UK Net Zero policy aims at balancing the production and removal of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and nitrous oxide by 2050. The primary greenhouse gas from transport is CO2 produced by burning fuels containing carbon such as petrol and diesel in conventional internal combustion vehicles. The entire Vehicle Excise Duty regime pivots on this single metric. Current Government transport policy is aimed at reducing CO2 emissions to help meet Net Zero targets. In addition, Government documents also mention as objectives reducing local pollution from transport, improving connectivity across Britain, growing the economy by enhancing the transport network and increasing the global impact of the UK to boost influence and maximise trade. However, these other objectives are not clearly prioritised, the costs and challenges of implementation are not specified and flagrant contradictions between these different aims are simply ignored.

The scale of the challenge of ‘decarbonising’ transport is very large. Transport accounts for 26% of total UK emissions, which is 0.27% of total global emissions. As a rough guide from Government statistics, the major contributing sectors to transport emissions are road transport (70%), aviation (20%) and marine (8%). In Great Britain, there are around 42 million registered road vehicles – 34 million cars, five million vans and 0.8 million heavy goods vehicles and buses. Of these vehicles, as of March 2025 only 1.5 million were pure battery electric vehicles. The International Court of Justice Climate Liability Ruling Sets a Worrying Precedent for Pandemics and Public Health

 Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that the US will dismantle the International Criminal Court and restore the rights of “sovereign states over globalism”. The think tank Policy Exchange, in a new report that contradicts much of its earlier approach to climate policy, warns that a 2025 International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling requires the UK to “arrest” the “trend of abuse of the ICJ’s advisory jurisdiction”.

Unfortunately, that ruling can easily be extrapolated to the domain of global health. Yet, resources devoted to flagship green causes and to pandemic preparedness alike would save more lives if redirected to basic health, nutrition and economic development.

In response to a 2023 UN General Assembly request, the court published its Advisory Opinion a year ago. It concluded that states have legally binding duties to prevent significant environmental harm. Failure to do so leaves a country exposed to claims for restitution from those who have been harmed.

In many countries the Covid response mimicked the climate change playbook. The catastrophism of both agendas was based on models. Claims of scientific authority and existential crisis escalated the agendas into moral crusades and people were asked to bear sacrifices for the good of the collective humanity and the planet.

The Far-Right Terror ‘Plot’ That Didn’t Exist – Until the Government and Media Just Said it Did

 As the heatwave hysteria somewhat subsided, the Telegraph revealed that in the future, use of heat pumps might be rationed at times of energy shortages. 

The Guardian, meanwhile, reported that the Prime Minister’s replacement, Andy Burnham is considering proposals to “make heat pumps cheaper to run than boilers”. The occupier of Number 10 may have changed but a profound unreality is still driving the policy agenda.

The main problem afflicting the green agenda was always physics. The second was economics. And the third was democracy. Heat pumps capture this sequence of problems perfectly. Green technology attempts to convert diffuse, ambient energy into useful energy – heat, in the case of heat pumps. And it does this in place of using a dense energy resource such as gas. But the relative density of these energy sources means that the machine that collects ambient energy must be so much larger, plus its capacities do not fully overlap with what it purportedly replaces. 

Consequently, a heat pump is at least six times as expensive as a gas combi boiler, occupies a much larger part of a home, responds less effectively to a household’s needs and requires the making of substantial alterations to the home and the behaviour of the occupants in order to function as expected. For those many reasons, most people have rejected them.

The Art of Deception

 The man sitting across the table from you is known for trickery. He is a stage magician. You know he employs trickery, so he tells you he is going to do a card trick in which he can't possibly manipulate the cards. In this trick, you will do all of the card handling. He won't touch the cards at all.

He instructs you to cut the deck into four piles. You do so. He then tells you that you are going to randomize the order of the cards by shuffling them around and moving cards from one pile to another. Pointing to a pile of cards, he instructs you to take the top three cards and place them at the bottom of that pile. Then, take the next three cards and place them, one each, on top of the three piles remaining on the table. You repeat the procedure with all four piles of cards. The cards should now be very well mixed.

The man then begins his patter in earnest. He asks you to confirm the fact that he has not touched the cards. You agree. In no way could he have manipulated how you would cut the cards or handle them. Again, you agree. With a smile, he asks you to turn over the top card from each pile. You are amazed. The four aces sit at the top of each of the four piles of cards. For a moment, your mind might actually entertain the possibility that real magic has been performed, though you "know" you've been duped.

The fact is, this trick can be taught in a couple of minutes to any child capable of understanding the instructions. It requires no fine motor skills for clever card handling since the performer does not even handle the deck. The only thing required is setting up the deck before the trick is performed and being able to do a little sales patter in which you get the audience to agree to a statement that is blatantly false.

Take a moment and see if you can identify the lie that makes the trick believable. Everything the magician says is true with one exception. The trick is based completely on a facet of human psychology that most people--stage magicians, salesmen and politicians aside--don't understand. The “news-to-death ratio” is a concept introduced by Hans Rosling during the early days of the 2009 swine flu “pandemic.”

The ratio highlights the disproportionate media coverage of certain diseases, such as swine flu, while others barely get a mention, such as tuberculosis (“TB”).

For example, in the first 13 days of the 2009 swine flu “pandemic,” Rosling calculated that there were 8,176 news stories for every swine flu death compared to 0.1 news stories for every TB death.

Fast forward to today and, as far as the news-to-death ratio is concerned, nothing has changed.

There is a peculiar arithmetic that governs modern health reporting, one that has very little to do with actual risk. Hans Rosling captured it neatly during the 2009 swine flu episode, when he calculated a “news-to-death ratio” of 8,176-to-1. So many will currently be believing this 'developing' crisis that the WHO states will not be a pandemic. You know damn well as the snowball begins to roll it won't stop. Crisis actors galore will appear in photos and video footage in the coming days and weeks to fortify the fear that those behind this BS are trying to generate. They are eager to have ANOTHER fakedemic ... another chance to get their poisons pumped into people's systems in order to maim, injure and kill to aid their depopulation agenda.

It is likely that this post, due to its 'controversial' content, will be taken down, especially as it is odds on the the Hantavirus is destined to become another world wide scaremongering tool by the likes of WHO and its controllers. 

On a final note, the theory of viruses spinning around everywhere is BS in our opinion. NO virus has ever been isolated in a laboratory. Its mere theory. There are dangerous pathogens that can enter the human body, and the resultant immune defence response creates a defence mechanism that can be deemed a virus ... but it is only an immune reponse. It is this immune response that we are being conditioned to be scared of. Not only that, they are trying to condition people to accept their vaccines and other life threatening medicines in lieu of the human bodies immune system. Sadly, after the last fakedemic, there are literally billions of people who are permanently damaged with little or no immune defence left in their bodies. It is said and also horrific ... and sadly, if it did come to the forced vaccines like last time, they will willingly roll up their sleeves and accept the jabs again and again.

We need to somehow find a collective backbone and the ability to shake off the horrendous brainwashing being inflicted on the 'useless eaters' and we need to do it quick. A final message .... do not fall for the latest round of BS.  

Political Betting: Will it be ‘Starmageddon’ for Labour in the Local Elections?

 The polls and the pundits are broadly agreed on the outcome of today’s elections – the only issue in doubt is exactly how great the earthquake will be. 

If we map the Richter scale onto our domestic politics, a rating of around five would be expected to “cause some damage to well-designed structures” and a number higher than eight to lead to “total destruction in communities near the epicentre”. Applying such descriptions to the established political parties (as opposed to the voters themselves), I am firmly in the camp that we will be rather closer to eight than to five.

Looking first at the English local elections, the Conservatives and Labour could find themselves battling it out for the wooden spoon, with one of the grand old parties finishing fourth and the other fifth in terms of council seats won.

Reform will comfortably win the day both in terms of NEV (the national equivalent vote share, which maps the results onto a putative General Election) and in terms of councillors. With regard to the latter, the party is currently defending just 78 of the approximately 5,000 seats up for grabs and will likely emerge with more than 1,500. You might still just find odds of 1/50 on Farage’s teal army taking first place if you fancy a 2% return on investment over just a few days.

The scale of the apocalypse facing Labour is almost unimaginable. Last year the party lost two thirds of the seats it was defending and it may fare even worse this time. In absolute rather than relative terms, the position is bleaker still. In 2025, it had fewer than 300 councillors up for re-election as the areas voting were largely the Tory shires. This time, over 2,000 seats start in the Labour column and it could be reduced to 600 or even fewer. Swathes of the party’s campaigning infrastructure will be overwhelmed as a turquoise tsunami engulfs the Red Wall. Outside London it may struggle to maintain majority control in any area at all with ‘all out’ elections – although it has sufficiently impregnable majorities to remain in power in a good number of places which elect in ‘thirds’.

 You can still just about get 1/2 on the betting exchanges that Starmer will be replaced as Labour leader this year, and I believe that represents good value – as does the 5/2 that a new leader will be in position at some point between July and September. The Pandemic Treaty Fails Again: It’s Time to Talk About Replacing the WHO

 Finalisation of the much-heralded Pandemic Agreement, the flagship of the World Health Organisation’s pandemic agenda, has just been postponed again after another failure to resolve disagreements. Despite heavy pressure from the WHO and European Union in yet another meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, a large bloc of African states is refusing to sign on to what the states consider a clear colonialist agenda. Which of course it is, aimed at putting Covid-era wealth transfers on a more permanent footing.

The WHO, for reasons explained below, is doing what it is paid to do. Major financial sponsors of the WHO have much to gain from getting this agreement through. It has fallen on African leaders, attuned to the model of rich countries and their corporations imposing rules designed for wealth extraction, to protect the rest of us from the farce that the current public health approach to pandemics has become.

The fact that the agency tasked with building capacity and promoting sustainability of low-income health systems is instead doing the opposite now needs to become the central issue of this whole shabby episode. There’s Nothing ‘Decent’ or ‘Competent’ About Keir Starmer

 If there was once thing we were always supposed to believe about Keir Starmer, it’s that he is a technocrat. Boring, sure. Lawyerly, undoubtedly. A man of the system – yes, Mr Speaker. But at least that he was competent and vaguely ‘decent’. All of this, in Starmer’s telling and much of the commentariat’s, placed him in stark contrast to Boris Johnson, the chaotic, devil-may-care populist whose ego meant the rules didn’t apply to him, and the Tories of partygate more generally. Starmer was Mr Rules, Mr Process, who in opposition in 2022, as the very first clause of his “contract with the British people”, pledged a “binding commitment” to “decency and standards in public life”.

Today, with the Mandelson albatross weighing heavier than ever on Starmer’s neck, and his Cabinet debating throwing him overboard in not-so-hushed tones, the twists and turns of this sorry saga have shown that Starmer is anything but. In the latest, Sir Keir is planning to force Labour MPs to vote down any attempt to refer him to a parliamentary sleaze inquiry over the appointment of the Prince of Darkness. This is the same committee which Starmer won great advantage in referring Boris Johnson to in April 2022, shortly before his felling (and which eventually decided that the PM had lied). From the point of view of Keir’s survival this is probably the right move – albeit it sets up an extraordinary test of Labour backbenchers’ careers versus their consciences. But clearly, it is nothing close to allowing “process” to go forward unhindered by political concerns. Like when he banned Manchester mayor and potential leadership rival Andy Burnham from standing in the Gorton and Denton by-election, this is a move of naked political self-interest from a shameless bruiser....<<<Read More>>>....
