JACKDAW - Skelwith Fold, Cumbria

A day out back in familiar environs; old haunts ... Castlerigg Stone Circle, Watendlath, Stickle Gyll Tarn, Skelwith Fold ... all places of my youth and early adult life. It was great to be back ... The Jackdaw stands out as a talisman of change and transformation. Also a death totem. A death of an old persona and life ... being stripped clean to permit the new persona to have a life.

Amateur astronomer films 3 mystery objects dancing past moon

S.O.T.T: A space enthusiast who was recently filming the moon was left baffled when three mystery objects floated past it. He posted the video on YouTube, asking viewers a simple question - "WTF?"

The video begins with the camera focused on the moon and its signature craters. However, at the 1:18 mark, three strange objects can be seen dancing past the moon

It happens quickly, and they rapidly disappear out of frame. But their appearance was enough to leave the man intrigued and confused. So confused that he titled his video 'WTF did I capture passing the moon?'

He believes it was most likely helium balloons that someone released, but admits the theory cannot be confirmed. Others commented that they agreed with the balloon logic, while some suggested they could have been meteorites. One person nonchalantly responded with "Oh you know, just aliens probably." ...read more>>>...

Co-Habitating with Others

Daily Om: Our homes are our havens. These places where we come to rest, recharge, and dream in safety and comfort allow us to better face the challenges of the world outside our doors. When sharing a living space with others, an awareness of the thoughts and feelings of everyone involved is essential in creating the peace we all desire.

Regardless of where we lived before, each time we co-habitate with others it is important that we make the effort to share the space in a way that supports everyone.

We need to remember that in a shared space, everything we sense can also be sensed by another person. Peace will not likely be the result when the senses are filled with the sight of unwashed plates, intrusive sounds, unpleasant smells, the feel of a foreign substance beneath bare feet, or the taste of food tainted by an uncovered onion in the fridge...read more>>>...

PIED CURRAWONG - URAMBI HILLS, CANBERRA

With their distinctive flight patternm appearance and call, the Currawong was a daily power animal of mine. I would regular hear the sound of a Currawong ... and it became, for me, part of my daily routine in my years in Australia. Their call was unmistakable, and I would almost always see a Currawong in flight, in the trees or ground around our home, or in the trees and surrounding environs.

"Realities Within Realities" - Some Simple Metaphysical Concepts

Matthew James discusses some Metaphysical dynamics in this video documentary. He introduces some simple metaphysical concepts and some of his own insights into what is behind this reality.

Are You Sharing Your Experiences With A Watcher?

Have you ever had the feeling that someone else, or something else, is watching the world through your eyes? That your observation of the world is being witnessed at the same time as you?

Can it be possible to have your transmission of observed 'reality' hijacked or shared, much like a smart TV can share its broadcast with multiple users? Are your thoughts and your five sensory interpretations being sent elsewhere, besides to your spirit observer, at this exact moment? And, indeed at any given time during your supposed mortal life?

There is a reference to 'Watchers' in ancient texts. Is this what a Watcher is? Some kind of hi-tech listening or watching device, manned by an advanced intelligence or AI, that is observing your movements on this apparent reality? If so, why?

There have been many instances, when it feels like certain experiences have been shared by a watcher or an observer; and that even thoughts and reactions to experiences are judged in some way. Certain in actions bring about a reaction which is akin to embarrassment ... that those actions are being observed by someone, or something, and that the actions won't be met with approval.

It is sometimes overwhelming, and it has brought about a thought process that there is something else experiencing the life the observer is connected to, at the same time as the observer. Every vision, every thought, everything heard, or tasted, or touched, or smelt. It is like there is an agreement that it is okay, or necessary for this to occur. A strong feeling of not being alone. A feeling of companionship. even. A strange possibility when it is thought about from the perspective of the armchair normal human being.

Lost City of Atlantis

Atlantis was described as Plato as a powerful and advanced kingdom which sank below the waves one fateful night.

Opening a Closed Connection

Daily OM: There may be times when we feel like our connection to the universe is closed. Maybe things don't seem to be going well in our day, or our lives, or we may feel out of our element. The truth is, the universe is always there for us.

We know that we create our experience with our thoughts, and this is another way we need to make a conscious decision about how we want to experience life. It is up to us to do the work of making the connection, because nobody can do it for us, though sometimes the universe may send us wake-up calls.

You can think of it as getting some fresh air. We are always breathing and the air is always around us, surrounding us, moving through us. But we may need to step outside of where we are in the moment--physically, mentally, or emotionally--and make the conscious choice to take a deep breath in order to feel the air coming in and going out....read more>>>...

Spiritual Teachers or Loose Cannons?

This is for the self ordained 'Spiritual Teachers' and 'Spiritual Facilitators' out there ... are you fully conversant with the mechanisms and processes behind the 'spiritual exercises' that you teach? Can you explain how it all works to your students? Or are you just passing on a diluted and reworked version of the 'New Age Theory' that is out there?

Have you identified your own failings, weaknesses and flaws, and are you able to avoid passing those energies on to your students? Do you offer your students the chance to become teacher when their abilities surpass your own?

If you are unable to comprehend, yourself, how the processes work and how it ticks ... then you should not be teaching what you don't understand to anyone, before you totally understand what it is you are dealing with. A spiritual teacher who doesn't comprehend the mechanisms behind their subject matter is a loose cannon.

Many of you are still very much a student of the mystical arts yourself, and should not be in such a position of responsibility ... it should only occur when your own practising has become tried and tested, and you have mastered the arts to such a degree that everything you teach is your own methodology. You will have back engineered the processes, and know how it all works implicitly. If you have to use other people's material, and your training methods are a diluted rehash of everything that is out there, then you should not be a teacher.

Its a real problem at this moment in time ... there are multitudes of apparent 'Spiritual Teachers' and 'Spiritual Facilitators' out there, but they are all clones of each other; they are in competition with each other; and what they are using is pretend mystical arts ... they think what they use is the real deal ... but it is in fact a mind game created by the false ego. It is not the real deal ... and the danger is there are unaware of the spell of illusion they are under. and they are passing the same illusion on to their students ... passing it off as spiritual practice.

They will only be ready to be teach when they lose the show pony and arena sheep mentality ... and develop their own methods that reflect an advanced comprehension of the mystical arts. There are very few out there who show this level of maturity and level of expertise that enables them to be teachers and facilitators.

Clearing Your Mind

Daily OM: After a full day out in the world, stories, words, images, and songs from any number of sources continue to play in our heads hours after we encounter them. Even as we lie in bed, in the quiet dark, our minds continue noisily processing all the input from our day. This can leave us feeling unsettled and harassed.

It also makes it difficult to take in any new information or inspiration. Like a cluttered house that needs to be cleared if it is to have room for movement and new life, our minds need clearing if they are to be open to new information, ideas, and inspiration.

Too often, the activities we choose to help us relax only add to the clutter. Watching television, seeing a movie, reading a book, or talking to a friend all involve taking in more information. In order to really clear our minds, we need a break from mental stimulation. Activities like yoga, dancing, or taking a long walk help to draw our attention to our bodies, slowing our mental activity enough that our minds begin to settle. Deep breathing is an even simpler way to draw attention away from our mental activities...read more>>>...
