It is too simplified to think that when one is zooming in to a star, it will look steady. Instead, tiny hand movements become extremely magnified, the star light flickers and changes colors due to the chromatic aberration caused by the atmosphere. In each video frame, all of this is integrated/summed up over time by the camera electronics. Then it is easy to think that the optical "phenomenon" is something extraordinary. We don't know for certain that this is the the case in this video, but it is useful to keep in mind when watching any UFO videos on the web, and trying to discern the real phenomenon from the noise....read more...
