Lost tale of Merlin and King Arthur legend deciphered from hidden manuscript

The fragment was sewn inside another book.

An intriguing sequel to the tale of Merlin has sat unseen within the bindings of an Elizabethan deeds register for nearly 400 years. Researchers have finally been able to reveal it with cutting-edge techniques.

It is the only surviving fragment of a lost medieval manuscript telling the tale of Merlin and the early heroic years of King Arthur's court.

In it, the magician becomes a blind harpist who later vanishes into thin air. He will then reappear as a balding child who issues edicts to King Arthur wearing no underwear.

The shape-shifting Merlin - whose powers apparently stem from being the son of a woman impregnated by the devil - asks to bear Arthur's standard (a flag bearing his coat of arms) on the battlefield. The king agrees - a good decision it turns out - for Merlin is destined to turn up with a handy secret weapon: a magic, fire-breathing dragon...<<<Read More>>>...

The Way Of Merlin ....

Sometime it's better to be ignorant, and oblivious to the bigger picture. With your head rubbing against the tree bark, you can focus on the world you see in your daily life. You can live that life, taking the unexpected twists and the turns when they come. Perhaps that the way it is meant to be?

But when you know, and have always known a different world to those who are around you; what then? You are further back from the trees than others, and you begin to see the trees for that they are.

And, that reality is a different awareness to the one that is being targeted by 'U.N Agenda 2030'. Your thoughts can drift away from the glamours and the veneers that are on the face of 'human life'; you can see a slice of the bigger picture. But then the pain begins ...

'this is not a spiritual way for those of us who seek to avoid pain at all costs. This is clearly the outset of The Way of Merlin, consisting of disorientation through grief at the suffering of others.' - The Way Of Merlin - R.J.Stewart

It's not easy to feel the pain and  the suffering of others in the world; to feel the pain and the suffering of the land and its creatures. The transformation of the earth to a polluted and ravaged biosphere takes it out on the psyche of the human oversoul - the akashic cloud. As a Merlin, every day is spent feeling and sensing the fear and the suffering that is being transmitted through the etheric from those who are bearing the brunt of the evil that is ravaging this dimension.

The architect of this evil is felt as a flawed aspect of the human psyche; effectively mankind is doing this to itself; because it's been made to refuse its own creative nature and has been encouraged to explore its destructive nature. Effectively mankind has been programmed by a non-human force to bring chaos to planet earth because that is the agenda that this negative architect requires. It's agenda is un-creation and un-existence ....

Ignorance would be bliss; but from an early age is has never been the case. From the moment that conscious awareness kicked in, there has been a comprehension of the world from a different awareness to the conventional; to the norm. And all the way through life, this Merlin, has been a target of the un-creation force ... compelling this Merlin to succumb to the evil tide. A refusal to conform remains. And that refusal has condemned this Merlin to a difficult life.

But, there are others who are just the same ... hidden Merlins who are working to stem the flow of the evil tide. And this is real ... this is not 'fake news' or 'conspiracy' ... there are hidden Merlins who reside out of sight ... who are working to feel the pain and the suffering of everything and somehow absorb and transform that pain and suffering ... in an attempt to heal the land and its biological life. Somehow.

Magick Journal - Realisation

Magick Journal Entry 22nd Oct 2017
Title: Realisation

It's time to discard the out-dated identity and with it a 'title' that truly doesn't define me ... titles are vibrations that limit the energy that flows and which defines the identity of the carrier of that title, thus titles must be carefully chosen for they create your nature.

And my nature was never really what people assumed I was publically. I went along with that title and that energy force, to conform. Otherwise if I was to have used my most efficient title... or no title at all, so I can just be 'I am I" ... there would have been no recognition. For my most efficient title describes an air that is from the ancient past. So few practitioners exist. But needs must for me to become efficient once again.

Thus R.J. Stewart was correct when he stated that 'mediation is not a matter of passive reception as in the popularised and superficial process of mediumship'. That title is misconstrued, overused and abused by so many egos that scurry around the new age circuit. All the wannabes who fail to comprehend what the title really is. They practice it so poorly because that title is a wrongful claim by them, and their air is tarnished and they are not using their energy efficiently. They claim the title so they can get attention and can get recognised ... thus the energy they accumulate via the title is too great for their evolution to process and comprehend.

I choose, thus, to return back to where I was before that title distracted me. I return back to the function of mediation and the ability I have to be an interface between this virtual world and all the other worlds that exist outside the boundaries of this vibration. The title 'mediumship' does not permit that function. For 'mediumship' has nothing to do with linking to the higher modes of awareness. The title limits you to the ex-human realms. It does not permit an interface with the non-human or the trans-human. For so long the non-human have permitted me to converse with them; to be aware of the them; and to be able to see them.

Thus I accept the realisation that the previous wheel must turn again so I can thus assume the role of being 'a channel for a specific power to flow out into this virtual world'. I thus accept that burden and permit myself to be that air as efficiently as the specific power dictates. Thankfully, I've known my entire life just who that specific power is ... and it requires me to realise just what it makes me this time, this place, this face ... I am but one of the many 'Merlins' this time. I have always been, and shall assume that 'air' again ... Matthew James

Descendant of the True and HIdden Symbology

Scanned in 2002 before they got worn out!!
My choice of divination cards back in the late 1980's was a simple one - Aquarian Rune Cards and Merlin Tarot (Images left) ...

I have always responded to the TRUE and HIDDEN bloodline symbology of Merlin and Odin. Not the fables, not the mythology, but the hidden true meaning of these characters ...

I know now why I have always worked so well with these sets of images; why the symbology comes alive at my touch. Why I so readily adopted my own style of understanding other people with these images ...

It's because my own DNA resonates with those original stories. The resonance exists because I am a direct descendant of the truth behind these apparent myths. I understand the connections inherently without any teacher telling me .... I knew from the first time I saw both sets of divination cards circa 1985-87 that they would become my most valuable and trusted images to help me shamanically become the person I was 'reading' and therefore understand first hand their path, their past, their present and their possible futures.

The Secrets Of Thoth & The Keys Of Enoch

Known to the Egyptians as THOTH, the "Lord of Magic and Time" and to the Greeks as HERMES, "messenger of the gods", he is even remembered in the Celtic tradition as the enigmatic wizard Merlin, who disappears up an apple tree to mythic Avalon, seeking the secret of immortality and vowing to return. As one who attained immortality, the secret of how we "might become as gods", Thoth/Enoch promises to return at the end of time "with the keys to the gates of the sacred land."...read more>>>...

Merlin?

He sits beneath the cover of a tall tree
His eyes are open, staring
He sees an inner world; his disguise is nothing to catch the eye
He smiles when I see him
and I realise it is him I see
I hold his gaze, and see all those magical lives
all those desperate moments, all the fear and worry and grief
and I understand, I recognise
I feel it shifting within me like a tide ....
A magical cycle lifts me higher and higher into the gazing eye
I am spun round and round inside my thoughts
I feel recognition and know,
then know nothing and something simultaneously .....

'The Gazing Eye'

"He sits beneath the cover of a tall tree
His eyes are open, staring
He sees an inner world; his disguise is nothing to catch the eye
He smiles when I see him
and I realise it is him I see
I hold his gaze, and see all those magical lives
all those desperate moments, all the fear and worry and grief
and I understand, I recognise
I feel it shifting within me like a tide ....
A magical cycle lifts me higher and higher into the gazing eye
I am spun round and round inside my thoughts
I feel recognition and know,
then know nothing and something simultaneously .....
Then I close my eyes as I am compelled
the earth fades and I enter that inner world ... again
Like I have in the past, in this life and in all my many other lives ...."

'Codename Merlin'

Enter he ..... purveyor of the wild magic
Magic, crazy, insane ...
The loner in the wild wood
Mage of a forgotten power
Unknown in the modern world
Obscure and hidden ...
Free from the bindings of the evil eye .... to peddle his trade.

Codename merlin
Wild card in the technological age
powerful and powerless
an enigma and a crisis.

Codename merlin
elusively insane
wild, crazy seer
an all seeing eye .... in one who slipped the net.

But the evil eye is upon him
gazing from afar
aware of his light, his accuracy
his words like acid to the plans afoot
he is aware; he sees; he knows the dark one fears
and sends forth the madness to silence the young fool

the loner .... golden child within a pauper’s shell
codename merlin .... the loner awake, aware ...
the paradox, the signal breaker
he who gazes beyond the illusion into the fabled illusion
speaking truth which is decreed lies
the threatened condemn him ....

His madness is sanity
his light is fabled the darkness
fearlessly thus he peddles his purity
casting out the darkness; changing the ways of thought
opening the way for others to venture through
and gain the summit in the way which is cast as insane

he smiles to himself when he reads and sees the lies of the darkness
the ways it gains its power over the children of the light
nothing is ever new under the sun
same old situation .... a circle boundless and repeating
codename merlin .... many names point to the one same being
he is the paradox .... he is visible yet invisible ..... and it is how it will always be.

Enter he ..... purveyor of the wild magic
His madness is sanity
the loner .... golden child within a pauper’s shell
his words like acid to the plans afoot
his light is fabled the darkness
Reflections of the illusion .... thus he is an ambassador of the truth!

The Youth of the Three Disguises

The Youth Of The Three Disguises is The Fool in the tarot, and later he grows to become The Hanged Man. As The Fool he is neither male nor female, for he/she is the bipolar/bisexual potential in each of us. This represents the human being in the earth and Lunar world. The Fool is also the Divine Child, Mabon, at the centre of the spiral of Worlds, and beings. (R.J. Stewart)

A Word on 'The Threefold Death'

The threefold death, which is suffered by kings, heroes, and gods, is a putatively Proto-Indo-European theme – although it occurs most commonly in Celtic and Germanic mythology. There are two distinct types of threefold deaths in Indo-European myth and ritual. In the first type of threefold death, one person dies simultaneously in three ways. He dies by hanging (or strangulation or falling from a tree), by drowning (or poison), and by wounding. These three deaths are foretold, and are often punishment for an offense against the three functions of Indo-European society. In Welsh legend, Myrddin Wyllt (one of the sources for Merlin of Arthurian legend) is associated with threefold death. As a test of his skill, Merlin is asked to prophesy how a boy will die. He says the boy will fall from a rock. The same boy, with a change of clothes, is presented again, and Merlin prophesies that he will hang. Then, dressed in a girl's clothes, the boy is presented, and Merlin replies, "Woman or no, he will drown." As a young man, the victim, in a hunt, falls from a rock, is caught in a tree, and hanging head down in a lake, drowns. Myrddin Wyllt also reportedly prophesied his own death, which would happen by falling, stabbing, and drowning. This was fulfilled when a gang of jeering shepherds drove him off a cliff, where he was impaled on a stake left by fishermen, and died with his head below water. The Norse god Odin is also associated with the threefold death. Human sacrifices to Odin were hanged from trees. Odin is said to have hanged himself in order to learn the secrets of magic. The tarot card known as The Hanged Man is sometimes identified with Odin and with the threefold death.(Wikipedia)

Merlin!

Merlin is one of the most revered spiritual figures in written history. There are three different versions of Merlin's birth. The first story of Merlin's birth was told by Geoffrey of Monmouth …

The first written record of Merlin's birth comes from Geoffrey of Monmouth, a cleric who taught at Oxford schools between 1129 and 1151 CE, and became the Bishop of St. Asaph in 1151. Geoffrey presents Merlin as the son of an intensely Christian princess--perhaps the daughter of King Demetius or King Conaan--who was seduced by a demon or devil, or became pregnant without her knowledge. Thus, Merlin had super-human powers, but was raised to be a strong Christian by his mother, who later entered a convent.

This imagery fits nicely into the Christian concepts of Light v. Dark, with references to the Virgin Birth as well.

This Merlin was called Merlin Ambrosius in Geoffrey's earliest writings, when he mixed a fifth-century Merlin-like figure with his more famous sixth-century Arthurian counterpart.

Geoffrey was the first to call him "Merlin," in Latin, Merlinus. The original name was Myrddin, which would have Latinized to Merdinus. Geoffrey knew that his Norman readers would link the name to the French word, merde, a word which scholars euphemistically translate as dung. To avoid this embarrassment, Geoffrey decided to alter one letter, so today we call King Arthur's mentor "Merlin."

Myrddin The Magician

Source: Early British Kingdoms.com

Merlin was the illegitimate son of a monastic Royal Princess of Dyfed. The lady's father, however, King Meurig ap Maredydd ap Rhain, is not found in the traditional pedigrees of this kingdom and was probably a sub-King of the region bordering on Ceredigion.

Merlin's father, it is said, was an angel who had visited the Royal nun and left her with child. Merlin's enemies claimed his father was really an incubus. The evil child was supposed to provide a counterweight to the good influence of Jesus Christ on earth. Merlin, fortunately, was baptized early on in his life, an event which is said to have negated the evil in his nature, but left his powers intact. The original story may have been invented to save his mother from the scandal which would have occurred had her liaison with one Morfyn Frych (the Freckled), a minor Prince of the House of Coel, been made public knowledge. Although, chronologically speaking, this man fits better as the father of the Northern Merlin.

Legend then tells us that after the Roman withdrawal from Britain and the usurpation of the throne from the rightful heirs,
Vortigern was in flight from the Saxon breakout and went to Snowdonia, in Wales, in hopes of constructing a mountain fortress at Dinas Emrys where he might be safe. Unfortunately, the building kept collapsing and Vortigern's house wizards told him that a human sacrifice of a fatherless child would solve the problem. One small difficulty was that such children are rather hard to find. Fortunately for Vortigern's fortress, Merlin was known to have no human father and happened to be available.

Before the sacrifice could take place, Merlin used his great visionary powers and attributed the structural problem to a subterranean pool in which lived a red and a white dragon. The meaning of this, according to Merlin, was that the red dragon represented the Britons, and the white dragon, the Saxons. The dragons fought, with the white dragon having the best of it, at first, but then the red dragon drove the white one back. The meaning was clear. Merlin prophesied that Vortigern would be slain and followed on the throne by
Ambrosius Aurelianus, then Uther, then a greater leader, Arthur. It would fall to him to push the Saxons back.

True to the prophecy, Vortigern was slain and Ambrosius took the throne. Later, Merlin appears to have inherited his grandfather's little kingdom, but abandoned his lands in favour of the more mysterious life for which he has become so well known. After 460 British nobles were massacred at a peace conference, as a result of Saxon trickery, Ambrosius consulted Merlin about erecting a suitable memorial to them. Merlin, along with Uther, led an expedition to Ireland to procure the stones of the Chorea Gigantum, the Giant's Ring. Merlin, by the use of his extraordinary powers, brought the stones back to a site, just west of Amesbury, and re-erected them around the mass grave of the British nobles. We now call this place Stonehenge.
