Recommended Books: "Choices & Illusion" by Eldon Taylor

'I found this to be a VERY thought provoking read. Some excellent points raised regarding consciousness and mind. Eldon has a unique and humorous writing style that I like. This is one of those books that are hard to put down once you start engaging in the inner dialogue provoked by Eldon's thoughts and images which pop up out of the book. I love his analogies and his comparisons with the everyday life - his way of explaining things are superb. He includes his own life experiences too, to further illustrate what was on his mind at the time he was writing. We also get a peak of the real person in his book. We see Eldon's sense of humour and his own inimitable view on life. In one incident, Eldon recounts the experience of having the side of his car smashed into by an old gentleman with no insurance or driver's licence. Needless to say he saw the funny side, and he used the account to illustrate his 'change of attitude' towards blame; one of the many discussion points in this fabulous book. Personally, Choices & Illusion is very much a reference book and a 'guide to life'. A book I will be revisiting again and again!  ... Matthew James

Praise for Choices and Illusions
Read this book! We are living at a time when people are searching for answers to fundamental questions in their lives. This book can be, if applied, a road map to personal enlightenment and empowerment. I believe it can ‘tune in’ the frequency you are currently operating on. More important, it helps you see that you can manifest change.”
John Edward, psychic medium and author of After Life and Understanding Your Angels and Meeting Your Guides

Your mind is incredibly powerful. You have been brought to this exact moment in your life by your thoughts. In Choices and Illusions, Eldon Taylor offers clear guidelines for changing your life and your choices for the better.” — Caroline Sutherland, best-selling author of The Body Knows

In Choices and Illusions, Eldon Taylor takes us on a delightful and provocative odyssey through the corridors of consciousness. Using solid science, practical spirituality, and common sense, he shows that our perceptions can be changed—and, once different, can catalyze dramatic improvements in our health and well-being.” — Dawson Church, Ph.D., author of The Genie in Your Genes

"Perhaps consciousness is something that has to do with being conscious of consciousness. Are monkeys truly conscious of being conscious? Could they even entertain the idea of consciousness without an object? Or consciousness as a character in someone else’s dream? Does a monkey ask itself if it really exists? Is that a fair direction to take our questions regarding consciousness? After all, are we not likely to be forced to admit the notion of “devolution” if we do?" - Eldon Taylor 'Choices & Illusions'

"As I’ve already noted, our unconscious mind is actually making our decisions—at least most of them! How does it do this? The information we have input throughout our life—all of it, whether from parents, peers, games, television, or any other form of communication, including billboards, print and electronic media, and the like—is what’s in the unconscious. Add to that our experiences, good and bad, and the defense mechanisms that have been built up to protect us, our method of reasoning, our long bags, and so forth—and while adding, remember to allow in your calculations for the fact that humans are herd animals and by nature seek acceptance and operate primarily on the principle of pleasure over pain. Now you are ready to at least approximate the calculus deployed in your unconscious mind for decision making" - Eldon Taylor 'Choices & Illusions'

"Choices & Illusions is a powerful masterpiece. It makes you think about those things that are really important, but which have been stored away in the ‘read later’ file. This book provides you with a wonderful opportunity to contemplate those important matters, now, and in one place" …. Matthew James
