Vital evidence in the Madeleine McCann investigation was destroyed by her family and well-wishers in the hours after her abduction, police say. More than 20 people crammed into the holiday apartment where she was snatched in the chaotic hours after her disappearance. Officers in Portugal say the well-meaning actions which may have destroyed forensic evidence could prove "fatal". A friend of Madeleine's parents Gerry and Kate said the comments were "very unhelpful" even if they were true. The couple were said to be "dismayed" by the remarks. The source said: "It's insensitive at the very least. Of course the family are going to search the apartment. If your child goes missing, you search under the beds, in the wardrobes, behind the doors, everywhere."
This is a cruel statement made by the Portugese Police in my opinion. A 'get out' ... passing the buck onto the McCanns for their own failings in the investigation. It is the Portugese Police who have made the errors and the blunders, for whatever reason; not the McCann family and friends! Don't they realise the effect this statement will have on Kate & Gerry McCann? It is very insensitive ...

Two images of conflict and frustration. Everyone appears to be blaming everyone else. Somewhere someone set this domino effect in motion ... a deliberate action ...before stepping back to a safe distance. Not sure where this leads but I intuit arguments & disagreements between family members here. There is a volatile situation. How it reaches the pages of the tabloids --- which is the way joe public gets to hear --- is not clear. A week to ten days from now ... something relating to all of this may surface. Arguments reign still with relation to the unauthorised new's story and its ascension into headline news. Apparently someone in Team Madeleine was aware and gave a primary nod. Sounds defamatory ... but there is conflict in those ranks. That may just make the news. Imagery depicts two warriors in battle with swords --- one has the flaming sword and the other an ordinary sword. Unfair advantage ... someone knows more than the other knows. Influence stretches far ... along these vines information flows and wrong directions are stemmed. It all is due a metamorphosis
