Sirius B cannot be seen with the naked eye, and astronomers first guessed at its existence in the 1830s. They mathematically developed a theoretical model of its orbit around Sirius (now referred to as Sirius A) later in the 19th century.

The astronomers knew that Sirius B must be made of a super dense matter, but the specifics were beyond their comprehension until quantum physics helped explain it in 1926. In 1894, irregularities in the movement of Sirius B led astronomers to consider that a third star, Sirius C, may exist and exert an influence on Sirius B's orbit. It is still a matter of debate whether Sirius C exists or not.
