Chiron in Karmic Astrology: The Wounded Healer In Your Chart
This asteroid tells us about the emotional wound we have that never heals. In the pain stemming from that wound is our potential as healers. All people have the ability to do good, do you want to know how you can better help others? If you have always had an interest in healing, Chiron in the astral chart can reveal many things about your destiny.
In Greek mythology, Chiron was a centaur with a body half human and half horse. One day he was poisoned with an arrow and his wound turned out to be incurable. This caused him great shame therefore, he decided to take refuge in a cave. Because he was hiding away from the world, Chiron became a wise man, capable of helping anyone who sought for his advice. He did not have the ability to heal himself given the nature of his wound, nonetheless, he could still be useful, for he was capable of doing good for others.
Emotional wounds, although they hurt us, are good because they make us aware of where we should direct our attention: what we have to work on to evolve. Wherever Chiron is in one of the 12 houses, that will be the area where we will not be fluent and it will be difficult for us to know why this is the case. It is the area of life in which there are inequalities, injustices, situations and judgments against oneself. The explanation to these difficulties can be traced back to a remote past, perhaps even to the past of other lives, or to karma....<<<Read The Full Article>>>...

Healing The Split
Everyone is wounded in some way — we have all experienced grievances, losses, shattered dreams or broken promises. We carry a residue of those experiences, as we alter our direction, actions or expectations as a result. Some have deeper wounds than others, having survived truly traumatic events and circumstances which stunt developmental growth in childhood and damage one’s functioning ability as an adult. Whatever the history of our wounds, there is typically a depth at which its effects are so ingrained, so fundamentally a part of us, that it requires a monumental therapeutic focus to affect any real change at that level. Although surface effects may be smoothed, soothed and redirected, the deepest roots of the damage tend to persist and, indeed, tell a story that is uniquely ours. However, much healing may be achieved with dedicated hard work on the issues in question. Those with Chiron prominent in their charts are often beset with some chronic illness or condition which becomes a major obstacle to be overcome in their lives. Whether the person suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, persistent mental illness, or ongoing struggles with self-esteem, finances or career, Chiron is linked to some perpetual condition which yields ongoing distress and requires repeated attention...read more...Thursday, 3 February 2011
Chiron In Pisces
Chiron in Pisces sprinkles healing faery dust on us all from April 2010 until April 2018. Chiron dips into Pisces from Apr.20.2010 to Jul.20.2010, and then from Nov.10.2010 until April 2018. So get comfortable on the magic carpet. We're in for a long ride! The entrance of Chiron into Pisces is especially interesting because it means all the Uranus-conjunct-Pluto kids born in the 1960s are about to go through their Chiron return. Chiron return happens to everyone at around age 50-51. Like any planetary return (when the planet returns to its zodiacal position when you were born), it brings to the foreground the issues, themes, lessons and learning of that planet. You have a chance to take stock of how far you've come since the last return, what you have accomplished and what still needs some work. You'll only have one Chiron return in your life unless you live to be about 100....read more...

Chiron in Virgo
Virgo in our horoscope shows where we can best deal with details, and how we deal with matters of health and general well being. Chiron placed here can produce a person who is excessively critical, obsessed with insignificant details, and cleanliness. Conversely, they may simply give up the struggle and be absolutely horrible when it comes to organizing, doing a decent job, or keeping clean. Hypochondria is also a possibility, but you could also get a person who neglects their own health while giving excellent advise about it to everyone else. Perhaps there was excessive criticism in their childhood ... read more ...

Chiron in Pisces ...
Chiron next enters Pisces on Apr 20, 2010 ... is there a significance with this date? Pre-warned by the most recent crop circle?
A Word on 'Chiron in Astrology'
Chiron in our natal charts points to where we have healing powers as the result of our own deep spiritual wounds. We may over-compensate in these areas of life. Chiron, as a wounded healer, first must face issues of low self-worth and feelings of inadequacy and learn to rise above these issues. Because the wound goes deep, and we may work hard to overcome the wound, healing powers are potent.
The glyph, or symbol, for Chiron resembles a key and is comprised of an "O" and a "K", representing "Object Kowal", which was what Chiron was originally named (Charles Kowal discovered Chiron in 1977).Read More ...

British explorers discover the light at the end of the tunnel... in the world's largest cave
The rocky passage is 150metres long and measures a towering 200metres in height - seven times as high as the vaulted ceiling of York Cathedral.Called Hang Son Doong (Mountain River Cave) it is believed to be almost twice the size of the current record holder.'It is a truly amazing sized cave and one of the most significant discoveries by a British caving team,' said Adam Spillane, a member of the 13-man expedition team.
Using a laser measuring device known as the LaserRace 300, which measures height and width, the team are now back in the UK analysing their readings. The cave was originally discovered in 1991 by a Vietnamese Jungle man called Ho Khanh. However Mr Spillane said no-one had entered if before because 'it emitted a frightful wind and noise which was due to a large underground river'.
But assisted by representatives of Hanoi University of Science, the joint British-Vietnamese Caving Expedition 2009 spent five days exploring the cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in mid-April. The team spent six hours trekking through the jungle to reached the cave. Climbing down into a large chamber, they had to negotiate two underground rivers before reaching the main passage of the Hang Son Doong. (Daily Mail)

Chiron - the Compassionate Centaur
Last of the Centaurs, father of medicine, divination and healing (chiropractor, chiromancy, chirurgery), Chiron has been dubbed "the Rainbow Bridge". Many astrologers focus on the "wounded healer" aspect of Chiron. It is likelt that the placement of Chiron in the birthchart may be indicative of past life karmic wounds, and even present life wounding and pain. While there is consensus that his function astrologically has much to do with healing old wounds ... and also his capacity to feel the pain of others, his highly sensitive and compassionate nature, and his sacrifices for the sake of mankind.
Once immortal Chiron, teacher to many a Greek hero, was very calm and wise by Centaur standards. He represents in each of us the capacity for great compassion, sensitivity and self-sacrifice for the good of others. He was especially civilized for his race, and he trained many a hero - including Heracles, and the intrepid Jason (and the argonauts.)
Abandoned by his mother at birth, accidentally and mortally wounded - Chiron was unable to heal himself in spite of all the knowledge he possessed. Severely and painfully wounded by accident from a poison arrow (reputedly one he had given to Heracles!), he renounced the immortality given him by the gods and gave it to Prometheus in his stead (Prometheus was therefore released from the punishment dealt him by Zeus - of being chained to a rock for all eternity with an eagle tearing at his liver - which he had earned just for tricking the Gods into giving Man too much knowledge - including the use of fire!) So, Chiron was allowed to die - he did not suffer endlessly, but found a way out of his suffering. This is his greatest focus of energy - accepting and transcending his own pain, finding the way, leading, teaching, sensitivity and the capacity for deep inner healing.
One notable fact about Chiron is that his discovery in 1977 seems to coincide with a major shift in medical focus from traditional (Western World) physical body healing to a rich variety of whole mind/body healing tecniques. His half-man half-horse enlightened self has a desire to integrate energies - bring the beast together with the higher mind. According to Zane Stein, when Chiron was discovered, the Galactic Center (26 degrees of Sagittarius) was almost exactly conjunct the Ascendant. What could this mean? Perhaps partly due to Chiron's influence, we are at an evolutionary turning point on many levels, and though not entirely "enlightened" as a race, well on our way to righting many of the wrongs of the past. May Chiron show us the way to use the compassionate power of our minds and the strength of our bodies in unison - for the greatest good of all!

Healing, healing, all the while...
Mercury, the planet of communications, meets Chiron, the planetoid of healing, today. It's a very good day to forgive yourself or someone else.
Chiron is about transition - one transition which he seems to be very good and aiding and abetting is from being angry to being full of compassion. He is also very good at showing us when we have allowed others to treat us like the proverbial doormat and triggering that thing in us which says NO MORE!
If you know you've got into a negative way of thinking and you want to change that, this is the time to work on your thoughts. No one else can do it for you.

Chiron Body & Mind
The Chiron paradigm in relation to Body and Mind asserts that our physiology is a perfect mirror of our consciousness.
In short, in the same way that Chiron in the astrology chart mirrors our issues and Wounds, all our Wounds and issues can be seen upon our countenance in the form of various states of health and disease, in our tensions and relaxations, in our excesses and deficiencies and in our postures and expressions.
Such is the holographic nature of the Body/Mind. The Body/Mind, like the astrology chart, is a Mandala of consciousness. Lop-sided (unbalanced, Wounded) consciousness (in the form of exaggerations and minimizations in our perceptions of the experiences of our lives, i.e. when we exaggerate Aries/Moon dualities and minimize Libra/Sun unity) creates lop-sided physiology (in the form of hypo- (inhibition) and hyper- (activation) reactions of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and the immune system in general).
Conversely, as we Heal our consciousness—i.e. seek out the balancing sides of our Wounds and issues and bring unity to our consciousness—so this is reflected in the Healing of the Body. There is now ample medical and scientific evidence to support the connection between our emotional and mental states and our body’s health and disease.
Moreover, if we examine the extremes of mental and emotional disorders in our society, we can see our own predicament as in a mirror, as brought into sharp relief, as in a powerful microscope. We each have elements of every psychosis and neurosis ever discovered and labeled. Such are the elements of our "Woundedness". Fragmented mental and emotional processes are the symptoms of fragmented consciousness—the dualistic consciousness of our lower nature, of our terrestrial nature, of the "Woundedness" of the horse half of Chiron the centaur.
As we bring our consciousness into greater unity—by seeking the balancing sides of our issues and Wounds—we reconnect with our higher human nature, with our celestial nature. Such Healing goes beyond the illusion of the physical (material) world of reality and reconnects us with the truth of the energetic (spiritual) world of Actuality. Again, there is physics to support this assertion.
The secret to Healing—whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual—is thus to bring the Darknes of our psyche into the Light. As we do so, we gradually awaken to the perfection of our lives and, thus, to the larger Plan and Purpose of existence. (Martin Lass)

Chiron, the Mature Spiritual Warrior
Chiron, a supposed visitor to our solar system, is rather unique. It has an ice tail like a comet, its small (400 kilometres across), but is not an asteroid. It’s not a planet either.
It travels in its own eccentric, individualistic and non-conformist orbit. It may have originated in the Kuiper Belt where Pluto resides – the birthplace of comets, and an area of the solar system that is capable of bridging the higher dimensions to Earth and the lower planes.
Some say it was ‘captured’ by the gravitational forces of our Sun and is here to serve a specific purpose. One day it may become free of its orbit and travel the vast unknown. Being so relatively near to the Sun compared to other comets, its ice will melt away much quicker. This suggests that Chiron hasn’t been around all that long. Time frames such as these are measured in millions of years.
‘Planetoid’ Chiron was discovered on
"Chiron is reawakening teachings that have their origins in antiquity." (www.martinlass.com).
Thus was born the era of Chiron, the healing, multi-dimensional teacher, the sacred warrior and pioneering force that conjures up Divine knowledge through enlightenment and an acceptance of the present, the deeply meaningful truth. Chiron heals the rift between body and spirit. The timing of Chiron’s discovery in this final era on Earth is telling of his gifts. Many will fall short of comprehending, let alone perceiving or benefiting from his message, teachings and good will. Chiron is like Aquarius, being altruistic and free of ulterior motives. It is like Uranus, being eccentric and defiant of conformity, and like Saturn, being the teacher. Uranus and Saturn are the two ruling planets of paradoxical Aquarius.
Like Mercury, Chiron is of communication, but speaks to a different part of Humanity. The Buddha principle of returning to heal, teach and guide are echoed in Aquarius, Mercury and Chiron. Now that Chiron is in the like-minded sign of Aquarius, he can get through to all Humanity on a conscious level previously unattainable.
Planetoid / Comet Chiron's discovery by Charles Kowal on 1 November 1977 in California, being its ‘birth’ into Human awareness, became an astrological adult on 26 August 2007 when Saturn returns back to Chiron's ‘natal’ position. Just as there are spirits/devas/elementals within physical form, there are spirits of seasons, ideas and energy profiles. What I refer to as the ‘Chiron chart’ is the chart of this energy profile that is Chiron’s influence on Humanity. It can be viewed in much the same way as a person’s chart. Once Saturn completes its 29½-year cycle in a Human, they become ready to spiritually mature, and this event gives Chiron, and its influence on Humanity, a complete embodiment of Chiron's nature.
Essentially, Humanity will now be able to reap the matured fruits of Chiron's blessings that range from healing, introspection, helping others, teaching, solidifying selfless love and bridging the higher consciousness of mankind. Saturn is a teacher of lessons in life and Chiron is a teacher of the spiritual ways of the 'Sacred Warrior'.
Between them there is much to be learned. This will be brought to fruition with the Piscean Full Moon Total lunar Eclipse two days later, bringing focus to the evolution of mankind's spiritual relationship. Chiron’s influence has the Sun in Scorpio, allowing Chiron to deeply penetrate into the state of spirituality – the Human relationship with the innate spirit. Scorpio is also a Water sign and is fertile, nurturing, and transformative. With a Cancer Moon, the nurturing is profoundly entwined with the emotional aspect. With the Sun in parallel declination to
Mars, Moon and Jupiter all parallel make for an optimistic, progressive, assertive and highly enthusiastic nature, and Venus parallel north node creates a harmonious pattern of growth. Sun parallel Mercury places great importance on the mental faculty and the application of consciously directed developmental initiatives that offer others clarity of vision.
At the time when Chiron was discovered it was retrograding through peaceful Taurus and connected Jupiter retrograde conjunct the Cancer Moon through a supportive sextile that trined the Scorpio Sun - Uranus (exalted) conjunction in loose opposition to Chiron, forming a Feminine Earth and Water Wedge. Regenerative Jupiter is exalted, and the Moon is in dignity in nurturing Cancer, the 'womb', and the passively persuasive Wedge had a stable, sensitive and nurturing effect combined with the essence of the Scorpio Sun's ability to penetrate through the polarized outer shell of conscious awareness and receptivity. Chiron was closely square the Leo Mars, which was loosely square the Sun in opposition to Chiron, forming a Fixed T-square on Mars. Chiron also trined Saturn in the critical 29th (Anaretic) degree of tropical Leo, while in less than half a degree conjunction with fixed star Regulus, the 'Heart of the Lion', the 'Law Giver' and 'King of the four Royals' of the zodiac. (The other three royals being Formalhaut, Aldeberan and Antares). Regulus lies on the ecliptic plane, the 'solar ring of power', and Saturn of 'law' and form crystallized Chiron's birth into the conscious minds of Humanity with its pillar firmly rooted in the foundations of Regulus. The Anaretic degree of a sign is the weakest point and is known as the 'destroyer of form'. Chiron has a subtle, yet profound influence on the Human nervous system, working on levels largely beyond the physically bound conscious realms. Both Regulus and Saturn in this package manifested Chiron's influence through an appropriate medium.
In the late 70’s, alternative forms of healing, medicines and typically Eastern forms of spirituality began to find recognition in Western societies that were predominantly physically and materially orientated and listened to what they were told to do by the ‘powers that be’. Chiron’s entrance into the energy fields of the Earth realm stepped up the pace of the ‘revolution’, as it were. In a comparative chart of the Saturn return, Uranus of revolution forms challenging and agitating aspects with Chiron. Natal Chiron is semisquare transiting Uranus in Pisces (0°53’ orb) and natal Uranus is tightly square transiting Chiron in Saturn and Uranus ruled Aquarius (0°02’ orb). Both Uranus placements are in a loose trine formation, providing somewhat of a harmonious blending to favour the independent theme of spiritual evolution. (More ... )
