Silenced in Starmer’s ‘Free Speech Britain’?

I’m sure we were all very proud of our PM when he informed Donald Trump that we’ve had free speech in Britain for a long time and that we would continue to have free speech in the future. But that hasn’t been my recent experience. Moreover I suspect that many other people are also falling foul of what appears to be an increasing climate of censorship of any views which contradict the official Government narrative.

I’ve had a YouTube video channel for more than eight years without ever having had any problems. I have used my channel to post occasional videos usually based on my current affairs books. So I’ve covered subjects such as Gordon Brown’s financial incontinence, foreign aid waste, our bloated charity industry, ever-rising knife crime in London, the pointlessness of many university degrees and, most recently, the supposed ‘Global Boiling Climate Crisis’.

In the last couple of months I made three short parody videos mocking three members of Keir Starmer’s Government – Starmer himself, Angela Rayner and Rachel Reeves. A week or so ago I tried to upload a fourth video onto YouTube mocking Ed Miliband’s ludicrous Net Zero assault on our country. But I was unable to upload my latest video as YouTube had taken down my whole video channel. So now none of my videos, even those which have been live on YouTube for years, are available. Helpfully YouTube informed me that I could appeal against their decision to ban me and remove all my videos. But, in a rather Kafkaesque situation, I’m not told why I have been banned. The only information I got was a link to all the many reasons why YouTube could remove a video channel. This made it somewhat difficult to appeal against YouTube’s ban as I’ve no idea what violation I am alleged to have committed. However, I did appeal and my appeal was quickly rejected again without any reason being given....<<<Read More>>>...

Far right ’emboldened’ says MP as Starmer faces mounting pressure over immigration

A poll suggested that voters believe the prime minister is failing to grip the problem, despite his government setting out measures to speed up removals.

Sir Keir Starmer faces mounting pressure over the small boats crisis after protests outside asylum hotels continued over the bank holiday weekend.

A poll suggested that voters believe the prime minister is failing to grip the problem, despite his government setting out measures to speed up removals.

It comes as Green Party co-leader Carla Denyer warned that “the far right feels emboldened and validated” by other political parties.

So far this year a record 28,076 people have made the perilous journey across the English Channel in small boats, 46% more than in the same period in 2024.

Like many other European countries, immigration has increasingly become a flashpoint in recent years as the UK deals with an influx of people fleeing war-torn and poorer countries seeking a better life.

Official figures released earlier this month showed a total of 111,084 people applied for asylum in the UK in the year to June 2025, the highest number for any 12-month period since current records began in 2001.

There were 32,059 asylum seekers in UK hotels by the end of the same month.

Protests and counterprotests at sites housing asylum seekers continued over the weekend and the government is braced for further legal fights over the use of hotels....<<<Read More>>>....

Opinion: History will not remember Keir Starmer kindly … if it remembers him at all

Claire Bullivan criticises UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his awkward presence on the world stage, lacking charisma and conviction. He is ineffective in international meetings, including with US President Donald Trump, and is overshadowed by other leaders such as Boris Johnson.

Bullivan questions Starmer’s legitimacy as Prime Minister, noting that he did not win a majority of votes and is governing by default. She calls for his removal due to his perceived mediocrity and inability to lead the country effectively.

There he is again, Keir Starmer, our “Prime Minister,” standing awkwardly on the world stage like the substitute teacher no one listens to, arms hanging like spare parts, and mumbling more waffle than a Waffle House menu.

Watching him is a national humiliation. He looks like an awkward councillor from Croydon who’s wandered into the UN General Assembly by mistake and hasn’t the courage to leave.

We are told he was once a barrister. Really? One wonders if he simply read everything off a sheet of paper while hoping the judge was half-asleep. The idea that this man once convinced a jury of anything beyond what sandwich to order is laughable. Zero charisma. Zero enthusiasm. Zero presence. A man whose speeches sound like they’ve been run through a blender set to “beige purée.”

And now, hilariously, he’s co-chairing a so-called “coalition of the willing” meeting to update allies on White House talks with Donald Trump. Lol, indeed. Trump, who terrifies Starmer so much he quakes in his boots and turns crimson. And the most embarrassing part? Watching Trump swat his quivering pleas aside like a fly buzzing around his Diet Coke....<<<Read More>>>...

Censored in Starmer’s ‘Free Speech Britain’?

Our PM, Comrade Keir Starmer, keeps claiming that free speech is protected in Britain. But that is not my experience. Moreover, I suspect that many other people are also falling foul of what appears to be an increasing climate of censorship of any views which contradict the official government narrative.

I’ve had a YouTube video channel for more than eight years without ever having had any problems. I have used my channel to post occasional videos, usually based on my current affairs books. So I have covered subjects such as foreign aid waste, our bloated charity industry, ever-rising knife crime in London, the rise and rise of Dame Cressida Dick, the pointlessness of many university degrees and, most recently, the supposed ‘Global Boiling Climate Crisis’.

In the last couple of months I made three short parody videos mocking three members of Keir Starmer’s government – Starmer himself, Angela Rayner and Rachel Reeves. This has led to YouTube taking down my whole video channel. So now none of my videos, even those which have been on YouTube for years, are available. Helpfully, YouTube informs me that I can appeal against their decision to ban me and remove all my videos. But in a rather Kafkaesque situation, I am not told why I have been banned. This makes it somewhat difficult to appeal against YouTube’s ban, as I have no idea what crime I am alleged to have committed. However, this perhaps gives a good idea of what life is becoming like in Starmer’s ‘free speech Britain’. This situation will no doubt become even worse once the Online Safety Act comes into law. Probably many more people will be found to be ‘guilty’ of thought and speech crimes without being told what they are actually guilty of....<<<Read More>>>...

Keir Starmer’s unrestrained war on freedom of speech continues

A year after the Southport massacre, state-sponsored censorship has worsened under Keir Starmer’s government. The Online Safety Act is being used to censor content critical of government immigration policy and the concerns over two-tier justice are growing.

As I wrote a year ago, the Southport massacre was a checkmate for the multiculturalists:

Southport is the end of the line for me, I’m afraid. I refuse to play this game any longer. So “No” Prime Minister Starmer, you do not speak for me – I am not remotely “shocked” that the caravan of mass slaughter has made an unscheduled stop in Southport. “Au contraire,” your Majesties, I do not find it difficult to “imagine what the families, friends and loved ones are going through” (and doubtless, given time, neither will the rest of you). And it’s “Uh-uh” to you too, Home Secretary Cooper, my “thoughts and prayers” already have a prior engagement; resigned to the hope that the “refugees welcome” conniving bastards like you are one day held accountable for the blood on your hands. I’m sick of it all, but mostly I’m sick of the innocent picking up the bar tab for the multicultural piss-up they were denied entry to.

A year ago, I thought the situation couldn’t possibly get any worse. But then, like many frustrated Cassandras, it’s difficult to be sufficiently doom-mongering about the Starmer administration – a government whose Midas-like 174-seat majority still winds up turning everything to shit.

Announcing a public inquiry at the start of this year, Keir Starmer promised that Southport would be “a line in the sand” and that “nothing would be off the table”. And yet, the current situation is, unthinkably, worse. Under Starmer’s watch, from January to June 2025, there were around 20,000 small boat crossings – the highest ever number for this period, and 48% more than the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, thousands of Afghans have been secretly smuggled to Britain (some of them undoubtedly jihadists), after concerns for their safety following a Ministry of Defence data leak. Not to worry, says the Taliban, we’ll come and kill them over there. Keir Starmer may have been a human rights lawyer, but the human rights of British people, clearly, do not feature heavily in his statute book....<<<Read More>>>....

Protesters in Epping ‘want their voices heard’ and ‘won’t stop’ until migrant hotel is closed as ‘two tier’ Starmer starts snooping on social posts

Hundreds of protesters have descended on a hotel at the centre of an anti-migrant storm as demonstrations continue to spread across the country.

Over 1,000 are expected outside The Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, amid a growing clamour for it to be closed after an Ethiopian asylum seeker staying there was charged with sexually assaulting a schoolgirl days after arriving in the UK.

Police have thrown a huge ring of steel around the hotel, while officers from forces including Merseyside, Surrey, Lancashire, the City of London and Sussex have been drafted in to the market town support Essex Police....<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer Gives Children the Vote: 16 Year-Olds to Vote Despite “Rigging” Claims and Half of Teens Opposing the Move

Keir Starmer is to give children the vote as he lowers the voting age to 16 at the next General Election, despite claims that it’s “rigging” the result and half of teens themselves opposing the move. The Mail has more.

Ministers today unveiled plans they said would “modernise our democracy” by widening the franchise to bring national elections in line with those held in Scotland and Wales.

But the move, a manifesto pledge from the party, has been criticised as a cynical ploy since a large proportion of young voters support Labour.

In a blow to the party, however, it has emerged that almost half of teenagers do not even want to be given the vote.

In a poll, some 49% of those questioned said they disagreed with the move. Only a few more of the 500 youths questioned by Merlin Strategy, 51%, backed Labour’s proposal.

In addition, only 18% of the 16 and 17 year-olds polled said they would definitely cast a ballot if there was an election tomorrow – with 13% saying they would not take part.

But of those who would vote, 33% would back Labour, the highest support for any party.

Sir Keir Starmer told ITV News: ‘I think it’s really important that 16 and 17 year-olds have the vote, because they are old enough to go out to work, they are old enough to pay taxes, so pay in.

“And I think if you pay in, you should have the opportunity to say what you want your money spent on, which way the Government should go.”

But a Tory source said: “This is bare-faced ballot box stuffing. It’s a sign of desperation this failing Labour government is resorting to underhand tactics and rigging extra votes to try and cling on to power for longer.'”...<<<Read More>>>...

Macron Blames Starmer for Migrant Crisis

The French President believes the UK bears the blame for record numbers of small boats crossing the Channel and has three key demands to reduce its ‘pull factors’.

Mr Macron, who arrived in Britain on Tuesday for the first state visit by a European head of state since Brexit, was due to announce the new agreement with the Prime Minister at an Anglo-French summit on Thursday.

A deal with Paris would allow Britain to legally return illegal Channel migrants to France for the first time since Brexit.

But Sir Keir is scrambling to rescue the pact after five EU member states bearing the brunt of European arrivals raised concerns that a deal would see them forced to take more migrants.

The Telegraph understands that Mr Macron wants Sir Keir to crack down on the UK’s black market for labour and welfare payments and make family reunification for genuine asylum seekers easier as conditions for the deal.

An Elysée source warned that Mr Macron expected measures “addressing the root causes of the factors that attract people to the United Kingdom”, adding: “These causes must also be addressed by the British.”

They added that France would be willing to discuss ways to stop more small boats leaving its shores during the Anglo-French summit on Thursday.

Mr Macron’s allies have said the ease in which migrants can get under-the-table employment means Britain is viewed as “an El Dorado” – a city of riches, where it is easy to work. …<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer’s Migrant Deal on Life Support as EU Intervenes

Sir Keir Starmer is battling to save a one in, one out migrant returns deal with France ahead of a state visit to the UK by Emmanuel Macron starting on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister and French President have been working on an agreement under which France would take back migrants, who have illegally crossed the Channel in small boats, in return for the UK accepting a similar number of asylum seekers from France.

It had been intended as a centrepiece of an Anglo-French summit on Thursday primarily aimed at tackling the small boats crisis.

Record numbers of migrants have crossed the Channel this year. More are expected to cross this week with temperatures set to hit the low 30s from Wednesday.

But on Monday night, government sources said the deal was “complex” and “in the balance”, with negotiations still ongoing.

Last month, Italy, Spain, Greece, Malta and Cyprus wrote to the European Commission expressing concern that the ‘one in, one out’ deal could mean they would face an influx of deported migrants.

Under the EU’s Dublin agreement, migrants can be sent back to the EU country where they first landed.

“We take note – with a degree of surprise – of the reported intention of France to sign a bilateral readmission arrangement,” their letter read.

“If confirmed, such an initiative raises serious concerns for us, both procedurally and in terms of potential implications for other member states, particularly those of first entry. We believe it is essential to clarify whether the agreement may produce any direct or indirect consequences for other member states.”

The European Commission has asked for clarification on the agreement from Paris and London in order to reassure the five southern nations.

However, sources said it was minded to be helpful as the EU and the UK pledged to work on “practical and innovative approaches” to reduce irregular migration as part of the “reset” agreement signed in May.

Brussels needs to check the deal to see if it meets the spirit and letter of EU law. A European Commission spokesman said: “We are in contact with the French and the UK authorities to ensure the necessary clarifications are made.”...<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer has signed up to the UN’s agreement to raise taxes in the UK

On Saturday, The Telegraph published the article ‘Starmer endorses UN’s high-tax manifesto’ about the UK government endorsing the United Nations’ Sevilla Commitment, a global agreement that promotes higher taxes on the wealthy, alcohol and fossil fuels.

Essentially, the UN is attempting to fund its nefarious Agenda 2030 and its Sustainable Development Goals through domestic taxes.

According to The Telegraph, the UK government, led by Sir Keir Starmer, has endorsed the United Nations’ (“UN’s”) Sevilla Commitment, a global agreement that calls for greater environmental levies and “gender-responsive taxation.” The Conservative Party has criticised it for potentially making it harder for a future government to reverse Labour’s tax rises.

The agreement, signed by 192 countries at a summit in Seville, Spain, contains 42 references to taxation, including specific mentions of taxes on “high net-worth individuals,” tobacco, alcohol, natural resources and pollution, as well as promoting higher taxes on unhealthy products such as sugary drinks....<<<Read More>>>...

The UK’s Crisis Point is Fast Approaching

British viewers of Prime Minister’s Questions yesterday were treated to the spectacle of the Chancellor of the Exchequer visibly weeping as she glared, like a wronged spouse, at her boss, Sir Keir Starmer, from the front bench of the House of Commons.

We’ll come to the bigger story behind this image in due course, but the ‘optics’ of the moment, as the SpAds would put it, were too precious and too apposite not to memorialise. This is the nakedly visible representation not just of an individual in a spot of bother, but of an entire political order coming to an end. While all developed states are heading for economic, political, moral and spiritual crises, Britain is the leader of the pack. Its governing regime, the structure by which the ‘some’ have ruled the ‘many’ since 1997, is clapped out and beyond rescue. It has no ideas and it has, to use that old Match of the Day-ism, lost the dressing room. And one can almost see this realisation in Reeves’ expression – even while recognising that she may have had more personal reasons for her tears.

The reason why it is Britain that is at the cutting edge of global decline is that it is Britain that has most thoroughly embraced what Leo Strauss called ‘political hedonism’, meaning, essentially, the politicisation of the idea that the good is synonymous with the absence of displeasure....<<<Read More>>>...

Reeves in Tears as Starmer Refuses to Guarantee She Will Stay in Job

Chancellor Rachel Reeves was visibly in tears during Prime Minister’s Questions today as Sir Keir Starmer refused to guarantee she would remain in role following last night’s welfare reform humiliation. The Telegraph has more.

Sir Keir Starmer failed to repeat a guarantee that Rachel Reeves will remain in her role as Chancellor for the whole of Labour’s first term in power as the Prime Minister remained under huge pressure over his welfare bill climbdown.

Kemi Badenoch took aim at a visibly emotional Ms Reeves during Prime Minister’s Questions and labelled the Chancellor a “human shield” for Sir Keir’s “incompetence”.

The Chancellor could be seen wiping tears from her face during PMQs although the exact reason why was not immediately clear.

Downing Street promised in January this year that Ms Reeves would remain as Chancellor for the duration of the five year parliament.

Mrs Badenoch asked Sir Keir to repeat the commitment.

Gesturing towards Ms Reeves, the Tory leader said: “She looks absolutely miserable. She looks absolutely miserable. Labour MPs are going on the record saying that the Chancellor is toast and the reality is that she is a human shield for his incompetence.

“In January he said that she would be in post until the next election. Will she really?”

Sir Keir said: “She certainly won’t [directed at Mrs Badenoch]. I have to say I am always cheered up when she asks me questions or responds to a statement because she always makes a complete mess of it and shows just how unserious and irrelevant they are.”

Mrs Badenoch then noted that Sir Keir had not guaranteed his Chancellor’s future.

“How awful for the Chancellor that he couldn’t confirm that she will stay in place,” she said....<<<Read More>>>...

Benefits Bill Will Rise by £8 Billion Even if Starmer Defeats Rebels, Warns IFS

Britain’s benefits bill will rise by a further £8 billion even if Sir Keir Starmer defeats Labour rebels on his flagship welfare reforms, the Institute for Fiscal Studies has warned. The Telegraph has the story.

Spending on health-related benefits for working-age adults is expected to hit £61 billion by the end of the decade, the analysts said, regardless of the Prime Minister’s planned cuts.

This is up from £36 billion in 2019-20, reflecting the surge in welfare claims post-Covid.

Without the reforms, the IFS said the welfare bill would be on track to reach £66 billion.

This latest analysis highlights how Sir Keir’s planned welfare cuts, which have provoked a mass rebellion from Left-wing MPs, will do little to stem the growth of Britain’s benefits costs.

As part of its research, the IFS found that the number of people claiming disability benefits is also set to surge from 3.1 million to 3.9 million by 2030, despite efforts to tighten up the criteria.

Stricter rules are set to include toughening up eligibility requirements for personal independent payments (PIP) and limiting health-related top-up instalments for Universal Credit.

Not really a cut, then, more a slightly slower rise....<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer Slashes Net Zero Taxes to Save Britain’s Industries

Net Zero taxes will be slashed by up to 25% for thousands of manufacturers as Keir Starmer scrambles to save British industry from electricity costs that are the highest of any developed country. The Telegraph has more.

As part of the Government’s long-awaited Industrial Strategy, the Prime Minister is to cut power bills by up to 25% for some 7,000 “electricity intensive” manufacturers, including car makers, aircraft factories and chemical plants.

From 2027, they will no longer have to pay the Net Zero levies that are normally added to their power bills, such as the renewables obligation, the feed-in-tariff and capacity market charges.

This will be paid for by financial reforms to the energy market and a raid on companies that burn natural gas, through higher carbon taxes, the Government said.

However, the support was at risk of being diluted on Sunday as Iran’s threat to cut off a vital oil and gas supply route in the Middle East risked sending energy prices around the globe soaring.

It comes after repeated warnings that British manufacturers are labouring under the highest industrial electricity prices of any developed country, with output down by a third since 2021.

Sir Keir’s announcement was welcomed by manufacturers, including Derby-based Rolls Royce, as a “giant and much needed step forward”.

The Prime Minister said: “This Industrial Strategy marks a turning point for Britain’s economy and a clear break from the short-termism and sticking plasters of the past.

“In an era of global economic instability, it delivers the long term certainty and direction British businesses need to invest, innovate and create good jobs that put more money in people’s pockets as part of the plan for change.

“Our message is clear – Britain is back and open for business.”...<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer to Count Rural Broadband as Defence Spending to Get Round NATO Rules

Keir Starmer is set to count rural broadband and Heathrow’s third runway as defence spending to circumvent NATO rules as the Government makes plans to redraw the definition of national security. The Telegraph has the story.

The Government’s national security review, due to be published before a NATO summit next week, will expand the definition to include economic stability, food prices, supply chains, crime and the internet.

It could allow the UK to hit NATO’s new defence spending target of 5% of GDP without committing any further public money.

Mark Rutte, NATO’s Secretary General, has proposed member states spend 3.5% on core defence activities and a further 1.5% on related infrastructure.

Ministers are considering meeting the latter target by spending money on roads, strengthening bridges and increasing runway capacity, the Telegraph understands.

Cyber, energy and telecommunications security projects will also be offset against the goal.

While NATO countries will still be required to hit 3.5% of core defence spending each year – far higher than Sir Keir’s current pledge of 3% by the next Parliament – the additional 1.5% will come from other budgets....<<<Read More>>>....

No Tussauds waxwork for Starmer over fears he won’t be relevant in five years

Madame Tussauds has revealed it will not be making a waxwork of Keir Starmer – as they can’t be sure he’ll be relevant for long enough.

Until recently, the popular London attraction made a model of almost every British Prime Minister and placed them beside a replica of the famous door to Number 10 Downing Street.

But after a rapid succession of leaders in the past few years, that tradition appears to have come to an end.

A spokesperson for Madame Tussauds told Metro: ‘We have no current plans to make a figure of the British Prime Minister.

‘As is the case with the world of modern celebrity, the political landscape is fast-moving and unpredictable, so we really have to consider our figure choices carefully.

‘It can take up to a year for us to create a figure – from initial measurements to the unveil on attraction floor – so we expect each one to remain popular and relevant with the public for five to ten years.’

Downing Street declined to comment, saying the decision is a ‘matter for Madame Tussauds’...<<<Read More>>>....

Chilling threats by hostile states to our energy, food supply and way of life – as defence overhaul aims to get Britain ‘war ready’ (Dad’s Army comes to mind)

A blueprint to get Britain ‘war ready’ to fight Vladimir Putin has revealed this country’s vulnerabilities in the event of a major conflict.

The Strategic Defence Review (SDR), published today, includes a chilling list of the potential effects on the UK’s way of life. But, despite these threats, top brass are expected to save money.

The SDR, which has recommended an overhaul of the UK’s Armed Forces, also lays bare Britain’s overseas dependencies and threats.

In the event of war, Britain would be subject to attacks on its military bases at home and abroad, long-range drone and cruise missile sorties, cyber-attacks crippling national infrastructure and disruptions to economic interests and international trade routes.

The report reveals 95 per cent of the UK’s data is carried by undersea cables that are vulnerable to attack, and Britain relies on imports for 46 per cent of its food.

It says: ‘Undersea pipelines and data cables are critical for sustaining daily national life. The maritime domain is increasingly vulnerable. The Royal Navy must be prepared to deter maritime incidents similar to the sabotage of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and the cutting of undersea data cables in UK and international waters’.

In recent years as much as 77 per cent of the UK’s gas imports have come from Norway. So, if the Nordic state was compromised, Britain’s energy supplies would be cut....<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer’s EU Reset Tethers the UK to the EU’s Green Dystopia

When Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced the UK-EU ‘reset’ deal on Monday, the Prime Minister said that “Britain is back on the world stage”. As Ben Habib opined in an interview, the “massive smile” of von der Leyen at the conclusion of the UK-EU summit could only mean that the UK was “taken to the cleaners”.

Speaking of the furious backlash across swathes of British communities of farmers, fishermen and the majority who voted for Brexit in 2016, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson observed in a brutal retort that “Britain will once again be paying countless millions of pounds into EU coffers for the privilege of becoming the non-voting punk of the European community”....<<<Read More>>>...
