The Government is Ignoring the Harms of Smartphone Radiation

 Should the Government really ban social media for under-16s? The recent debate on the negative effects on children of smartphones and screens has aroused strong feelings on all sides, but some highly relevant facts have been completely ignored.

Armed with recent research on the behavioural effects of engaging electronically, as well as the damaging effects of social media content, campaigners such as Health Professionals for Safer Screens have been making their voices heard in Parliament and now a social media ban has been announced. But the objections to this are many: children could easily circumvent the ban; it might be seen as unwanted state interference in matters which concern parents only; the need for age verification may make it easier for the Government to sneak in digital ID.

My question is: is proper debate really possible, when certain facts have been completely and consistently swept under the carpet? The facts I refer to are the result of decades of scientific research which suggest that electromagnetic fields (EMFs), including wireless radiation from smartphones and other sources, have a negative impact on health. Politicians seem averse to engaging with the scientific evidence on this.

Six years ago, for example, the Broadband and Road to 5G inquiry, set up by the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, invited submissions and received 147 of them. In its report, the committee seemed to imply that the negative health effects of EMFs detailed in 78 of these submissions were “conspiracy theories” and, though robust evidence was cited in most submissions, the committee failed to report on them and was content to ignore 51% of the written evidence (more details here). When there is clear evidence of health risks, why will policymakers not engage?

Unregulated wireless 5G rollout under HR 2289 would be catastrophic for human health and the environment

The purpose of HR 2289, currently being considered in the U.S. Congress, is to remove all local control over the rollout of 5G cell towers. There are many reasons that unregulated 5G (which stands for 5th generation), will bring devastation. Escape Zone: The ultimate survival guide against EMFs, surveillance and the hidden dangers of 5G

Ten Studies Detail Health Risks of 5G

 The first of these, published in September 2022 in the journal Reviews on Environmental Health, provides a good overview of the hazards 5G poses. The authors pointed out that, since September 2017, over 400 scientists and doctors have collectively submitted six appeals to the European Union, calling for a moratorium on 5G technology. All have been ignored.

The September 2021 appeal included an “extensive cover letter” in which experts argued that the EU’s reliance on guidelines by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) places public health at risk because the guidelines only consider “heating and no other health relevant biological effects from RFR.”

5G ushers in aggressive growth in energy consumption

 “A lurking threat behind the promise of 5G delivering up to 1,000 times as much data as today’s networks is that 5G could also consume up to 1,000 times as much energy,” IEEE Spectrum wrote in 2018.

Why? Because, as Environmental Health Trust noted, there will be an increase in the number of small cells, massive multiple-input multiple-output (“MIMO”) antennas, cloud computing and an explosion of internet-connected devices.

One 5G base station is estimated to consume about as much power as 73 households. Three years ago, it was estimated that by 2025 5G would consume more than 20% of the world’s energy.

5G is in the millimetre wave bands – 24-86 GHz. This slice of radio spectrum can carry large amounts of data, but not nearly as far as the current mobile network at frequencies from 700 megahertz to 6 gigahertz. What this means is that for 5G, a lot more equipment needs to be installed and potentially more data needs to be processed.

Additionally, it is important to note that millimetre wave communications are prone to interference. For example, radio at above 20 GHz doesn’t go through walls well. It doesn’t go through leaves well. It doesn’t play nicely with rain. What does this mean? Many, many more antennas.

Measuring networking power consumption requires the capacity to determine how much energy wired and wireless networks consume.

“A general concern is that higher data rates can only be achieved by consuming more energy; if the EE [energy efficiency] is constant, then 100× higher data rate in 5G is associated with a 100× higher energy consumption.” This is where headlines like, “Tsunami of data could consume 1/5 of global data by 2025,” come from.

In addition to transmitting or harvesting data, energy can also be moved in 5G networks. With 5G, one of the novel technologies being considered is Radio Frequency (RF) harvesting; converting energy in transmitted radio waves to user devices or even wireless infrastructure (microcells, antenna arrays, etc.). Since RF signals can carry both energy and information, theoretically RF energy harvesting and information reception can be performed from the same RF input signal. Russian scientists find 5G exposure triggers 'significant' brain changes in lab rats

Controlled exposure to the 5G radiation spectrum has resulted in changes to the brain tissue of laboratory rats, according to a team of scientists from Tomsk State University (TSU) in Russia.

Ever since the introduction of 5G cellphone infrastructure, there have been concerns about its potential health effects. The International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified the 5G radio frequency electromagnetic field (RF-EMF) as a "possible" human carcinogen, but no conclusive research has emerged either way.

"We decided to find out what the effect of non-ionizing radiation is on rodents of different ages," Natalia Krivova, lead researcher at the TSU's Biology and Biophysics Research Institute, said in a statement this week.

TSU scientists experimented on male Wistar rats, preferred by scientists for having similar reactions to external stimuli as humans. They tested three different age groups: 5-6 week old rats (corresponding to human adolescents), 10-11 week old (human adults age 40 and up) and rats aged 17-18 weeks (humans 65 and older). All were exposed to RF-EMF frequencies for five weeks, which is equivalent to about four years of human lifespan.

The study showed no outward changes between the rats exposed to the radiation and the control group.

"However, a more detailed study of the rats' brain tissue after exposure to the 5G antenna revealed a significant change in the ratio of antioxidants and oxidants," Krivova said.

It is still unclear whether the changes will lead to positive or negative changes in the rats' cognitive abilities, or whether their bodies will somehow compensate for the disruption, she added, calling for further research into the subject....<<<Read More>>>...

Other Countries Are Taking the Health Risks of 5G and Wireless Radiation Seriously. Why Isn’t the U.K.?

 Momentum is building in the campaign to try to protect children from harmful smartphone use. Earlier this year, Miriam Cates MP led a lively debate on this subject, while the Education Committee led an inquiry entitled, ‘Screen Time – Impacts on Education and Wellbeing’. The grassroots movement, including Smartphone Free Childhood, Safe Screens and others is gathering pace. The latter organisation is in fact actively supporting MP Josh MacAlister’s Safer Phones Bill launched earlier this month, which aims to “make smartphones less addictive for children and empower families and teachers to cut down on children’s daily smartphone screen time”.

The  dangers of smartphone use are clearly serious and encompass addiction, harmful content, exposure to sexual abuse and bullying, disruption of learning, behavioural changes through the habits adopted and the loss of previously normal childhood activities and social interactions. The movement hails Jonathan Haidt as the “world’s leading voice” on the damage caused to children by a phone-based childhood. Haidt identifies the damage as an “adolescent mental health crisis”.

The diagnosis, therefore, is overwhelmingly one of psychological damage. What I find astounding, however, is that with the exception of Safe Screens, no-one has mentioned the effects on children’s health of the wireless radiation signals emitted by smart devices, Wi-Fi or phone masts. Are we taking the risks of 5G seriously enough?

Two months ago, the U.S. state of New Hampshire introduced a bipartisan bill requiring wireless antennae to be placed at least 500 metres away from residences, businesses and schools as well as putting measures in place to inform the public about the health risks of radio-frequency radiation (RFR) and to replace Wi-Fi with wired technology in schools. The measures are based on the findings of the New Hampshire Commission to "Study the Environmental and Health Effects of Evolving 5G Technology".

In many countries including the U.K., mobile communications base stations can be placed as close as 20 to 25 metres to residential properties. Over the last few years, many of these masts have been upgraded to 5G using frequencies of 3.5 GHz and including a complex set of special signal modulations, pulses, polarisation, phased arrays and novel equipment designs to enable faster and larger data downloads.

But what are the health implications of placing these new high tech 5G base stations so close to living and working accommodation? Professor Lennart Hardell, an Oncologist from the Environment and Cancer Research Foundation, Sweden, and Mona Nilsson from the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation have just completed a series of eight 5G case studies, in which they study 18 people in a real-life 5G environment.

The authors state in their introduction to the fifth study, that:
5G base stations for wireless communication have been deployed on a broad scale since 2019-2020 in many countries despite [there being] no previous research on possible negative effects from the radiation emitted from 5G on human health and the environment. 

They go on to explain that there are now a few animal studies involving the frequency of 3.5 GHz as used for 5G, but that they lack most other elements of the 5G real-life environment, which include modulation, pulsation and simultaneous exposure to multiple frequencies. Even without these extra elements, however, the studies showed negative effects such as oxidative stress in the liver, kidneys, the plasma, degenerated neurons in the brain as well as oxidative stress in muscles and negative effects on bone strength. Experts raise public health fears about microwave syndrome from 5G masts

The Government would have us believe that "there may be a small increase in overall exposure to radio waves when 5G is added to an existing network or in a new area" but that "there should be no consequences for public health". Is this actually the case? On what evidence has this statement been made?

I have just read the four 5G case studies carried out this year by Professor Lennart Hardell and Mona Nilsson, in which eight people developed debilitating symptoms after the installation of 5G masts next to their accommodation, where precise radiation measurements were taken. The results put a big question mark over the Government's statement.

Has our Government ignored the worldwide appeals and consensus statements made by independent scientists and doctors, calling for a revision of safety guidelines and a halt to the rollout of 5G on the basis of research on the much lower levels of pre-5G emissions? These include:

433 scientists who have signed the EU 5G appeal. 259 scientists from 44 nations who have signed the international EMF scientist appeal. 164 scientists and medical doctors as well as 95 non-governmental organisations who have signed the EMF Call. 

There is also the compelling 2020 Consensus Statement of U.K. and international, medical and scientific experts on the health effects of non-ionising radiation, signed by organisations representing 3,500 medical doctors throughout the world, initiated by the Physicians' Health Initiative for Radiation and Environment (PHIRE).

The lead author of the four 5G case studies is Professor Hardell, an oncologist and leading researcher from the Swedish Research Foundation for Environment and Cancer. He was the first in the world to publish results on elevated cancer risks with mobile phone use. His co-author, Mona Nilsson, is Director of the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation, which seeks, in the absence of information from the Government or the media, to inform people of the risks.

Recent Case of Severe Microwave Syndrome Reveals Problems With 5G

 After a 5G base station was installed within 60 meters of her second-floor apartment, a middle-aged, otherwise healthy, Swedish woman developed debilitating symptoms corresponding with radiofrequency (RF)/microwave syndrome, researchers at the Environment and Cancer Research Foundation (ECRF) in Sweden reported this month. This was the third such case the researchers had documented.

Legal case against UK Government for not warning about 5G health risks is awaiting judgement

Last week the Administrative Court heard the judicial review of the Secretary of State’s alleged failure to address the evidence of risks to human health posed by 5G technology. Judgment is awaited from the Administrative Court in due course.

The case was brought by Action Against 5G with the support of the public through Crowd Justice. Action Against 5G are individuals across the UK, including doctors, scientists and engineers who have joined forces to commence legal proceedings to challenge the UK government’s failure to take sufficient notice of clearly identified health and safety risks of wireless radiation and the increased exposure from the deployment of 5G.

At the hearing, the Government argued that there is no duty to inform the public of any risks at all because it essentially denies that there are any risks from the increased exposures or new form of radiation frequency to be used in the 5G rollout. This is in keeping with its publications that have sought to reassure the public that there – categorically and conclusively – is no chance of harm arising from exposure to 5G and radiofrequency radiation (“RFR”).

The claimants’ claimed the position taken by the Government is not based upon the scientific report that the government itself has advanced as being the most up-to-date piece of international research. That is the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (“ICNIRP”) March 2020 guidelines.

Far from providing any proof of an absence of risk, the ICNIRP guidelines in fact evidence the existence of risks and notes that several are yet to be fully understood or proven by repetition of study or by anthropological study directly on people who are “guinea pigs” for ubiquitous RFR or 5G in the real world....<<<Read More>>>...

New 5G Research; “the interfaces that carriers have set up to manage Internet-of-things data are riddled with security vulnerabilities”

 True 5G wireless data, with its ultrafast speeds and enhanced security protections, has been slow to roll out around the world. As the mobile technology proliferates—combining expanded speed and bandwidth with low-latency connections—one of its most touted features is starting to come in to focus. But the upgrade comes with its own raft of potential security exposures.

A massive new population of 5G-capable devices, from smart-city sensors to agriculture robots and beyond, are gaining the ability to connect to the Internet in places where Wi-Fi isn’t practical or available. Individuals may even elect to trade their fiber-optic Internet connection for a home 5G receiver. But the interfaces that carriers have set up to manage Internet-of-things data are riddled with security vulnerabilities, according to research presented this week at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas. And those vulnerabilities could dog the industry long-term.

After years of examining potential security and privacy issues in mobile-data radio frequency standards, Technical University of Berlin researcher Altaf Shaik says he was curious to investigate the application programming interfaces (APIs) that carriers are offering to make IoT data accessible to developers. These are the conduits that applications can use to pull, say, real-time bus-tracking data or information about stock in a warehouse. Such APIs are ubiquitous in web services, but Shaik points out that they haven’t been widely used in core telecommunications offerings. Fifth Generation (5G) Directed Energy Radiation Emissions In the Context of Contaminated Nanometal Covid-19 Vaccines with Graphite Ferrous Oxide Antennas

Atmospheric Spraying and 5GHZ Wi-Fi Disrupting Oxygen

A reader has written to us describing how he overcame lethargy which he believes was caused by particulates from atmospheric spraying in combination with 5GHz Wi-Fi. I’m contacting you because I think I’ve made an important discovery which I’d like to share. It’s not quite on topic for your website but certainly part of the same anti-human conspiracy. That is of possible interaction happening between some chemicals used in atmospheric aerosol spraying and 5GHz Wi-Fi radiation.

Ever since a major geoengineering aerosol spraying (with clear weather/climate effects) over my town of residence, I’ve been feeling very lethargic, apathetic and powerless. It’s been like the air got harder to breathe and I’ve had to open several windows or else it’s felt like I was going to choke.

I did figure it was due to the spraying but now I’ve figured out that there’s more to the story. You see, I got the idea that perhaps Wi-Fi is unhealthy and to test I turned off the higher frequency, 5GHz, signal. Almost right away I began feeling more alert, energised and motivated. It started feeling easier to breathe as well. I told someone else about it as well and was allowed to turn off her 5GHz Wi-Fi signal to test. She then experienced the same as I did, that it got easier to breathe. Before shutting it off it was stuffy even with the balcony door open, after it became airy even with it closed.

So, what I figure is that something in the aerosol spray must be interacting with 5GHz radio signals and distorting or in some other way harming the oxygen.

I’m sure it’s not a placebo effect as these two days since shutting off 5GHz I’ve gotten more done than I did in over a month before. It’s like a night and day difference. As well, as I wrote above, another person experienced it the same.

 [Natural News]: Telecommunications megacorporations are poised to launch their “upgraded” 5G networks in the United States this January. This is despite the fact that there is plenty of evidence that such a rollout would lead to catastrophe and deaths, especially among Americans who are fully vaccinated against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).

Sean, the host of SGT Report’s online show, pointed out that there is evidence of 5G towers emitting some kind of electromagnetic waves that directly attack people’s bodies. As evidence, he provided a video released to the public by La Quinta Columna.

The Spanish media outlet played a short clip on one of its recent livestreams of a man who parks his bike right next to a 5G tower for a few seconds and then suddenly collapsing out of nowhere. Delgado speculates that this glitch is what triggered the man’s collapse, and that it was caused by the 5G tower right next to him.
