EU Prepares to Ban Social Media for Children

France is set to be the first EU country to follow Australia, which has a minimum age of 16, in outlawing the technology for children in September. It plans to stop children under 15 using the services.

Brussels could now propose legislation for an EU-wide ban sooner than that, after a panel of experts finishes deliberating online child safety, von der Leyen said.

“I believe we must consider a social media delay,” the European Commission President said at a conference in Copenhagen.

“Depending on the results, we could come up with a legal proposal this summer,” she said on Tuesday.

She praised Australia for its ban and added: “We are witnessing the lightning speed at which technology is advancing – and how it penetrates every corner of childhood and adolescence.

“Childhood and early adolescence are formative years, and I believe we should give our children more time to become resilient in this vulnerable phase.”

An EU-wide ban would risk angering Donald Trump, who already views EU regulation of US tech giants as disproportionate, protectionist and an attack on free speech.

The President has threatened to hit the EU with tariffs while Washington is lobbying Brussels and London to water down its tech regulation.

Spain, Germany, Ireland, Denmark and Greece are considering their own versions of a ban pioneered by Australia last December....<<<Read More>>>...

Thought police arrive in Pennsylvania: Court greenlights warrantless search of your Google history

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled police do not need a warrant to access an individual's Google search history.

The court argued users have no "reasonable expectation of privacy" because tech companies routinely collect and sell data.

The decision stemmed from a rape investigation where police used a "reverse keyword warrant" to identify a suspect.

Legal experts warn the ruling treats private thoughts as public data and sets a dangerous national precedent.

The logic suggests opting out of surveillance requires abstaining from essential modern internet use.

In a ruling that privacy advocates warn fundamentally reshapes the boundaries of government surveillance, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declared Tuesday that law enforcement does not need a warrant to access an individual’s Google search history. The decision, which originated from a 2025 rape investigation in Pennsylvania, concluded that internet users cannot reasonably expect privacy for their online queries because data collection by corporations is now commonplace. By equating corporate data harvesting with a public surrender of constitutional rights, the court has granted police a powerful new tool to probe the private thoughts of citizens, setting a precedent that threatens to chill free inquiry and expand the surveillance state....<<<Read More>>>...

Google and Microsoft to demand “age verification” from Australians

Starting 27 December 2025, Australians using internet search engines such as Google and Microsoft Bing while logged in will be required to verify their age through digital identity checks, including methods such as photo ID, facial recognition or digital ID linking.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported in July that Google and Microsoft will be required to implement some form of age-assurance technology by 27 December. If the companies fail to comply, they could face fines of up to nearly AUS$50 million per breach.

This requirement is part of new industry codes registered by the Australian eSafety Commissioner and applies only to users who are signed into their accounts.

These industry codes are not formal legislation as they do not go through Parliament. Instead, The Guardian said, they’re developed by the technology industry and registered by the eSafety commissioner in a process called co-regulation. By bypassing the Parliamentary process, these industry codes can give an enormous amount of power to an unelected official, the eSafety commissioner.

In the meantime, writers are leaving Substack in response to similar censorship and “age verification” rules implemented on the platform earlier this month....<<<Read More>>>...

Substack expands censorship to Australian users

On Wednesday, Australian Substack authors received a message: “Substack is introducing age verification steps for readers in Australia.”

“To say that I was flabbergasted is an understatement,” author of Informed Choice Meryl Dorey said, because “Substack is NOT social media. And it is NOT being required by the Australian Reichstag to ask for age verification.”

Last week, we noted that Substack had caved into the UK censorship regime and was restricting the content that UK users can access unless they verified their age with either a selfie or a government-approved ID.

Age verification is not about keeping children “safe,” it is about control: age verification online is increasingly being integrated with digital ID systems, particularly through government-backed digital identity wallets, and is becoming a foundational component of digital ID systems with several countries, including the US, European Union member states, the UK and Australia, advancing digital ID frameworks where age verification is a core function.

For example, the GOV.UK Wallet is under development and will be used for identity verification, with age verification being a key application. And in Australia, the Digital ID Act 2024 established the Australian Government Digital ID System, allows users to prove identity online....<<<Read More>>>...

UK Online Safety Act: Ofcom has opened a Transatlantic Can of Worms

The UK’s Online Safety Act has sparked a transatlantic dispute over free speech and jurisdiction. US-based platforms are pushing back against the UK regulator Ofcom’s demands for compliance.

Kiwi Farms, 4chan and Gab argue that Ofcom’s demands amount to extraterritorial regulation that conflicts with American law and values; in August, two of the platforms filed a lawsuit in a US federal court to challenge Ofcom’s authority.

Ofcom refused to open the door to the man who had come to its London office to serve the legal complaint, and the US court papers had to be left with a security guard. Unfortunately for Ofcom, it remains validly served. “It is a pretty foregone conclusion that, in the end, the censorious, meddlesome quango will be left with a judgment against it in a US court,” according to The Spectator.

Last week, The Valley Vanguard summarised the transatlantic can of worms that Ofcom has opened...<<<Read More>>>...

UK Online Safety Act is about global censorship – and American lawmakers are noticing

The UK’s Online Safety Act is about censorship rather than safety. It requires age checks and algorithm changes that are leading to over-censorship of content.

The law’s scope of “harmful content” is subjective and can result in the blocking of legal content, with reports of censorship already emerging in the UK, including the blocking of footage and subreddits.

Censorship being imposed by the Act has caught the attention of US lawmakers, both Democrats and Republicans. Democrat Senator Ron Wyden and Republican House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan have both expressed concerns about the impact the Act has on free expression and First Amendment rights in the US....<<<Read More>>>...

Austria advances controversial spyware law enabling government access to encrypted messaging apps

Austria is on the brink of a major expansion of its surveillance powers, as its cabinet greenlights legislation that would allow law enforcement to infiltrate encrypted communications using spyware.

The cabinet proposed law, which targets widely used messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram, would authorize the use of a tool known as source TKU (telecommunications surveillance at the source). The software enables authorities to bypass encryption by monitoring conversations directly on suspects' devices.

Under the newly approved legal framework, authorities can deploy malware known as the Bundestrojaner to intercept encrypted communications on mobile phones and computers even when individuals are not suspected of any crime, provided that all other investigative tools have been exhausted.

The amendments span several key laws, including the State Protection and Intelligence Service Act, the Security Police Act and the Telecommunications Act. Government documents outline two core aims: preventing serious constitutional threats that carry a potential sentence of at least 10 years, and enabling the monitoring of encrypted digital communication.

Karner promised that the use of spyware would be tightly regulated. A panel of three judges would have to approve any surveillance request and the number of individuals targeted annually is expected to remain between 25 and 30. Surpassing that limit would require mandatory reporting to Parliament. If encrypted surveillance exceeds 30 cases in one year, the Interior Minister must notify a permanent subcommittee of the National Council, Austria's lower house of Parliament...<<<Read More>>>....

As empire of lies crumbles, Hillary Clinton warns: "We'll lose total control" if social media stops censoring content

About nine months ago, the WSJ Editor-in-Chief admitted to Davos elites that legacy media outlets no longer had a monopoly on information and narratives. In other words, misinformation and disinformation campaigns to brainwash the masses were no longer working.

"We owned the news. We were the gatekeepers, and we very much owned the facts as well ... Nowadays, people can go to all sorts of different sources for the news. And they're much more questioning about what we're saying," WSJ EIC Emma Tucker said.

Questioning is right. These Davos elites, along with the 'Censorship blob' embedded deep within the Capital Beltway of DC and extending to Silcon's big tech, have been hellbent on dividing the nation for years and tricked the populace into endless foreign wars. At some point, folks must say, 'Enough is enough' as inflation crushes the nation and federal debt spirals out of control amid an illegal alien invasion....<<<Read More>>>...

Here's how sinister the Deep State 'blob' censorship operation really is

 "Americans are subsidizing their silence."

The man who uttered those words is Mike Benz, a former U.S. State Department boss who now strenuously advocates for digital freedom before The Blob, as he calls the deep state, completely controls every aspect of American life with its Censorship Industrial Complex. That complex doesn't exist as an entity but does in reality.

The censorship mechanisms we now see on a daily basis in our Google searches, wildly one-sided "news" coverage, and the consolidation of speech codes into full-fledged and sometimes violent censorship on campuses across the nation are the outgrowth of U.S. State Department censorship programs enacted in 2016 after a new bubble of worldwide populism erupted. It marked the point when all of the mechanisms the U.S. employed against our enemies were turned on the American people....<<<Read More>>>...

Oracle’s Larry Ellison gleefully says AI will usher in a surveillance state

Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle and Chairman of the Board and Chief Technology Officer, envisions a future where artificial intelligence (“AI”) systems monitor citizens extensively through a network of cameras and drones.

Ellison shared his vision during the ‘Oracle Financial Analyst Meeting 2024’ in an investor Q&A session, highlighting the potential benefits of AI-driven supervision.

He said AI will usher in a new era of surveillance that he gleefully said will ensure “citizens will be on their best behaviour because we are constantly recording and reporting everything that’s going on.”

This widespread surveillance will infringe on personal freedoms, creating a surveillance state. But it’s not only citizens he wants AI to oversee. He also envisions that AI will monitor law enforcement. “We’re going to have supervision. Every police officer’s going to be supervised at all times,” he said.

Ellison’s vision highlights a growing trend among tech companies to use AI for societal influence, which could reshape public life in the coming years....<<<Read More>>>...

The Foreboding UN Convention on Cybercrime

The UN committee approved the text of the Convention on Combating Cybercrime. Human rights organizations and information technology experts have called it a threat to democracy and the free world.

“One of the world’s most dangerous surveillance treaties was approved with a standing ovation,” wrote Austrian digital rights group Epicenter Works.

The UN General Assembly is now due to vote on the adoption of the Convention in September.

“It can be assumed that the treaty will be accepted without difficulty at the UN General Assembly in September, and will thus be officially considered a UN convention. After that, it will be available for signature and subsequently it can be ratified,” said political advisor Tanja Fachathalerová. “It can be assumed that it will not be a big problem to achieve the necessary forty ratifications, which are necessary for the treaty to enter into force.”

Legitimization of Repression against Journalists and Opponents
The proposed international treaty aims to combat cybercrime and improve international cooperation between law enforcement agencies. However, more than a hundred human and civil rights organizations around the world have warned of a serious threat to human rights and criticized the fact that the text of the treaty lacks adequate safeguards. According to them, the planned agreement would oblige UN member states to introduce comprehensive measures for the supervision of a wide range of crimes.

“The contract is really a surveillance agreement with too few provisions on data protection and human rights. In practice, it legitimizes the more repressive measures against political opponents or journalists that we now see in authoritarian states,” writes the netzpolitik.org server.

China and Russia Stood at the Beginning of the Convention
It all started with a UN resolution initiated in 2019 by Russia, China, and other countries (such as Iran, Egypt, Sudan, and Uzbekistan) with 88 votes in favor, 58 against, and 34 abstentions.

European states have proposed changes, but according to experts, the resulting compromise does not even meet the conditions necessary to preserve privacy and protect human rights.

Unfortunately, a data access treaty has been drawn up that will allow governments around the world to exchange citizens’ personal information in perpetual secrecy in the event of any crime the two governments agree is ‘serious.’ This would include eavesdropping on location and real-time communications around the world, and force IT workers to divulge passwords or other access keys that would compromise the security of global systems that billions of people rely on every day. And it’s not just private sector systems – government systems are also at risk,” said Nick Ashton-Hart, Digital Economy Policy Director at APCO, who is also leading the Cybersecurity Tech Accord delegation to the Convention negotiations.

The Threat of Criminal Prosecution of Journalists and White Hackers
The Ashton-Hart treaty also puts journalists and whistleblowers at risk of prosecution. The International Press Institute was so concerned about this risk that it placed a full-page ad in the Washington Post. Independent security experts around the world also warned in February that they could face criminal prosecution for their work protecting IT systems from cybercriminals under the draft Convention....<<<Read More>>>...

Attack on free speech: UK government is turning Big Tech companies into online police

Before some of the UK’s strictest censorship laws in living memory have even come into effect, there are already calls to make them even more draconian.

In 2023, the UK government passed the Online Safety Act allegedly to protect children from online harms, or so the public was told. However, the Government is now threatening to use this Act to crack down on free speech in response to recent civil unrest.

Paymaster General and Minister for the Constitution and European Union Relations Nick Thomas-Symonds MP told Sky News: There are obviously aspects of the Online Safety Act that haven’t come into effect yet, but we stand ready to make changes if necessary"

Times of crisis often breed authoritarian responses, Big Brother Watch’s Mark Johnson warned. “This should be a moment for cool heads. Not more censorship.”

He quite rightly pointed out that “instead of addressing the root causes of the shameful scenes of social unrest, some politicians have suggested knee-jerk reactions which threaten to weaken all of our democratic rights....<<<Read More>>>...

Big Tech partners with WEF to implement “Global Coalition for Digital Safety” scheme for world domination

 WHATEVER!

+++++++++

The world's leading online censorship outlets are teaming up to try to subdue the globe under a new "Global Digital Safety" pact that as usual gives the globalists all the power.

The Digital Trust & Safety Partnership (DTSP), United Kingdom regulator OFCOM and the infamous World Economic Forum (WEF) embraced a threesome wedding with each other, the offspring of which is this little doozy outlining their scheme for world domination.

What DTSP, OFCOM and WEF each bring to the relationship is strategic:

- DTSP exists to "address harmful content" and ensure online "age assurance" verification

- OFCOM exists to establish "online safety"

- WEF exists to ensure you own nothing and are happy about it, as well as to brainwash law enforcement into fighting against free speech as if it were a "crime" to exercise your First Amendment rights, which is what the above-linked paper from this trio is promoting...<<<Read More>>>...

White House calls on tech giants to censor all video clips of Joe Biden behaving like a dementia patient, claiming such videos are “fakes”

Joe Biden’s displays of mental incompetence have become so egregious that his team is now calling on Big Tech firms to censor video clips in which his confusion is on full display.

During a parachute display and skydiving demonstration at the G7 summit in Southern Italy last week, he can be seen wandering off from a group of world leaders during a planned photo opportunity, appearing to completely miss the presentation taking place in front of him and turning in the other direction to talk to an officer who was packing up a parachute. He had to be guided back to his place by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who had to walk toward him backward so she could continue to face her fellow leaders.

Video footage of this “senior moment” quickly circulated online as people wonder how someone who is so mentally unfit could run our country for another four years. This prompted a number of “fact check” labels and accusations from the media that the clip is being shared without providing context and that somehow the aging president isn’t nearly as senile as the clip would imply.

As usual, the censor-happy Biden administration has taken this one step further, with Biden campaign spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod calling the footage “disinformation” despite being legitimate and calling on social media platforms to remove it or limit its distribution.

That’s right; Biden acts like a dementia patient on the world stage, and desperate and delusional liberals think they can just use their Big Tech connections to scrub it entirely, like it never happened...<<<Read More>>>....

Big pharma is more woke than you imagine

Big Pharma is not your friend. Whether it’s hiking up drug prices or bribing the Swamp, the pharmaceutical industry works against the people’s interests. Many Americans are aware of Big Pharma’s greed and the power it wields over Washington, D.C., but fewer are aware of just how left-wing the industry is. It serves as a cash cow for the left and pushes woke ideas on its employees and the country at large. This may explain why Democrats, who act like they hate Big Pharma, serve the industry’s interests.

While the drugmakers spread their cash around all of DC, they overwhelmingly prefer Democrats. In recent elections, Big Pharma donated significantly more money to Democratic candidates than Republican candidates. From 2016 to 2022, the industry gave a whopping $29 million to Democratic candidates. This trend stands true for the current election cycle, with more cash going to Democrats once again. This favoritism extends to the presidential race. The drug lobby has donated four times more money to Joe Biden than it has to Donald Trump. And the industry’s generosity to Team Blue doesn’t end with individual candidates. Its chief lobby, PhRMA, also gives millions to liberal campaign arms like the Democratic Attorneys General Association.

Democratic campaigns are just one aspect of Big Pharma’s wokeness. The pharmaceutical giants lavishly donate to left-wing causes outside of electoral politics....<<<Read More>>>...

U.K. passes Online Safety Bill in latest attack targeting online free speech and privacy in Britain

The U.K.'s House of Commons recently passed the Online Safety Bill, which represents the country's latest and most damaging attack to online free speech and privacy.

The bill supposedly aims to keep websites and different types of internet-based platforms free of illegal and harmful material, while allegedly defending online freedom of expression at the same time.

The bill's provisions apply to search engines, internet services that host user-generated content like YouTube and social media platforms, online forums, certain kinds of online games and sites that publish or display pornographic or otherwise adult content...<<<Read More>>>...

Brave search engine officially cuts ties with Bing, wants nothing to do with Big Tech

From now on, the privacy-focused search engine Brave Search will no longer use Bing or any other third-party indexes because of rampant censorship.

As part of an effort to stop relying on any technology solutions controlled by what has come to be known as Big Tech, Brave Search will instead use its own solutions exclusively to ensure users are given full and accurate search results, no matter the topic or query.

“By default, Brave Search users will now receive 100% of results from the Brave Index, giving users fully independent results,” Brave announced in a blog post. “As always, our results will preserve user privacy.”

First launched in 2021, Brave Search is an extension of the Brave web browser, which is marketed as a “private search engine.” Up until now, Brave Search relied on other indexes for about 13 percent of user search queries, though last year the company was able to trim that figure down to just 7 percent.

Now, 0 percent of Brave Search results come from outside indexes. This was made possible using tools such as the Web Discovery Project, which allows Brave browser users to send anonymous data to the company to help develop Brave’s internal index....<<<Read More>>>...

How The U.S. Government Works With Big Tech To Censor Information On Social Media

One of the latest explorations of censorship comes from The Intercept who revealed internal Department of Homeland Security documents that confirm their plans to continue censoring opinions about COVID-19, “racial justice,” and US support for Ukraine going forward. Their documents effectively show that the government agencies work to control American public discourse online.

One of their major revelations is that tech companies – including Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Wikipedia, Microsoft and LinkedIn – met with the FBI and other government agencies every month, before and since the 2020 election to talk about this. Facebook even set up a special portal for “takedowns” that requires a law enforcement email to access.

One of the authors of The Intercept report, Lee Fang, tweeted the following on Monday,

Facebook and Twitter created special portals for the government to rapidly request takedowns of content. The portals, along with NGO partners used to censor a wide range of content, including obvious parody accounts and content disagreeing w gov pandemic policy. pic.twitter.com/Jth0WUfXAI— Lee Fang (@lhfang) October 31, 2022

The recent COVID pandemic is a great example of how this partnership was likely in place. During the pandemic, any science showing that natural immunity to COVID-19 was quite robust was subjected to this type of censorship. Scientists and scientific papers were met with “fact checks” or content removals on emerging and evolving topics that were not actually false. If their findings did not align with Big Government, they were shut down....<<<Read More>>>....

“We Own The Science” – United Nations Partners With Google To Increase Censorship

During a World Economic Forum (WEF) anti-disinformation panel last week, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, Melissa Fleming, announced that they “own the science,” in reference to their climate initiative, as seen in the clip posted below.

She brought up their partnership with big tech companies including TikTok and Google that contribute to controlling the narrative on climate change information.

Yes, you read that correctly, they had an “anti-disinformation panel.” The idea that disinformation regarding major issues like climate change and COVID-19 for example, is running rampant. It has sparked censorship initiatives all over the world. Big Tech companies have partnered with various international organizations as well as numerous federal agencies to combat this so called “disinformation.”...<<<Read More>>>....

Covid “Vaccine” News: Big Tech Continue to Censor but People Continue to Wake Up

Big Tech is still trying to control the message, they do not want anyone to find out how deadly the Covid injections are. But German vaccine-injury insurance claims and 1250+ peer-reviewed studies reveal what Big Tech is trying to keep hidden. To add to Big Tech’s woes, Canadian court documents reveal that travel bans imposed on the vaccine-free had no scientific basis.

Africa is waking up to Big Pharma and the “world government.” In the USA, 130 coast guards take legal action against vaccine mandates. Italy makes a resounding U-turn and announces all medical staff who had been suspended for not having a Covid injection can return to work. And some good news out of Israel – Israelis refuse to inject their youngest with expired gene therapy drugs.

We tried to run a simple two-question survey to find out just how safe or unsafe the vaccines are. Google refused to let us ask the questions.

Clearly, they don’t want anyone to know the truth. The only truth they want you to know is what the government tells you.

Last week, YouTube censored a video conversation between Dr. Pierre Kory and Dr. Chris Martenson. The reason they gave was that YouTube doesn’t allow “claims about Covid-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from local health authorities or the World Health Organization.”

On Thursday, July 21, in the lead-up to World Ivermectin Day, Twitter permanently suspended the World Council for Health from the platform without warning.

Stephanie Seneff, a Senior Research Scientist at MIT who published a recent paper with Dr. Peter McCullough looking at whether mRNA vaccines may be causing illness and death, had her account suspended last week as well.

The list of attendees at this ‘blocked party’ is, truthfully, too hard to keep up with....<<<Read More>>>...
