Monthly Review For November 2011

November 2011 has very much been in the vein of previous months ... it began on a real high after the crest of the wave created by the successful four day venue in Perth, WA at the end of October 2011. Early November was filled with party bookings & follow up readings from referals & follow ups from expos & venues earlier in the year ... and also with a number of returning clients from home readings here in Canberra. It is always very gratifying to have clients returning time after time ... and for new clients to make appointments based on recommendations from existing clients; especially in the head winds being experienced in early mid November created by the 'fallout' from issues that had reigned earlier in the year. In truth, I was barely effected by all the huffing and puffing pointed in my direction. It was sad to witness such minds at work ... but that is the reality of this field! Its a fact of life! Personal readings have been a consistent theme throughout November, much like in previous months. The other pleasing aspect of November 2011 was the continued sustained growth of our fortnightly development group which we started in April 2011. Many of our original members still attend ... and a number of special nights in November 2011 enabled several of our members to practise their skills in front of an audience.

The end of November 2011 saw another successful live show by The Four Mediums. This time in Newcastle NSW. The four mediums - Suzie Cherub, Luke Patrick, Suzy Price and Matthew James - put on an incredible display of mediumship ... each with their own unique style. The evening was captured on video footage. The evening commenced with the lovely Suzie Cherub who provided some compelling evidenceby way of her wonderful unique mediumship. Next there was the powerful and incredibly accurate Luke Patrick who shares a mutual 'guide' with Matthew James. After a brief interval the sensational Suzy Price provided evidence of survival in her own inimitible way. Connecting with the audience in a  more personal way than the other three. Finally, it was the turn of Matthew James to stun the audience with his brand of mediumship and accurate information from the other side. The evening ended after all four mediums took to the stage to take some questions from the audience. Then it was over ... until the next show in early 2012!!!

So all in all, November 2011 has been a very pleasing month. Very busy ... with a number of interesting plans laid down ... venues, expos, shows, workshops all in the pipeline for 2012 ... watch out for more details --- MJ

Monthly Review For October 2011

2012 looms ever closer ... our focus is drawn more and more to that charismatic year. 2012 has much planned for me personally, now. October 2011 was a key month in the organisation of what is in 2012 on a personal level. Many ventures in Australia & in the UK will take place throughout 2012 ...

But bringing attention back to the matter in hand ... a look back at last month. October 2012 began with another challenge presenting itself to me. Live readings on radio! A challenge which I approached with my usual optimism. Another challenge which I thoroughly enjoyed. Many thanks to Mike Davies in the Uk for inviting me on his wonderful show. Watch this space for news of my next appearances.

Throughout October 2011 private readings continued to flourish ... both at home and in Sydney, NSW, where I've been involved in a new venture offering readings in the Sydney area ...

Our own development group which meets fortnightly here in Canberra has also continued to flourish ... with a number of our attendees growing in confidence with their own abilities igniting brilliantly.

One of my newest 'ventures' ... Intensive Mediumship Training (IMT) Workshops also commenced in October 2011 ... which was another pleasing aspect of last month. Everything is gelling well ... and shaping up into what was predicted to me back in the early 70's when 'spirit came to visit me' on a regular basis.

Towards the end of October 2011 I attended The Conscious Living Expo in Perth, WA. I had four fantastic days!! I had to turn back as many readings as I actually managed to get through over these days!!! I was thankfully well received by the people of Perth. I was flat out all four days with private mediumship & clairvoyant readings ... which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also took to the live performance stage on two of the days ... with live mediumship demonstrations. The audience on both days were well entertained ... there was plenty of evidence provided with a high percentage of validation on both days which is all I can hope for when putting myself on a live stage as a medium!!! In other words spirit didn't let me down!! I'm now delighted with the level of consistency I have now attained ... and will continue to work hard to keep it flowing! Follow ups from the Expo have been good so far ... which is an added bonus!

The momentum is now in full force ... with the push happening now for the busy months ahead. November 2011 is likely to be just as busy ... with another Four Mediums Show in NSW towards the end of the month ... and plenty of private readings already, in the pipeline - Matthew James 7/11/11

Monthly Review For September 2011

September 2011 was a ridiculously quick month. It came and went ... it is now a memory. A month that had some of the highest points of the year so far. Private readings are still abundant with numerous returning clients from the last few years, which is always welcomed. Many thanks to my clients for making the readings such a joyful experience. There were a couple of interesting psychic expos in September 2011 which I played my part in. It was pleasing to be part of a 'soul family' with other practitioners and stall holders in these Expos. So nice to venture to the likes of Ulladulla NSW and Hornsby NSW ... and catch up with good friends, as well as being of service to the universe.

September 2011 also saw the final touches to our UK tour and visit being made, with several venues being confirmed. Many thanks to our long standing friends in the Uk ... two friends in particular who we used to organise our own venues with back in the UK in the 1990's. Two reputable Australian Mediums will be venturing to the Northern Hemisphere with us next year ... but not before hitting the road with us here in Australia with a series of life shows and ventures which were also planned this month.

September 2011 also heralded the launch of the Intensive Mediumship Training Workshops ... the first one being organised here in Canberra, which was a great success. Members of our own open circle group attended the workshop ... and it made for a fantastic day. A big thank you to all who attended the first workshop for making it what it was.

September 2011 had been the month which had our focus firmly on 2012 and all the fantastic events we're going to be part of next year ...... Matthew James 4th October 2011

Monthly Review For August 2011

Yet another month draws to a close ... 2011 is beginning to fade on the horizon as 2012 looms closer. For me, 2012 has a strange significance ... it is my 8 ... a karmic return for the last 9 years. Interesting it may not be to many ... for me it is fraught with 'danger'... I am dealing with 'soul numerology' all the time. Each and every client has their soul numerology assessed in their sittings with me ... and I see the pitfalls & obstacles that an 8 presents ... so I am braced for quite a year next year. However, this month appears to have been a indication of  what to expect ... as life presented to me a dress rehearsal of what I will be dealing with from about March 2012 to March 2013. Odd though really. I'm supposedly in my ambitious 7 ... the diving board year ... well, yes, I do have that this year. Very much so. And I can see how this ambition is fuelling the fires which will burst into flame next year. Jealousy & envy have most certainly come to the surface this month. Not from me personally .. but from others around me in this wonderful environment. There are a number of egos strutting their stuff around me ... which have been threatened by me shining this month. Hence the reason why the monthly review for August 2011 has started in this way ... I recognise the signs and the symptoms ... and understand the soul journey I have undertaken ... the adventure around the wheel of life. My test, my burden ... is to be myself. I am I in its entirety. For some reason this has caused so many problems ... I look at the scar ridden terrain around me ... the broken shards of mirrors ... the bruised egos ... and shake myself off before walking away from that meadow of weeds. It now occurs to me that I DID the RIGHT thing in July ... I walked away and don't look back. I have bigger things ...

Moving on swiftly to more important things ...

The Four Mediums Show on Saturday 27th August 2011 ... was a BIG success despite the efforts of others to disrupt proceedings. One of the four mediums advertised for the show pulled out of proceedings on the morning of the show. We didn't get to hear of this until the afternoon ... when I was able to check Facebook ... there was a message there saying he was too unwell to proceed.  It came as no surprise to us in truth ... the signs had been there for the past few weeks. One phone call prompted a strong replacement ... however, due to other commitments it wasn't possible. The mantle, therefore, fell on the shoulders of one of our guests for the evening. He was magnificent. The show was fantastic ... despite me leaving my intended attire behind ... despite technical hitches with the microphones on the evening. Our show lasted for three hours from 7pm to 10pm .... yet most of the audience didn't leave until well after 11pm that night!!! The energy in the room was such that nobody wanted to leave!!

Suzie Price & myself were first up. We did the first half of the evening. Considering it was the first time we'd been on stage together ... we did fantastic. The connections to the other side and the validations were well received by the members of the audience. We both hit the ground running with the connections ... I had a number of multiple links to contend with ... which were solved by obtaining the actual name of the person linking to me from 'the other side'. Suzie Price was awesome! Her manner was well received ... and her accuracy was incredible.

After a short interval, Suzy Cherub and Robbie Nacson (Our stand in medium for the evening) entered the fray. The good thing about the entire evening was how all four of us had our own unique style. Something which the audience thoroughly enjoyed. Suzy had previously been on stage with myself in a show back in July. I knew what Suzy was capable of, and she was able to deliver accurate connections for the audience. It came Robbie's turn ... and his energy and enthusiasm was incredible. He was able to provide accurate short and sweet bits of information to the audience ... before unleashing his forte on several people. Numerology readings using the Pythagoras method ... a number of members of the audience were blown away by his accuracy. Well done Robbie!

Then came the final part of the evening. A questions and answers section where each of us were able to impart more connections from the other side. Suzie Price  was able to connect a brother with a couple and astounded the apparently sceptical husband by letting him know she knew he was a police officer! Impressive stuff Suzie! Both me and Suzy Cherub were able to validate a connection between a woman in the audience and her mother. Robbie hosted the final part of the evening ...

All four mediums were met with warm and loud applause from the audience at the end of the show ....

The Four Mediums show was therefore a big success! We have other shows planned ... and other ideas to undertake. The obvious rivalry of others hasn't ruined anything ... it just inspires me to venture into the vale of 2012 knowing what to expect. Rivals are plotting their own wanderings ... peers are watching me with baleful eyes ... and the rumour mill is working 24/7 to write me an epitaph ...! I care not. I will overcome ... I've genuinely been in this field for over 25 years ... since I was 19 years of age ... I am now 45! I've seen it all before. Egos come and egos go ... dead fish float downstream and living fish catch the current and wander upstream. Believe me ... this industry is fraught with danger.

So August 2011 has been one of 'those' type of months. Plenty of plans made and directions wandered along. Plenty of travelling to venues and weekend bookings. It's been a successful month in many ways ... and a disappointing month in other ways. The 'ego has landed' is a background theme for the month ... its ongoing pressures boiling over in the background. The theme is an identical one to what was experienced in 90's UK. There is no difference ... you shine your light and the water cannons try to extinguish it! But, the duck's back is now bone dry, believe me.

All in all ... a satisfying month .. MJ 31st August 2011.

Monthly Review For July/August 2011

Well ... here we are again ... at the start of another month; 2011 has been one of the quickest years in recent memory. Sustained acceleration of events has catapulted us all to this point in time ... 2012 is almost upon us. The adventure has begun ... the shift in vibration now out in the open, its energy there full in our face. You only need look at the recent paranormal photographs posted in the last week from our recent paranormal investigation. Ten years ago the same visit would not have heralded the same results. There is most definitely a lift in vibration on this world ... the 'elite' forces out there are doing their best to hide this fact, but are failing miserably ... and will continue to do so.

For me August 2011 is most likely to be similar, but different to July 2011 ... it's most certainly a case of as one chapter closes, I do not intend to make it a sixth appearance, or any more for that matter. The challenge was all that was necessary ... I was able to prove to myself I could undertake instantaneous connections in front of a watching live TV audience. It is best to be remembered at your peak doing something ... which is what I decided when I left the studio for the final time. I had an opportunity recently to make it a sixth, but my enthusiasm for the situation had faded. It was not convenient so I turned it down. My intentions were always honest ones ... which were noticed by certain production team members .... they know who they are ... and also the audience. It was the only way to do it as far as I was concerned. But, sadly, there are those who do not have the same moral code as me ... who saw me as the new kid on the block ... and permitted their egos to shine. The moment I felt this shift in the air ... I lost all heart to be there; I detest false egos. I walked away from that back in the early 90's in the UK ... and do not intend to go back to it. There are several faces who will sadly be missed ... but there were certain 'alliances' which were seedy to say the least, who I will not miss one bit. The foundations of the program were not what I want to be associated with. The experience was an awesome one ... I have those memories (And the recordings of the shows I appeared on too) to cherish. But my eyes are firmly focussed on the next installment of this type of work. Believe me ... it's not that far away. Opportunities are afoot which will lead to this next installment .. so watch this space.

Anyway, I have plenty of other things to dedicate my attention to now ... the phone line is getting off the ground slowly ... as well as all the other projects I find coming out of the wood work and growing in their intensity.

July 2011 was most certainly a turning point. Certain events fuelled me to press the green light ... and venture along avenues I'd not been inspired to go along before. Jealous rivalry never has the intended effect with me ... it coaxes me into action mode. The more the jealousy directed at me, the more I use the energy to distance myself from those who follow me. I am always happy to lead ... I did it enough times back in my rock climbing days ... followers never know the terrain they are being taken through and will always find themselves out of their depth; especially as these individuals know insufficient about me to realise what I am really about. This is to their detriment believe me.

August 2011 will herald another live demonstation evening. The first in mid-July 2011 was yet another challenge which I undertook ... and found I was able to fulfill the task at hand. Therefore ... August 2011 appears to be yet another stepping stone year ... a point on the journey and not the destination ... the destination can be discerned in the mist but its location is not being discussed with anyone. I have a clear picture of where I will be ... but remains firmly locked in my memory banks. I am not prepared to remain static ... water becomes stagnant if it remains still for too long ... this tortoise is moving in a direction which the mad march hare has no idea of ... it is too busy pruning its ego and making sure all eyes are watching it make a total fool of itself. There is way too much of the ego personalities in the field. as I have said before ... too many ego drivers ... and not enough true selves in control. I witness it so often and can fully understand what my true teacher saw in me over 20 years ago. She saw me strut the same walk and always wore a half smile when she talked to me. I bear that same half smile ... there are so many catwalk struts from so called professionals. So much jealousy; so much manure spreading ... I really can't be bothered with it all. So many are like the 'Gollum' of the mystic world ... possessing the precious when they are not ready ... letting that possession eat away at their consciousness Changing them in ways they do not realise ... their minds are not ready for the intense energies they steal from others who are ready.

Anyway, lecture over ... this field is a well known stomping ground for the wannabes. There are many genuine ones out there ... they know who they are at this particular moment in time. Through August 2011 I will be walking with them. Several others will be arriving in September through to December 2011. Many other walkers will be left behind. Such is life ... I just know the journey ahead is an awesome one. I don't often look for myself; too busy am I looking out for other people ... but this is one instance I have pulled back the moss for myself. I find it hard to conceal the big beaming smile ... it's been a long thirty years of waiting for these moments that arrive.

Monthly Review For June/July 2011

This has been one of the busiest, most rewarding periods in my life for many years. Apologies first to all the regulars who visit A Light In The Darkness for the changes that have been occurring in recent weeks. The launch of the Phone Line for example ..! Secondly for the reduction in posts in recent weeks ... that is something completely unavoidable with the volume of work I am now undertaking. Yes, I am really busy ... and there is only one of me to maintain A Light In The Darkness. I have to let you know that July 2011 is going to be just the same ... soz! From tomorrow actually ... I'm 'on tour' once more this weekend; attending Spirit Fest at Leeton NSW. I am also partaking in a live evening of Mediumship tomorrow night prior to the show ... with a good friend of ours. Then its a flat out two days attending the Spirit Fest Expo ... undertaking readings. So, there will be nobody manning the desk at A Light In The Darkness unless I get chance in the hotel. Mind you the hotel is reputed to be haunted so during the evenings I think we will be undertaking a paranormal investigation or two. So watch this space for more phenomenon photos!

So regulars, please bear with me ... I have been inundated with e-mail & facebook requests to resume Daily Merlins. I fully intend to begin undertaking them once more ... as I know something significant is about to unfold in that saga. So again please watch this space with regard to that quarter.

For me this month has flown by, and its onwards and upwards despite several hurdles to overcome and the apparent jealousy from a number of egos in the mystical field. I've experienced similar things for the last twenty five years and recall what an old clairvoyant friend of mine once said ... 'you can tell how far you've travelled and how much you have grown in this field by the number of enemies you make' ... believe me I seem at times to be surrounded by them!!! Many swords of damocles hang above me ... which is a shame as I am not in this to be rich or famous. I am in this field to help people and to share what I have learned. If souls cannot accept that unconditional love then they should not be in this field!!! That's my opinion on the matter!

One of the most challenging experiences over the last few weeks has been my five appearance on live TV!!! Psychic TV here in Australia ... I am due to appear again shortly and have submitted my provisional list of available dates for the next few months.

Just a reminder, before I go ... as I want to keep this review short and sweet ... there will be several days between now and August where there will be no posts due to my increased workload at this time!!! Please accept that I will be adding more adverts relating to the Phone Line. For me it is a new business venture and I need therefore to advertise it!!! It's part and parcel of my business now which I must nurture .... we all must make ends meet somehow. It's a new dimension for me to explore ... even though I have been undertaking phone readings now for over two decades. I enjoy the challenge of phone readings ... having to link with a voice vibration and provide validatory information for the caller. I do not draw out the readings to 'make money' ... people who call me will tell you that the entire reading contains concise and validatory information ... which begins from the moment I start the call ... there is no advertising or filler conversation to waste time!!!

Monthly Review ... for June 2010

June 2010 will always be associated with the disallowed goal and the 'psychic octopus' which predicted England's downfall at the hands of the Germans. It seemed the referee and the linesman were the only ones in the stadium that hadn't seen just how clearly Frank Lampard had equalised for England.

June 2010 will also be remembered for the ongoing tragedy unfolding in the Gulf Of Mexico with the BP oil spill which has more than a hint of 'conspiracy' to the story.

On a more personal level it was during this month that a visit to the Gold Coast was undertaken to participate in the rather excellent Lisa William's Weekend Workshop. Blackpool FC no longer have to pinch themselves after seeing themselves included in the fixture lists ... on a personal level it is a dream come true. And finally ... it is the time of the year once more for Crop Circles. Intricate and mysterious ... they are appearing once more in the UK.

Better Late Than Never ... !!!

Ooops ...! In the excitement of the last two weeks, I've forgotten to do a Monthly Review for May 2010. It's no big deal. No big deal at all. As I will swiftly brush that shortcoming under the carpet and move on ... and make sure I do a review of June 2010. May 2010 had three major events though ... the sad passing of rock legend Ronnie James Dio; the awful oil spill in the USA & the promotion of my home team Blackpool to the English Premiership ... the first and the last events having major effects in my life. RJD was one of my music icons ... I'd listened to his magical vocals for over 30 years. He'd shaped my life with his wonder anthems ... and the week when he sadly passed was awful. Terrible. I never knew the guy, but I felt a best mate had left the earth plane. At the other end of the week was a completely opposite emotion ... I watched the Championship Final live and could not believe my eyes when the final whistle was blown and Blackpool has done it ... they'd achieved the impossible ... and my somewhat wacky prediction earlier in the year (Kristine will verify it and others) ... that Blackpool would be in the Prem next season, had come true. It was a very notable week. It still effects me ... as RJD songs still play on my IPod and I still come to terms with his sad loss. The oil spill which is still current even now ... sadly ... has alerted by (sixth) senses with is problem-reaction-solution characteristics. It is an appalling display of a conspiracy taking place. It is a deliberate act for sure ... to what gain I have not yet calculated. But it is something being deliberately made to be prolonged. Why?

June 2010 already has a major event to be included in the June review. Lisa Williams at the weekend and her sensational workshop. Her passion for teaching is phenomenal. I know ... I experienced it first hand, sitting in the 1000+ audience, feeling she was talking to me directly. Her simple, yet effective techniques, were inspirational ... enabling me to open Pandora's Box with refound confidence. Techniques which I've embraced as they do work. I witnessed people first hand who'd never delivered a message before ... who in the practical sessions were suddenly passing on stunning pieces of information! There were literally dozens of similar stories of people finding themselves suddenly clairvoyant and mediumistic ... all thanks to Lisa Williams and her phenomenal energy! The atmosphere in the hall was stunning ... she captured all our hearts ... and at the end of the weekend she gained a loud standing ovation for her dedication, her efforts and her caring for each of us there. The other event was the Norway-Spiral over the Gold Coast on Saturday morning. It really was a spectacle and there is no way it was a rocket being fired from the USA! There was no 'head' to the cloud, so that theory is bollocks! More reviewing later ... but this time I won't be distracted --- MJ

A Week Away ...

...from the first 'Monthly Review' .... all the significant events featured on A Light In The Darkness during the month of May 2010 ... a look back at the events from a personal perspective. There have been two key events in the last week which have had the biggest impact on me personally ... the sad loss of Ronnie James Dio and the sheer ecstasy of Blackpool Football Club reaching the English Premiership against all the odds. It's resulted in a very strange week ... being tremendously sad at the loss of a singer who's been a icon of mine since I first listened to 'Stargazer' when the Rising album was first released in the 80's. Ever since that moment RJD has been a part of my life. Then on the other hand, I've followed Blackpool for over 30 years ... and the ups and downs of The Seasiders has been an integral part of my life. The euphoria and the joy of the last 48 hours has been incredible. More about these stories and others in the very near future ...
