Wild weather is set to continue in New South Wales, with the weather bureau issuing more warnings about flash flooding. Savage winds and torrential rain have caused flooding, evacuations and blackouts along the coast. Sydney Airport has warned that expected winds of more than 30 kilometres an hour are likely to affect some flights. Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service says it has responded to more than 5,000 calls for assistance, including 2,000 in the Hunter region. The weather is being caused by a deep low off the coast of Newcastle.
