Masculinity Isn’t Toxic, But Demonising it is, With Men Accounting For Three Suicides in Four

The Office for National Statistics put the male suicide rate at 17.6 per 100,000 in 2024, with men accounting for roughly three suicides in four. Suicide remains the leading cause of death for any British man under 50. Those are the stark figures. We hear all about knife crime, gang culture, drug-related deaths and murder, and yet the most alarming statistic is the suicide rate among men under 50.

Why are so many men killing themselves? And what on earth would we be doing about it if it were women dying at three or four times the male rate?

Writing this, I notice I’m numb. Why am I not outraged, demanding answers, looking into what can be done to bring the number down? Is it because I view suicide as a kind of failure, and failure makes me uncomfortable? Or is it because I’ve been conditioned to believe that men should be strong, that they should provide and protect, and that if they check out they have failed to live up to my idea of how men ought to be? I don’t think 50 years of being told men are patriarchal oppressors, and that our gender is ‘toxic’, is helping either.

Men carry the burden of performance. We are heavily invested in raising families, protecting those families and providing for them, even in these times of so-called gender equality. Most notably, it is men in their late forties who are most likely to take their own lives, according to the ONS. This is the age group most associated with divorce, relationship breakdown and job loss. Men are particularly vulnerable when there are court battles or conflicts over access to their children. The result is depression, self-hatred, a sense of failure and despair.

Younger men are not far behind. The pattern is consistent across age groups: boys and men killing themselves at three to four times the rate of women. It is not hard to conclude from these numbers that society cares rather less about the wellbeing of men and boys than it lets on. When it comes to the methods, women tend toward pills and slipping away. Men, more often, choose methods that leave no chance of being talked back from the edge....<<<Read More>>>...

Global mental disorders have nearly doubled since 1990, now affecting 1.2 billion people worldwide

Global mental disorders have nearly doubled since 1990, now affecting 1.2 billion people worldwide Mental disorders are now the leading cause of years lived with disability globally, accounting for more than 17% of all disability worldwide.

The highest mental disorder burden is observed among individuals aged 15-19 and women of all ages, driven largely by anxiety and depressive disorders.
Mental disorder burden varies widely across countries, with some of the highest levels observed in high-income regions such as Australasia and Western Europe.

In 2023, mental disorders accounted for 171 million disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) globally, placing these conditions as the fifth-leading cause of total disease burden. DALYs are a measure of overall health loss, combining years lived with disability and years of life lost due to premature death. Mental disorders accounted for more than 17% of all years lived with disability worldwide. This reflects the substantial and growing impact of mental disorders across populations....<<<Read More>>>...

Lithium: The overlooked mineral that could revolutionize brain health

Conventional Alzheimer's drugs target symptoms (amyloid plaques) but fail clinically, while lithium—a cheap, natural mineral—shows neuroprotective effects in studies.

Decades of research link lithium deficiency to Alzheimer's, yet it's ignored in favor of expensive, ineffective drugs like Aduhelm.

The medical-industrial complex suppresses lithium because it's unpatentable and threatens Big Pharma's lucrative, failing treatments.

Low-dose lithium orotate enhances cognition, prevents neurodegeneration and stabilizes mood—without the toxicity of high-dose prescriptions.

True brain health requires rejecting pharma-controlled medicine, detoxing from toxins and embracing natural, repurposed therapies like lithium.

For decades, lithium has been pigeonholed as merely a psychiatric drug—prescribed in high doses by mainstream medicine to manage bipolar disorder while ignoring its far broader potential. But emerging research suggests this humble mineral may hold the key to preventing neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, offering a natural, low-cost solution that threatens the pharmaceutical industry's profit-driven stranglehold on brain health.

Dr. David Fajgenbaum, a physician-scientist and survivor of a rare immune disease, has become a leading advocate for drug repurposing—the practice of uncovering new uses for existing, often overlooked treatments. His work exposes a critical flaw in modern medicine: the system is rigged to prioritize expensive, patented drugs while ignoring safe, effective and affordable alternatives like lithium....<<<Read More>>>...

The childhood crisis: How modern life is wiring kids for anxiety

A confluence of modern lifestyle factors—chronic overscheduling, sleep deprivation, excessive screen time, poor nutrition and loss of unstructured play—is driving an unprecedented crisis in child and adolescent mental health.

Rates of anxiety and depression among youth have surged over the past decade, with diagnoses more than doubling in some age groups.

These conditions are not merely "brain problems" but whole-body issues rooted in a developmentally hostile environment that keeps young nervous systems in a state of chronic stress.

Foundational lifestyle interventions, including protecting sleep, reducing screen stimulation, improving nutrition and restoring play, can effectively recalibrate the nervous system and improve symptoms.

Experts emphasize that healing requires realigning children's daily lives with their biological needs for downtime, connection and physical activity.

In pediatric offices across the nation, a silent epidemic has become a daily reality. Where a decade ago it was unusual, doctors now routinely diagnose children and teens with clinical anxiety and depression at alarming rates. This shift isn't a mystery but the predictable result of a childhood environment that has become fundamentally misaligned with healthy development. Driven by chronic overscheduling, sleep deprivation, digital overload and nutrient-poor diets, the nervous systems of young people are being pushed into a perpetual state of high alert, with devastating consequences for their mental health....<<<Read More>>>...

A foggy future: Cognitive problems spike in young adults, defying age expectations

A new study finds self-reported cognitive disability in U.S. adults under 40 nearly doubled from 2013 to 2023.

Chronic conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes are key drivers, damaging brain blood vessels and increasing inflammation.

Socioeconomic factors are significant, with lower income and education levels correlating with higher rates of cognitive difficulty.

The trend suggests modern lifestyle stressors, including poor diet and constant digital stimulation, are harming young brains.

Experts emphasize that proactive lifestyle changes targeting metabolism and stress can protect and restore cognitive function.

In a dramatic shift that is alarming neurologists and public health experts, cognitive difficulties like memory loss, poor focus and brain fog are rising at an unprecedented rate among young Americans. A landmark study published in Neurology reveals that self-reported cognitive disability among adults aged 18 to 39 nearly doubled between 2013 and 2023, even as rates for older adults held steady or slightly declined. This reversal of the traditional pattern points to a growing crisis fueled not by aging, but by modern lifestyle factors—including poor metabolic health, chronic stress and socioeconomic disadvantage—that are silently eroding the brain health of a generation in its prime....<<<Read More>>>...

How your natural sleep preference influences your mental health

An individual's natural sleep preference (chronotype) is linked to mental well-being, with evening types being more susceptible to depressive symptoms due to a misalignment with a society structured for early risers.

Staying up late itself isn't the direct cause of poor mental health. Instead, the risk is driven by associated habits common among night owls, including poorer sleep quality, higher alcohol consumption and a tendency for repetitive negative thinking (rumination).

A significant factor is "acting with awareness"—the ability to stay present. Morning people tend to be more naturally mindful, while night owls' deficit in this area makes them more vulnerable to late-night negative thought spirals that can lead to depression.

The root of the problem is the disconnect between our internal biological clocks, which evolved to follow the sun and the artificial demands of modern society, including rigid work schedules and artificial light.

Night owls can protect their mental well-being without forcing a fundamental chronotype change. Key strategies include maintaining consistent sleep schedules, reducing late-night alcohol, swapping passive scrolling for active relaxation and cultivating daily mindfulness to manage negative thoughts.

For the millions who find their peak productivity and peace in the quiet hours of the night, new scientific evidence suggests this natural inclination may come with a hidden emotional cost. Emerging research indicates that an individual's chronotype—the innate predisposition to be a morning person or a night owl—is significantly linked to mental well-being, with evening types facing a higher risk of depressive symptoms.

This connection is not merely about sleep duration but is deeply intertwined with lifestyle habits, mindfulness and the fundamental misalignment between a person's internal biological clock and the demands of a society structured for early risers....<<<Read More>>>...

These six common artificial sweeteners are now linked to cognitive decline

For decades, artificial sweeteners have been marketed as a guilt-free alternative to sugar—helping people manage weight, control blood sugar, and avoid cavities without sacrificing sweetness. But mounting research suggests these chemical substitutes may come with a hidden cost: accelerated brain aging and cognitive decline. A new study published in Neurology has linked six widely used artificial sweeteners—aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame potassium, erythritol, xylitol, and sorbitol—to troubling declines in memory, language, and thinking skills.

The findings add to a growing body of evidence that these sugar substitutes, found in everything from diet sodas to sugar-free candies, may be silently harming brain health. While scientists are still unraveling the exact mechanisms, previous research suggests these sweeteners contribute to inflammation, blood clotting, and even toxic breakdown products that damage delicate neural pathways. The implications are alarming—especially since many people consume these substances daily, often without realizing it.

Six artificial sweeteners—aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame potassium, erythritol, xylitol, and sorbitol—are linked to faster brain aging and cognitive decline.
Even small daily amounts (equivalent to one can of Diet Coke) accelerated brain aging by 1.6 years.

The effect was strongest in middle-aged adults under 60, suggesting early dietary habits may set the stage for later cognitive problems.

Erythritol has also been tied to blood vessel damage in the brain, increasing stroke risk.

Only tagatose, a natural sweetener found in some fruits and dairy, showed no negative effects....<<<Read More>>>...

The Subtle Act of Gaslighting

It can feel so subtle at first. A passing comment that makes you doubt yourself. A quiet dismissal of your feelings. A disagreement where you walk away wondering if you really did remember incorrectly. That’s the tricky thing about gaslighting — it often starts small, almost invisible, until one day you realize you’re questioning your own reality. For many, gaslighting is a hallmark of a narcissistic relationship, a way of keeping you off balance and unsure of yourself.

If you’ve experienced this, know that it’s not your fault — and you’re not imagining things. Gaslighting is designed to confuse you, but the fact that you’re noticing it now is a sign of your strength. When you can name these patterns for what they are, you can begin to reclaim your confidence, rebuild your sense of self, and take meaningful steps toward healthier relationships.

Healing from the effects of gaslighting and narcissistic behavior is possible — and it’s a deeply empowering journey. You deserve to feel grounded in your own truth again, to set boundaries that honor you, and to trust your inner knowing. There’s a brighter, more peaceful chapter ahead of you, and every small step you take brings you closer to the love and respect you’ve always deserved....<<<Read More>>>...

Net Zero Alarmism is a Mental Illness

Jordan Peterson has declared that, in his professional opinion, climate doomsayers “are possessed by an ideology much more akin to a psychogenic epidemic than they are purveyors of any information remotely scientific”. Writing in the Telegraph, the renowned psychologist suggests climate alarmism is something more like an ideological or religious movement than a scientific one. Here’s an excerpt.

In 2023, I was sentenced in Canada by the Ontario College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts to an unspecified period of professional ‘re-education’ for what has been deemed my unprofessional conduct. If I refused to comply, then the college indicated its duty to revoke my professional licence as a clinical psychologist.

I said that I would comply, although insisting – despite the college’s entreaty – that I would make every detail of that re-education painfully public.

Part of my unprofessionalism was apparently illustrated in the submission of the entire transcript by a random complainant to said college of a conversation I had with Joe Rogan on his podcast, accompanied by the allegation that I had stepped out of my lane as a psychologist.

How? By daring to share my opinion that the economic models purporting to indicate catastrophic future danger caused by the apparently impending climate change apocalypse were false and unreliable and by implying something that requires the further analysis this column offers: that there are non-scientific, indeed psychological, reasons that such models were and are generated and promoted in the first place.

The complainant had never received any professional services from me, let it be noted. Furthermore, the ‘re-education’ has never been scheduled, despite my agreement to submit to the process, and their publicly stated decision to proceed, because the college appears unable to find anyone at all anywhere willing to act as said re-educator.

Why am I telling you this? First, because the anecdote provides evidence for the genuine social and psychological danger in speaking out against the pretensions of the mad green mob; and second, because the claims that climate change terror is scientifically justified have to be enforced by entrenched propagandistic bureaucratic inquisitors rather than proved scientifically and assessed through genuine discussion in the public arena.

And with that, on to the real show....<<<Read More>>>...

Unearthing Hidden Trauma

In the quietude of reflection, we encounter our deepest emotional triggers. These subtle yet profound signals, when understood and embraced, lead us to the core of our being and facilitate the healing of traumas long held within the sacred vessel of our body. Learning to identify these triggers is akin to unearthing the hidden roots of our personal struggles. As we venture inward, acknowledging these emotions without judgment, we begin to unravel the knots they have tied, allowing the body to release its burdens and heal.

By embracing our vulnerabilities, we shift the narrative from one of pain to one of empowerment. We engage in an act of courage and step beyond our fears and reconnect with our authentic selves. Through practices such as meditation, journaling, or therapy, we create a safe harbor to navigate and recognize our feelings. In doing so, we rewrite our stories, letting the light of awareness illuminate paths that previously seemed shrouded in darkness.

Understanding our emotional triggers not only heal past wounds; it also fortifies us against future ones. Through compassionate exploration, we disentangle and release these memories. As we do so, the body unfurls, finding equilibrium, and the spirit, once weighed down, soars free. This transformative process enriches our lives, inspiring us to step forward confidently as whole beings capable of immense love and resilience. (Daily OM)

How sunlight and vitamin D can help with mental illness

Vitamin D receptors exist throughout your brain, affecting mental health by regulating neurotransmitters and reducing inflammation. Deficiency is linked to depression, anxiety and psychosis.

Mental health patients show higher rates of vitamin D deficiency, caused by reduced Sun exposure, obesity and other factors.

Studies show vitamin D supplementation improves depression symptoms, particularly in elderly and adolescent patients. Optimal blood levels range from 60 to 80 ng/ml.

Safe Sun exposure remains the best source of vitamin D, but those consuming seed oils should wait four to six months after elimination before increasing Sun exposure; if regular Sun exposure isn’t feasible, vitamin D supplementation may be necessary.

Protective strategies for safe Sun exposure include taking astaxanthin (12 mg daily), using niacinamide cream, pre-exposure baby aspirin and molecular hydrogen supplementation.

Vitamin D receptors are not just limited to your skeletal system for bone health – they’re also present in various brain regions like your hippocampus, substantia nigra and cerebellum.

This hints at vitamin D’s key role in neurological development and the functioning of your nervous system. When your body lacks sufficient vitamin D, it disrupts neurotransmitter release, affects neurotrophic factors and impairs neuroprotection.1

These disruptions are linked to mood and behavioural changes, contributing to psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety and even psychosis. Moreover, vitamin D helps modulate inflammation, which is often elevated in mental health disorders. This is why optimising your vitamin D levels is important for both physical health and maintaining your mental well-being....<<<Read More>>>...

Low Self-Esteem & the Illusion of Perfection

 The simple truth is this:

If you aspire to accomplish your dreams, to have the freedom to be yourself, to spiritually evolve, to walk your own path …

… you will never be able to live a fulfilling life unless you rid yourself of low self-esteem and acquire the courage of self-confidence.

On my journey of self-discovery, self-awareness, and self-love, these are some of the secrets that I’ve learned:

We are born with an innate sense of wanting to belong.

As we grow up society helps us form the notion of perfection, or what is “good enough”.

Basically, we need to create an idea to live up to, so that we can feel accepted by everybody.

Our parents tell us what they expect from us, so do our siblings, our teachers and our religions.

Society uses the media to constantly expose us to perfection, from advertisements informing us how outdated our belongings are compared to their new products, to beautiful models selling creams, diets or protein bars.

Comparison is one of the biggest obstacles in finding self-esteem. We use it to find another standard of “perfection” for acceptance.

Through social media sites like Facebook, we constantly use our friends, family and colleagues to measured up to their financial success, or how happy our lives are compared to theirs, or at least what they choose to share.

But the truth is, we only see the surface of other people’s lives, and we know all the imperfection of ours, yet we use this false surface perception as a guideline of how “well” we are doing.

By trying to be good enough and by trying to be accepted, we create an unreal image of perfection that we don’t manage to live up to.

Realizing our imperfection, we reject ourselves....<<<Read More>>>...

Mental health therapy has become fluff and wokeness: How it happened

Leftist ideology is perverting the mental health fields

The way we train therapists is not only useless, but it can also exacerbate mental illness. I learned the true purpose of my graduate program in clinical mental health counseling early on. During my first semester, my professor for my Counseling the Culturally Diverse class said that our primary objective as therapists is to become political activists so that we can "burn it all to the ground."

That objective might seem bizarre to outsiders, but in my program, questioning it would look morally and intellectually suspect. The theory goes that all mental anguish is caused by oppression, and if we can dismantle the systems of oppression then we can relieve the distress... except that isn't the real goal. In my program and in academia more broadly, social justice is the objective, not simply a means to an end.

My professors frequently say that gender affirming care is the only appropriate way to treat gender confused minors. Never mind that most of them will probably grow out of these feelings. Never mind the damning evidence in the WPATH files or the Cass Report. Gender affirming care is the goal because it represents social justice. The broken bodies of detransitioners are considered a small price to pay for such a noble vision.

Both students and professors know that this is the "right" answer, but few even know what the question is. One of my professors went on a tirade about how terrible Texas is because the state limited gender affirming care. One woman in the class asked, "But what if a child changes their mind about transitioning later?" My professor responded, "Huh, I guess I've never thought about that." This represents a theory of mind issue: those caught in the social justice worldview have a complete inability to imagine any perspective that is not their own....<<<Read More>>>...

Magnesium: The Surprising Solution for Rapid Depression Relief

Depression is a complex mental health disorder impacting millions worldwide. While conventional treatments like antidepressants are often prescribed, these drugs may take weeks to work. They can have significant side effects, including an increased risk of suicide, especially among younger people. However, research on magnesium suggests that this essential mineral may offer a rapid, effective, and safe alternative for those battling depression. This article explores the role of magnesium in brain health, its potential in treating major depression, and actionable tips to incorporate more magnesium into your daily routine.

Magnesium is a vital mineral involved in over 325 enzymatic reactions in the body, many of which are essential for healthy brain function. Magnesium ions help regulate calcium ion flow in neuronal channels, which, in turn, helps control nitric oxide production, crucial for proper brain signaling. However, with 70% of people in Western countries consuming less than the recommended daily intake of magnesium, deficiency is widespread. As a result, millions of people may be unknowingly at risk of various mental health issues, including depression.

The link between magnesium deficiency and depression is well-established. Researchers Wacker and Parisi found that “magnesium deficiency could cause numerous neuromuscular symptoms including hyperexcitability, depression, behavior disturbances, and psychotic behavior, each of which were reversible by magnesium repletion.” This evidence suggests that magnesium supplementation could be a simple and accessible way to alleviate symptoms for those suffering from depression....<<<Read More>>>...

Like venomous reptiles, they warn us

Some of the most amazingly colored reptiles and snakes have the most intriguing shapes and complex patterns on their skin that truly sets them apart from other reptiles. But such eye-popping colors and bright patterns serve a purpose - namely, to keep predators away from them. They are warnings to not attack or eat them. Failure to do so will result in a quick and painful death, and many animals know this instinctively and thus avoid them.

There is a parallel to this in the human-social realm. It can be seen in the modern western woman, primarily among young and middle-aged American women. This is the kind of woman (of which there are plenty!) who is excessively tatted and pierced, who covers her arms, shoulders, chest area, neck, and hands with a seemingly endless number of tattoos. Many of them will even tattoo their face and foreheads. Few of them are embarrassed by it all.

But that's only the beginning of their self-disfigurement. They will color their hair in the brightest and most god-awful neon colors. Piercings through the nose, lips, and out of almost every orifice are displayed for all to admire or become repelled by.

These kinds of women are not only proverbial "attention whores," but there is something deeply obscene and disturbing about them. Whether it stems from self-hate or 'daddy issues' as some have claimed, it's a clear sign that something is psychologically wrong and problematic about them. Like brightly colored venomous reptiles, something is not right about these women and the visual mess they present should likewise serve as a warning to us - especially to young males who might be romantically or sexually attracted to them....<<<Read More>>>...

This Mental Health Ad Got Over 50 Million Views When Launched

Some stats suggest that by age 40, 50% of the population in Canada will have had a mental health illness. These numbers are rather similar in other developed countries. I would also venture to say the truth is probably much higher given many will never seek help or get a diagnosis.

These days in the US, about one-third, or 30% of female teens have seriously considered suicide. Perhaps it’s because 57% of US girls report feeling many consecutive days of consistent sadness. For boys, there has been a sharp rise in suicides among teens 15 and older since 2000. They now die by suicide at three to four times the rate of girls. Epidemics of loneliness and meaninglessness are felt in countries around the world.

Part of the ongoing meaning/meta crisis we are facing is the decline of mental health. The good news is we are also seeing a rise in awareness about the issue. That said, there is certainly something going on with the way we are living that is not producing thriving human beings, and we have to talk about it. I think many people sense this.

I want to kick this off with a powerful mental health ad that was viewed over 50 million times in a week between TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and others when it was released.

UK soccer club Norwich City FC produced the ad to raise awareness about mental health. I had not seen the ad until just yesterday. But it was so powerful I wanted to share it.

Check out the ad before we continue...<<<Read More>>>...

Johnson Doesn’t Give A Shit About Saudi Human Rights Abuses

[Richie Allen]: Boris Johnson doesn’t give a flying fuck that 81 men were beheaded in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia last weekend. The UK Prime Minister is a sociopath, who once burned a £50 note in front of homeless person. What manner of man does that?

Johnson vehemently denies this, but it has been confirmed by former members of Oxford University’s notorious Bullingdon Club. Humiliating and degrading the homeless was one of the entry requirements.

He attended Bullingdon Club dinners where prostitutes were hired and forced to perform sickening, demeaning sex acts, while being mocked and even spat on by society members.

In 2016, former member Ralph Perry-Robinson told The Daily Beast:

“We always hire whores…prostitutes were paid extra by members who wanted to use them.”

Johnson is en route to Riyadh today, to meet his chum Mohammad bin Salman, a despot and a murderer, to shore up the UK’s energy supply. “We need to wean ourselves off Russian gas,” Johnson told the reporters travelling with him.

When asked about the Saudi’s horrific human rights abuses, Johnson lied, saying that he has raised these issues with the regime in the past and that he will continue to do so. Like fuck he has.

Johnson doesn’t give a damn what happens in Saudi Arabia. After all, his government okayed the sale of nearly £2 billion of arms to the kingdom, knowing full well that they would be used to flatten Yemen and slaughter tens of thousands of innocents.

He is a sociopath, maybe a psychopath. He is most certainly a criminal, an accessory before and after the fact. He belongs in jail, or a padded cell.

Speaking to The Guardian in 2019, a woman who recruited members for the Bullingdon Club, said the thought of Johnson ever becoming Prime Minister, filled her with dread:

“The characteristics he displayed at Oxford – entitlement, aggression, amorality, lack of concern for others – are still there, dressed up in a contrived, jovial image. It’s a mask to sanitise some ugly features.”

New AI Detects Mental Disorders Based On Web Posts

[David Icke]: Dartmouth researchers have built an artificial intelligence model for detecting mental disorders using conversations on Reddit, part of an emerging wave of screening tools that use computers to analyze social media posts and gain an insight into people’s mental states.

What sets the new model apart is a focus on the emotions rather than the specific content of the social media texts being analyzed. In a paper presented at the 20th International Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology, the researchers show that this approach performs better over time, irrespective of the topics discussed in the posts.

There are many reasons why people don’t seek help for mental health disorders—stigma, high costs, and lack of access to services are some common barriers. There is also a tendency to minimize signs of mental disorders or conflate them with stress, says Xiaobo Guo, Guarini ’24, a co-author of the paper. It’s possible that they will seek help with some prompting, he says, and that’s where digital screening tools can make a difference.

“Social media offers an easy way to tap into people’s behaviors,” says Guo. The data is voluntary and public, published for others to read, he says.

Reddit, which offers a massive network of user forums, was their platform of choice because it has nearly half a billion active users who discuss a wide range of topics. The posts and comments are publicly available, and the researchers could collect data dating back to 2011.

In their study, the researchers focused on what they call emotional disorders—major depressive, anxiety, and bipolar disorders—which are characterized by distinct emotional patterns. They looked at data from users who had self-reported as having one of these disorders and from users without any known mental disorders.

The Many Origins of Depression

[Wake Up World]: Life and Creation themselves depend on a healthy and polarised, or magnetically attracted, interplay between divine masculine and divine feminine energies. This principle operates at vast, cosmic levels, and plays all the way down the levels of reality down into our every day lives and relationships.

he eternal attraction and dance between masculine and feminine depends on their contrast, which like the sides of a magnet, allows for deep and lasting attraction and energy and energy exchange, which ultimately is creative in nature.

Our most immediate cosmic embodiment of the divine masculine and feminine is the Sun and the Earth and how together these great beings come together to create life and the playground for humanity’s evolution. Our cosmic parents are wonderful example of the receptive feminine taking in the divine light and heat of the masculine and transforming this in myriad ways into the life we know on this planet. If we wish to build a new reality, and new life, and a new Earth experience, we can learn from this example.

How can women move into a healthy feminine polarity and attract a healthy masculine energy into their lives?

One of the great challenges that women face today is that many of us have been taught or conditioned to be in our masculine, rather than feminine energy.

The first wave of western feminism, which brought us incredible and much needed levels of educational, social, economic and political emancipation, also had its shadow side. It brought us into a new level of power by bringing us further into our masculine energy, or our “Yang side”.

Being in our “Yang (masculine) side” has us in the energy of doing, striving, controlling fighting, defending our space and our being. It allows us to achieve great things but often in ways that ultimately exhaust us as we are not operating from our natural feminine energy....<<<Read More>>>...

Sorrow: The Problem and The Solution

[SOTT]: “Why were you ever prescribed Zoloft?” I asked the 32 year old mother of 2 who had been taking the med for 10 years, unable to successfully taper off on her own. “That’s when my mom died and my internist…whom I love…said, ‘Do yourself a favor and take this.’”

Pain. Suffering. Struggle. Why deal with it when there’s a way out?

Even if you have just suffered a trauma or the death of an intimate, you can be diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, the gold standard treatment of which is an SSRI antidepressant.

There is an ever-narrowing bandwidth of behavior that supports the dominant narrative in our culture today. We all need to act a certain way to protect the foundational beliefs of our time – that “science” has it all figured out, that rules keep us safe, and that it’s us vs. them (insert germs, terrorists, pests, and other “enemies”). The guild of psychiatry has been appointed to delineate the boundaries of normal, dangerously, from a presumptive perspective that its diagnostic standards derive from an objective science rather than a multitude of sociopolitical factors influencing the perceptions of a handful of old white men around a table.

But what are the consequences of this? What is this sadness and where does it go if we bandage our consciousness with business, medication, substances, or general avoidance of our real human experience?...<<<Read More>>>...
