Flood death toll rises to 12 as killer tide continues its march

The death toll in the Queensland floods has risen to 12 after the bodies of two men were found this afternoon, as authorities estimate it will take two years and billions of dollars to repair the damage from the worst disaster in a century. The number of people missing in the Toowoomba-Lockyer Valley area has been revised down to 51, with Queensland Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson saying there were still grave concerns for nine people.
