A Word on 'Medicine Walk'

The medicine walk is a day‚s journey upon the face of the earth. It is also a mirror. In it, signs and symbols of your inward journey are reflected. The walk is a distilled form of the vision quest.

During the medicine walk, certain spirits or powers of nature, which typify the nature of your own "medicine power," are attracted by, and reveal themselves to you. With your help, they weave an allegorical or symbolic story which indicates future life direction, your inherent gifts, and the kind of ceremonies that you might perform during a vision quest.

You prepare the night before by packing an emergency kit and a few other items that you might need for a day‚s journey. Inform someone of the location and duration of your walk – in case you do not return. Get a good night's rest. An important dream may arise on this night.

You begin at sunrise and you walk in some natural place. If you must drive, try to get there before dawn. No food is taken on this day -- until after the sun has set. Set forth on a wandering, intuitive course, without consciously attempting to reach any goal. As you wander, keep your eyes open. Be aware if you are feeling "drawn" in any direction or to anything. Listen to and sense the consciousness of all that is around you. Remember to carry water.

The beginning and the end (the thresholds) of your medicine walk must be marked by ceremony. The ceremony may be elaborate or simple, but it must involve your focused attention and your gratitude to your Mother Earth for her teaching and safe-keeping.

At a certain moment on your walk, you will find something -- a symbol of meaning and importance to you. This one thing must return with you and become a symbol of your journey.

Pay special attention to loved ones and friends who call strongly to you as you walk. Some may have already died. Some who call to you are your "spirit guides," teachers, heroes, and helpers, who will watch as you grow and help to strengthen the circle of your purpose.

Ka

Source: Egyptian Myths
In art the ka was portrayed in several ways: a person identical to the person whom it was associated with, as a shadowy figure, as a person with two upraised arms on his head. The hieroglyph for the ka was the shoulders and arms with the arms bent upwards at the elbow, similar to the "touchdown" gesture in American football.

The "ka" is a very complex part of the symbolism in ancient Egyptian mythology and represents several things: the ka is a symbol of the reception of the life powers from each man from the gods, it is the source of these powers, and it is the spiritual double that resides with every man.

The ka as a spiritual double was born with every man and lived on after he died as long as it had a place to live. The ka lived within the body of the individual and therefore needed that body after death. This is why the Egyptians mummified their dead. If the body decomposed, their spiritual double would die and the deceased would lose their chance for eternal life. An Egyptian euphemism for death was "going to one's ka". After death the ka became supreme. Kings thus claimed to have multiple kas. Rameses II announced that he had over 20.

The ka was more than that though. When the ka acted, all was well, both spiritually and materially. Sin was called "an abomination of the ka". The ka could also be seen as the conscience or guide of each individual, urging kindness, quietude, honor and compassion. In images and statues of the ka, they are depicted as their owner in an idealized state of youth, vigour and beauty. The ka is the origin and giver of all the Egyptians saw as desirable, especially eternal life.

Kas resided in the gods as well. Egyptians often placated the kas of the deities in order to receive favours. The divine kas also served as guardians. Osiris was often called the ka of the pyramids.

The god Khnemu who was said to create each man out of clay on his potter's wheel also moulded the ka at the same time.

The Swine Flu “Pandemic”

The new “swine flu” virus was first detected in Mexico on April 23, 2009. A few days later, the US Department of Homeland Security and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) claimed the so-called “Mexican flu” had infected more than 1,000 people with 60 deaths. The novel infectious agent was reported as a hybrid of pig, bird and human flu viruses, including genetic elements from European and Asian swine viruses.

The official name of the virus is Influenza A: subtype H1N1. Most puzzling about this new swine virus is that it has not been detected in pigs or in pig farmers. By May 9, the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared that up to 2 billion people could be infected worldwide if the current epidemic continued to expand with repeated outbreaks. By the end of May, more than 13,500 cases were reported from 48 countries, with 110 deaths, most from the US and Mexico. And flu experts were still arguing whether it was a pandemic or an epidemic.

On April 29, Indonesian Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari, who had previously accused Western governments of making and spreading viruses to boost pharmaceutical profits, said: “I’m not sure whether the virus was genetically engineered but it’s a possibility.”
Two weeks later, Adrian Gibbs, an Australian evolutionary virologist with impeccable academic credentials, shocked the scientific world by suggesting the new strain of swine flu was created in a laboratory using eggs to grow viruses for vaccines, and could have been “accidentally” leaked to the general public. Gibbs, who was on the team behind the development of Tamiflu, came to this conclusion by analysing the genetic blueprint of the virus. Not surprisingly, WHO and the CDC were quick to note there was no evidence for this assertion.
According to a source known to former US National Security Agency official Wayne Madsen, “A top scientist for the United Nations, who has examined the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Africa, as well as HIV/AIDS victims, concluded that H1N1 possesses certain transmission ‘vectors’ that suggest that the new flu strain has been genetically-manufactured as a military biological warfare weapon.”... read more ...

Inspiration For The Day

The world is primarily constituted on the basis of harmony.Everything works in cooperation with something else. Personal relationships are the fertile soilfrom which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows. Put yourself in another's place.Only then will you know why they think and do certain things.Once you understand how quickly people will grant your requests when those requests appeal to their self interest, you can have practically anything you go after. It's through cooperation not conflict, that you'll achieve your greatest success.

WHO Admits to Releasing Pandemic Virus into Population via 'Mock-Up' Vaccines

'The document on the WHO website linked below states that it is common procedure to release pandemic viruses into the population in order to get a jump ahead of the real pandemic, so as to fast track the vaccine for when it is needed.

In Europe, some manufacturers have conducted advance studies using a so-called "mock-up" vaccine. Mock-up vaccines contain an active ingredient for an influenza virus that has not circulated recently in human populations and thus mimics the novelty of a pandemic virus. According to the website, “Such advance studies can greatly expedite regulatory approval".'

Becoming Gods "Human Destiny"

It is clear that we humans here on Earth exist in a physical dimension among many differing dimensions. This would answer the question of why UFOs, Bigfoot, Chupacabra, and other strange sightings suddenly appear and disappear without a trace.

It is the part of the human physical mind which we use that perceives sights, sounds and temperature differences that has been trained throughout the ages to distinguish only the physical realms of our environment rather than experience the freedom of enigmatic, mental and spiritual surroundings as well. We use only a small portion of our brains in conducting our daily lives. This same part of the brain is used in learning which the ability to remember is.

The largest portion of the brain, which is not used but for keeping alive, is the human mind, which is capable of experiencing esoteric surroundings, This part of the brain has a mind of its own, shows sparks of activity every now and then in the form of presenting us with images, and experiences which we do not understand.

Out of Body experiences, Aura Visions, ESP and strange sightings are perceptions we realize when this unused part of the brain becomes active.

As evolution of the human species continues to advance this part of the brain will become more and more active in the coming decades.

People who have never seen a UFO or recollect ever being abducted have been under the influence of higher beings from the cosmos and have only incidents of Sleep Paralysis, Aura Visions and missing moments of time in their memory without associating the incidents with that of a higher intelligence being responsible for the incidents themselves. Our minds are influenced on a daily basis from beings that are so far advanced from us that they have lost the necessity for a physical body and exist on a spiritual level only to become physical when necessary. These beings are the top of the food chain so to speak and are responsible for helping the evolution of a lower species to that of being Godlike.

There are many extraterrestrial civilizations existing in the universe both in and beyond our Milky Way Galaxy that are in every state of evolution known from that of cave dwellers and our present Earth human civilization to that of pure spiritual energy ... Read More ...

Images Of The Day - Mars Anomalies

Some of the 'classic' martian anomalies which have been 'collected' over the months.

An anomaly which is possibly water?

An interesting shape ... but what is it?

No. 34, "The Power of the Great":

"Thunder in heaven above:
The image of The Power of the Great. Thus the superior man does not tread upon paths that do not accord with established order."

A time of Great Power has arrived. Your influence on others can be tremendous. The chief task, therefore, is to use this power wisely. The problem with Great Power is that we are tempted to use it solely for our own benefit, to "get ahead" or "reach the top" – or take control. The Yi reminds us that with Great Power comes great responsibility.

Non-Human Witchcraft Origins?

Source: The Sorceries of Zos taken from Cults of the Shadow

Sorcery and witchcraft are the degenerate offspring of occult traditions with the popular conception of witchcraft, shaped by the anti-Christian manifestations that occurred in the Middle Ages, which is so distorted and so inadequate that to try and interpret the symbols of its mysteries, perverted and debased as they are, without reference to the vastly ancient systems from which they derive is like mistaking the tip of an iceberg for its total mass.

It has been suggested by some authorities that the original witches sprang from a race of Mongol origin of which the Lapps are the sole surviving remnants. This may or may not be so, but these 'mongols' were not human. They were degenerate survivals of a pre-human phase of our planet's history generally- though mistakenly- classified as Atlantean. The characteristic that distinguished them from the others of their kind was the ability to project consciousness into animal forms, and the power they possessed of reifying thought-forms. The bestiaries of all the races of the earth are littered with the results of their sorceries.

They were non-human entities; that is to say they pre-dated the human life- wave on this planet, and their powers- which would today appear unearthly- derived from extra-spatial dimensions. They impregnated the aura of the earth with the magical seed from which the human foetus was ultimately generated.

Arthur Machen was, perhaps, near the truth of the matter when he suggested that the fairies and little people of folklore were decorous devices concealing processes of non-human sorcery repellent to mankind.

Machen, Blackwood, Crowley, Lovecraft, Fortune, and others, frequently used as a theme for their writings the influx of extra-terrestrial powers which have been moulding the history of our planet since time began; that is, since time began for us, for we are only too prone to suppose that we were here first and that we alone are here now, whereas the most ancient occult traditions affirm that we were neither the first nor are we the only ones to people the earth; the Great Old Ones and the Elder Gods find echoes in the myths and legends of all peoples.

A Word On 'Fox Medicine'

Fox is the keeper of the power of invisibility and camouflage, of knowing how to move between the light and the dark, from this world to other realms of existence. Its ability to remain in plain sight and yet unseen, is its greatest power however: No other creature is able to blend in with its surroundings quite as well as Fox can.
People who are strong in Fox medicine yet who are unaware they have this ability may find themselves to be ignored or unseen by others. More than once I have heard such individuals complain " people walk right into me, it's as though I am not there at all!" Those in business who have Fox as a primary totem too frequently find that their marketing methods, no matter how dilligent one is with them, bears little fruit. People pass them over even when the person's business is in plain sight!

Often such folks feel discouraged because no matter what they do, they simply cannot seem to attract anyone's attention. The cure is simple: to connect with the energy that one carries and if needed, to call in the balancing energy of Fox such as Wolf, Dog or Coyote for whom Foxes are prey. To connect with this aspect of Fox medicine, it is important to first acknowledge that this ability to "blend in" is extremely useful.

When facing potentially threatening situations, one can easily blend into the surrounding scenery and thus be passed by unnoticed. If there are people or situations one wants to steer clear of, one can tune into Fox and specify exactly what it is that one is seeking to be unseen by. If one wants to observe a situation or environment to get to the truth of the matter unseen, Fox medicine will allow one to do so. The more specific and conscious one is when working with Fox medicine, the greater the liklihood will be that one will be able to be seen when it is positive and unseen when the situation calls for it. This ability also gives those who carry this energy spectacular abilities in regards to detective type work. Fox people can easily blend in with those around them and for those that are uncomfortable in social situations, Fox medicine can be called upon to help the person feel as they do "belong" with the group they are in because along with the ability to be unseen comes the ability to shapeshift. Star People who feel out of place, no matter what circumstances they find themselves in, can call upon Fox medicine to help them temporarily shapeshift into the feeling of "fitting in".
This ability to be unseen is also invaluable for those who feel they must hide their true selves from " the workaday world". While I am all for educating others when it comes to all things metaphysical, I also understand that there are situations and times when to do so would cause a loss of "integrity" in terms of how one may be viewed by others. Causing such disruptions in one's own life serves no purpose and does nothing to help expand the consciousness of others. Yet what to do when one still wants to use essences, carry stones or work with other metaphysical/healing tools while out in the world of mudane rationality?

There is where Fox medicine can be such a godsend, somehow no one ever notices that rather "odd" pendant you are wearing or sees when you take a few drops from an essence bottle. Unless, they too are open to such things or ready to explore them in some fashion, most folks are simply going to remain unaware that there is anything "different" about you... read more ...

Divide and Conquer - The Rothschilds' Gypsy Strategy

'Apart from Freemasons, and other agents of imperialism, the Rothschilds use their fellow Jews to realize their world government tyranny. And when anti-Semitism results, as it has in Hungary, their strategy is to manufacture another enemy to combat their enemy, in other words, divide-and-conquer.

In Hungary, Rothschild agents are inflaming the one-to-two million-strong Gypsy minority against Hungarians. It is a strategy that patriotic Americans, Canadians and Europeans should be aware of.'

So we're not all going to die of swine flu after all: Chief medical officer reduces death estimates by two-thirds

Deaths from swine flu could be less than half the annual toll from the usual winter flu, it emerged last night.

The news came as an expert accused ministers of an 'alarmist' response to the outbreak. England's chief medical officer Sir Liam Donaldson was forced to admit yesterday that the worst case scenario had been slashed by two thirds from 65,000 deaths to 19,000. After millions were spent on antiviral drugs and telephone hotlines, he revealed the toll could be as low as 3,000 - less than half the number who die in an average flu season.

Even a total of 19,000 deaths would be 2,000 lower than the number who died in the last major seasonal flu epidemic of 1999-2000.

The startling admission comes only weeks after Health Secretary Andy Burnham said there could be as many as 100,000 new swine flu cases a day. In fact it emerged that last week there were now fewer than 650 new cases a day.

Sir Liam is facing growing criticism that he caused panic as the virus turns out to be much milder than originally feared. Yesterday he unveiled new guidance for the NHS, describing a range from 3,000 deaths to a 'worst case scenario' of 19,000 - significantly lower than the 65,000 he warned of in July. (Daily Mail)

Working from Centre

When we are "in the thick of it," overwhelmed by too many things that need our attention, it’s important to remember that we are never given more than we can handle. When life’s challenges make us question this, our best coping mechanism is to follow the reliable and well-known course to our calm centre and anchor ourselves there. It is for these times that we have been practicing regularly, so that our mind, body, and spirit will know how to find the peace within.
Even in the midst of seeming chaos, a deep breath can help us turn within to find the space to work from, the calm at the centre of the storm. Tapping into our inner resources we begin again, bringing our focus to the needs of the present moment. Asking "why?" shifts our energy away from the task at hand. We can seek answers to those questions once we get to the other side of the present challenge.
For now, we accept what is. Once we have collected scattered energy and created space, inspiration will strike, help will arrive, and what seemed impossible will either become possible or we will find it has become unnecessary. The flow of the universe and its perfect order has room to move in our lives when we get ourselves and our extraneous thoughts out of the way. After the thick has become thin again, we have the opportunity to learn from the situation with a better idea of our true capabilities. We can now ask ourselves the "why" questions with the goal of fine-tuning our lives. Perhaps we have taken on more than is ours to do or made commitments out of obligation rather than insight. It could just be the ebb and flow and life, or we may be receiving life lessons on a fast track in preparation for something wonderful to come. But when we have a chance to make new choices, we know the best ones are made when we work from centre.

The Gordian Knot

An exceedingly complicated problem or deadlock.

An intricate knot tied by King Gordius of Phrygia and cut by Alexander the Great with his sword after hearing an oracle promise that whoever could undo it would be the next ruler of Asia.

Another Review: "The Cunning Fox"

Source (Of Daily Merlin Image): 28/10/2007
A second review of the Daily Merlin Insights ... this time one relating to 'The Cunning Fox', so named by the appearance of the 'Page Of Beasts' at the top of the spread with its Fox totem animal. In this image is the sowing of the seeds . 'Seeds of doubt' or 'seeds of deceit' ... for both were relevant as we all found out as the months went by (and still pass by). Another portend perhaps of what was to come? The card on its right is 'dishonesty'. Within the 2nd tier is the 'danger' image reversed ... either there is no discovery of the true plot being unearthed ... or she who it is shaped around is in no danger (the sheath represented in the Universe image perhaps?)

The Page of Fishes ... shows perhaps the custodian of 'the little fish' ... alive and well. The pattern of the crystals ... ?? A knot ... perhaps the 'gordian knot' which has yet to be untied?

There is a strong 'psychometric' connection with impressions around this spread. A sense something key is encrypted within the spread ... .....

A Word On "Galactic Signature"

Source: Dreamspell Portal

Each of us were born on one of the 260 days of the Harmonic Module. The combination of qualities and energies present on the day of your birth are known as your Galactic Signature. Your Galactic Signature consists of the main Signature Kin which is represented by both a Galactic Tone and a Solar Tribe. Your Signature Kin also has 4 influencing factors, the Support, Guide, Challenge and Hidden Kin.

As there are 13 tones and 20 tribes the combination of both of these equals an array of 260 seperate signatures.

Becoming more aware of your Galactic Signature will help you discover and unlock your destiny and align you to your higher purpose as you travel through this earth-born existence.

Mars Anomaly ...

Another anomaly from the Martian surface in negative image ...

This time its suspicious 'light sources' which look like fires, explosions or detonations of some kind ... but remember, there is no life on Mars, so these are natural phenomenon!
The same anomaly light sources in close up ... very clearly these seem like explosions to the right hand side ... do they not?

The Wren (Drui-en)

Of all the birds revered by the Celts the wren was considered the most sacred. In Ireland it was called the Drui-en, or Druid bird; in Welsh the word Dryw signifies both a druid and a wren. Why is it that the Druid is pictured as an apparently nondescript little bird and not as an obviously powerful bird like the eagle?

An answer can be found in a story from the western highlands of Scotland. In a great assembly of all the birds of the air, it was decided that the sovereignty of the feathered tribe should be given to the bird who could fly the highest. The favourite was naturally the eagle, who immediately began his flight toward the sun - fully confident in his ability to win the title of King of the Birds. When he found himself soaring high above all his competitors, he proclaimed in a mighty voice his monarchy over all creatures who had wings. But suddenly, from out of his wings popped the wren, who had hidden himself under the eagle's feathers. He flew a few inches higher and chirped out loudly, 'Birds, look up and behold your king!'

This story shows the wren as a cunning bird, prepared to build on the achievements of others and to mock their pride by outwitting them at the final moment. The Druid was known as the 'cunning man' - the man who can become invisible like the wren, who can travel on the back of the noble eagle to reach his destination, saving himself energy in the process. Being small he is unobtrusive and being small he can enter worlds that bigger people cannot. Being proud makes one unwieldy; being small and humble enables one to slip through the eye of a needle or down the root of a tree.

The Breton Celts go even further in according the wren a key role in their bird-lore: they say that it was the wren who brought fire from heaven, but that as she flew back down to earth her wings began to burn and she had to pass her gift to the robin, whose plumage also burst into flames. The lark then came to the rescue, finally bringing the gift of fire to the world.

The Druid's house is the wren's nest - a place of comfort and safety, for another important symbol in Druidry is the egg. The Druid's Egg, made famous by Pliny's remarks, articulates the idea that in order to grow and change there is required periods of incubation - withdrawing from the world to allow the opportunity to reform in the womb of time. The wren's nest was said to be protected by lightning. Whoever tried to steal wren's eggs or baby wrens would find their house struck by lightning and their hands would shrivel up.

On the Isle of Man a story is told of a fairy-girl or mermaid who lured youths into the sea. One of them threw a spear at her and to avoid it she turned herself into a wren, but she was obliged to assume her own shape on each New Year's Day. On that day she was at the mercy of her hunters who, if they were able, could kill her. A wren's feather became a lucky charm to preserve sailors from drowning and no Manxman would go to sea without one.

The tradition of wren-hunting took place on New Year's Day until the Feast of the Wren was transferred to St. Stephen's Day on December 26th. With this tradition the wren has become a god or king rather than a mermaid - for the wren was hunted and killed in a ritualistic way, enacting the idea that the death of a god bestows strength on his killer, a variant of the belief that in the killing of the old king, his powers will be passed on to his successor.

The wren symbolised wisdom and divinity. It is difficult to actually see a wren. At New Year the apprentice Druid would go out by himself into the countryside in search of hidden wisdom. If he found a wren he would take that as a sign that he would be blessed with inner knowledge in the coming year. Finding a creature small and elusive to the point of invisibility was a metaphor for finding the elusive divinity within all life. (Geocities)

Massachusetts Senate Passes Draconian Flu Pandemic Bill

S. 2028 will be used as a template for legislation in other states. The bill imposes a virtual police state and martial law on Massachusetts at the behest of the governor in the event of a flu pandemic this autumn. It gives the state health commissioner, law enforcement, and medical personnel wide authority to mobilize forces, vaccinate the population, enter private property with no warrants, and even quarantine people against their will in violation of the Constitution.

The bill allows the state to enter property without a search warrant and destroy the property without a court order. It would force in-state health care providers to assist in the performance of vaccination.

The 'telepathy' chip that lets you turn on the TV using the power of thought

A ‘telepathy’ chip that allows people to control computers, televisions and light switches by the power of thought is being developed by British scientists.

The tiny sensor would sit on the surface of the brain, picking up the electrical activity of nerve cells and passing the signal wirelessly to a receiver on the skull. The signal would then be used to control a cursor on a computer screen, operate electronic gadgets or steer an electric wheelchair.

The chip is the brainchild of Dr Jon Spratley, 28, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, who developed a prototype during his PhD at Birmingham University. 'We are just trying to help people with severe communication problems or motor neurone disease - like Dr Stephen Hawking or Christopher Reeve,' he said. 'What we have designed would allow them to control a computer with their thoughts. If they imagine their muscles moving, that could flick a light switch for example. It's an area that is being heavily researched in America but so far all the tests have involved wired sensors. This prototype uses wireless technology to remove the risk of infection and that's the real drive of our work. The eventual aim would be to see these systems fully working so they are available to help patients communicate. That's the future.'

The 1.3mm 'multi-contact brain probe' has yet to be tested on a living person or animal. However, tests on brain slices in a laboratory have been promising. Earlier this year, Japanese researchers unveiled a wheelchair powered by brainwaves. The user wears a cap fitted with electrodes that monitor brain activity.

Scientists have also developed a robotic arm controlled by thought. In tests, monkeys were able to feed themselves using the mechanical limb. Dr Spratley's invention is a tiny sensor designed to be injected by needle into the brain. The chip has 50 'contact spikes' that connect to nerve cells in the brain. As the needle is withdrawn, four coil antennae - each just 1mm across - are unfurled on the surface of the brain. These communicate wirelessly with a 'base station' - a 16mm diameter receiver that is permanently placed in the hole left by the needle.

The device picks up neural signals from the brain's motor cortex and transmits the impulses via the base station to a receiver connected to a computer. Dr Spratley said just seven unique 'thought commands' are needed to provide mouse-like controls for a computer. (Daily Mail)

Choose Your Words

The word failure puts forward a very simplistic way of thinking that allows for only two possibilities: failure or success. Few things in the universe are black and white, yet much of our language reads as if they are. The word failure signifies a paradigm in which all subtlety is lost. When we regard something we have done, or ourselves, as a failure, we lose our ability to see the truth, which is no doubt considerably more complex.
In addition, we hurt ourselves. All you have to do is speak or read the word failure and see how it makes you feel. At some point, the word may not have been so loaded with the weight of negativity, and it simply referred to something that did not go according to plan. Unfortunately, in our culture it is often used very negatively, such as when a person is labelled a failure, even though it is impossible for something as vast and subtle as a human being to be reduced in such a way. It also acts as a deterrent, scaring us from taking risks for fear of failure. It has somehow come to represent the worst possible outcome. Failure is a word so burdened with fearful and unconscious energy that we can all benefit from consciously examining our use of it, because the language we use influences the way we think and feel.
Next time you feel like a failure or fear failure, know that you are under the influence of an outmoded way of perceiving the world. When the world failure comes up, it’s a call for us to apply a more enlightened consciousness to the matter at hand. When you are consciously aware of the word and its baggage you will not fall victim to its darkness. In your own use of language, you may choose to stop using the word failure altogether. This might encourage you to articulate more clearly the truth of the situation, opening your mind to subtleties and possibilities the word failure would never have allowed.

Question Me: "Is She Still Alive?"

One of the most asked e-mail questions in recent times, especially in the light of a dramatic turnaround elsewhere on the net, has been 'do you still think Madeleine McCann is alive ... please post something on the blog to answer this' ... so many people have asked this same question. I have only one thing to say in response..."YES. I still firmly believe Madeleine McCann is alive and well. Nothing has changed in my stance. I still sense she will be eventually returned to Kate & Gerry. It is a frustrating period in the situation. So near, yet so far ... hopes lifted then dashed. Delays and goal posts shifting ... "

"Silent Running" ... retracing steps

Source (of Daily Merlin Spread): 29/11/2007

The mystery continues its familiar 'silent running' ... with the circles within circles growing tighter and tighter as time moves by. With the mystery shaped by so much speculation it is very difficult, on face value, to know what is going on ... and if anything is occurring behind the scenes. With insight and instinct heightening once more, there is a sense of movement once more. A vibration of slightest change ... thus, it is deemed necessary at this point to look back over the months at the numerous Daily Merlin Insights and the patterns made during the castings. Instinct has chosen the pattern shown on the right as the first point in this journey. The intention is to recover inspirations ... and establish a strong connection once more.

The significant images here are the King Of Birds (the ruler of the suit of communications) and The Chariot. Another significance is the one lone crystal away from the eight at the centre of the image. The lone crystal is that which the pied piper (The Chariot - the rumour mill entrusted with serving out disinformation) has been 'employed' to distract all eyes from. The lone crystal is the true story and the true reason behind the disappearance. Too much attention has been drawn to that which has caught the naive eyes and minds ... the spread appears to warn of the deceptions and false trails which we've all become accustomed to over the months ...

A Word on 'Swine Flu'

The H1N1 virus is spreading from person-to-person, probably in much the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. In fact, the CDC estimates that 100 million people will have been mildly infected with the H1N1 virus by the end of the summer.

Based on the idea that exposure to a virus will cause the development of immunity to the virus, doesn’t it seem as though these same people would have developed a natural immunity to the virus? That is the basic theory behind vaccinations. So why is there a rush to implement a massive vaccination program?

Follow the money. The U.S. government has already spent over $1.8 billion dollars (our tax dollars) in purchasing vaccine antigen, virus and adjuvant from five pharmaceutical companies. So what did the government buy with our money, who got it and how much did they receive?

That’s an incredible amount of money to spend. What is an adjuvant? An adjuvant is a substance that is added to the vaccine to improve the immune response. The adjuvants our government has purchased are: AS03, AS04 and MF-59.

MF-59 is an oil based adjuvant that contains squalene. Squalene is a highly inflammatory substance that been shown to induce hyperimmune responses. It is this hyperimmune response that causes problems. Studies in humans given from 10 to 20 ppb (parts per billion) of squalene showed severe immune system impact and development of autoimmune disorders.

Squalene in vaccines has been strongly linked to the Gulf War Syndrome. This remains a controversial subject and is related to the anthrax vaccine given to the military. One study found that deployed Persian Gulf War Syndrome patients were significantly more likely to have squalene antibodies (95 percent) than asymptomatic Gulf War veterans. This raises the possibility that squalene was used in the anthrax vaccine given to soldiers prior to deployment in the Persian Gulf War to better induce immunity. In August 1991, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs admitted that soldiers vaccinated with the anthrax vaccine from 1990 to 1991 had an increased risk of 200 percent in developing the deadly disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. The soldiers also suffered from a number of debilitating and life-shortening diseases, such as polyarteritis nodosa, multiple sclerosis (MS), lupus, transverse myelitis (a neurological disorder caused by inflammation of the spinal cord), endocarditis (inflammation of the heart’s inner lining), optic neuritis with blindness and glomerulonephritis (a type of kidney disease). These can all be considered autoimmune diseases.

AS03 and AS04 are proprietary adjuvants of GlaxoSmithKline. It is very difficult to find any useful information about them. What I can tell you is that these adjuvants both contain aluminum.

Aluminum is neurotoxic even in minute amounts. The Academy of Pediatrics implicates aluminum in autoimmune conditions. These conditions include chronic fatigue syndrome and macrophagic myofasciitis. Macrophagic myofasciitis is a condition that causes profound weakness and multiple neurologic symptoms. Aluminum hydroxide is known to potently stimulate the immune system and to shift immune responses towards an inflammatory profile.7 Both the CDC and WHO are aware that aluminum is dangerous. It has also been suggested that aluminum toxicity is the real problem behind autism, SIDS and the side effects associated with the HPV vacccine.

At present AS04, AS03 and MF-59 have not been approved by the FDA for use in the United States. However, on July 30, 2009, US Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius confirms that the Swine Flu (H1N1) vaccine will be laced with the mercury based preservative thimerosal ... 13th Sign Of The Zodiac - Ophiuchus

Source: Geocities

The constellation Ophiuchus - also known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder -
has been known about since ancient times but it was never added to the Zodiac chart as astrologers said that the Sun went straight from Scorpius into Sagittarius, disregarding the fact that the sun travelled through Ophiuchus for 19 days before entering Sagittarius.

Ophiuchus is often mistakenly called the 'thirteenth sign of the zodiac' because the sign is thought of as an additional sign to the the twelve Tropical or Sidereal signs. In fact, Ophiuchus is a Sun-sign in the Real Solar Zodiac, i.e. the Sun can be seen against the stars of Ophiuchus between 30th November and 17th December each year. [The dates of the cusps move a little from one year to the next, so sometimes they are quoted as 1st December to 18th December.] Aquarius, the Water Carrier, is the actual 13th, and last, sign of the Real Solar Zodiac.

As Ophiuchus is a Sun-sign it is also a member of the Planetary Zodiac and the Lunar Zodiac, i.e. as well as the Sun, the planets and the Moon can frequently be seen against the stars of Ophiuchus, from the view point of the Earth.

The planet Pluto could be found in Ophiuchus until the end of 2003, after which it passed into Serpens Cauda, the Serpent's Tail. The Centaur object, the minor planetoid Chiron, was visible against the stars of Ophiuchus until November 2001, after which it passed over the border into Sagittarius. Venus and Mercury can be found in Ophiuchus for a time each year. Shown right is an example of a star chart for Pluto in Ophiuchus in June 1999.

Ophiuchus is an Ancient Greek constellation. The Serpent Bearer is one of the original Ptolemy constellations, appearing in Al Magest Star Catalogue [c 130 - 170 AD]. He also appears on the Farnese Globe, a Roman copy of a circa 2nd century BC depiction of Atlas holding the Celestial Sphere above his head...

The Spanish Influenza Epidemic of 1918 Was Caused by Vaccinations

When doctors had tried to suppress the symptoms of the typhoid with a stronger vaccine, it caused a worse form of typhoid which they named paratyphoid. But when they concocted a stronger and more dangerous vaccine to suppress that one, they created an even worse disease which they didn’t have a name for. What should they call it? They didn’t want to tell the people what it really was — their own Frankenstein monster which they had created with their vaccines and suppressive medicines. They wanted to direct the blame away from themselves, so they called it Spanish Influenza. It was certainly not of Spanish origin, and the Spanish people resented the implication that the world-wide scourge of that day should be blamed on them. But the name stuck and American medical doctors and vaccine makers were not suspected of the crime of this widespread devastation — the 1918 Flu Epidemic. It is only in recent years that researchers have been digging up the facts and laying the blame where it belongs. Read more...

Mysterious beast captured on video by sunbathers

A terrified teenage student has told how a 'Yeti' spied on her in her bikini as she took a dip in a stream during a camping trip.

Footage has surfaced apparently showing one of the beasts stalking Justyna Folger, 19, as she holidayed with boyfriend Tadeusz Serafinowski in Poland's Tatra mountains. While Justyna paddles, Tadeusz's camera appears to pick out a shadowy hulk creeping through the undergrowth on the other side of the river bank.

'I wandered into the river for a dip when I realised that something was on the opposite shore,' Justyna told Poland's Super Express newspaper. 'At first I thought it was a bear but it appeared to be stooping and then it raised itself on to two legs and ran off. I couldn't believe it,' she added.

Now mountain rangers are on alert and hunting for the mysterious beast. National Park Guards Commander Edward Wlazlo said: 'We are investigating the matter. If there is something out there we will find it.' Yeti experts have been flocking to the mountains since Piotr Kowalski, 27, from Warsaw, filmed a Yeti-like creature emerging from a Tatra mountain path.

'I saw this huge ape-like form hiding behind the rocks. When I saw it it was like being struck by a thunderbolt,' he said. (Daily Mail)

Inspiration For The Day

A life without purpose is like a ship without a rudder.
Goals are dreams that are written down.
The purpose of a goal is to focus your attention.
Your mind will reach toward achievement only when it has a goal.

There is no achievement without goals.
Establish a goal worth working for.
Your goal will keep you going in tough times.
Always have something ahead of you.
Continuously visualize your next step.
Keep moving after you achieve your goal and set another.
Momentum is maintained by always having something to look forward to.
Constantly give yourself something to work for.
Do what you can do well, and do well whatever you can do,
and you'll achieve any goal that you set for yourself.
You can plant your dream with a goal.

Positivity Revisited

A diary can play many roles. It can be a confidant, a vehicle of self expression, a tool that facilitates clarity of thought, or a repository of dreams. A diary can also be a powerful source of comfort during challenging or traumatic periods. When you record those insights and incidents that clearly demonstrate you are on the right track, you can return to your words days, weeks, or months later and find uniquely soothing reassurance.

A diary with a specific purpose can be a good tool for keeping track of experiences before the passage of time can skew your perception of events. It reflects the immediacy of your life and thus provides you with a landmark to return to when you begin to doubt yourself. If doubt does arise, simply open your diary to reaffirm your experiences. The confidence, surety, passion, and bravery you felt in a single moment is preserved, giving you a means to recapture those feelings in any place, at any time.
Your diary serves as a repository of personalized encouragement. Since a diary is, by its very nature, as individual as you are, you should give some thought to the type of diary that will serve you best. A synchronicity-and-connections diary might describe those instances where seemingly random occurrences came together in a meaningful way, propelling you forward. Or you may find strength in the pages of a pride diary that makes note not only of those times you felt proud of yourself but also precisely why you were pleased with your efforts. And a cause-and-effect diary can help you become more decisive by reminding you of all the wise, life-affirming choices you have made. Your diary should be small enough to be readily portable and on hand whenever possible because the faster you put your thoughts down on paper, the more authentic your declarations are apt to be. Regardless of the type of focused diary you choose to keep, your recollections will create a positive feedback loop that helps you cope with doubt in a constructive way. Reading through your diary when life seems uncertain can show you that your misgivings are unfounded. As you draw consolation from your uplifting words, you will know without a doubt that you are indeed living your purpose and following the path that you committed to before birth.

Great ball of fire? No, just a 'sun dog' scampering across the sky

A UK man was sure that the streak of light he spotted in the sky while walking was more likely to be a meteor than a UFO.

In fact it was neither. The blazing ball hanging above a residential street in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is thought to be a ‘sun dog’. The phenomenon occurs when sunlight is refracted by hexagonal-shaped ice crystals in high and cirrus clouds - and is quite common, experts say.

'At first I thought it was a plane but it was going so fast I thought it must be something else,' he said.” I realised it must be a meteorite, which makes sense because there was a red trail followed by a tapering orange light behind it. I grabbed my camera phone and took two pictures as quick as I could before it disappeared behind a cloud. I don't subscribe to the UFO theory, so I am fairly sure it was a meteor. I would be interested to hear if anybody else saw it in the sky. It was only in my field of vision for around three or four seconds before it went behind a cloud. I tried to see where it would reappear but it was nowhere to be seen. I'd really like to know if anyone else saw it as it was a pretty sizeable meteorite.'

He traced it through the sky before the flaming matter vanished behind a cloud.

However an expert from the Royal Astronomical Society poured water on this theory.
Dr Robert Massey said the rainbow colours on the ball are a classic giveaway of sun dogs, or ‘mock suns’.

‘It may have looked like it was moving but in fact it was the clouds moving over it,’ he said, adding that meteors, caused by comet debris, are usually seen at night. These arise from the refraction of sunlight by hexagonal shaped ice crystals in high and cirrus clouds and disperse colours in the way shown in his image. If it was moving that's a different matter but otherwise the rainbow appearance is a classic giveaway. And even if it isn't a meteor the photographer should feel happy about capturing such a nice image.' (Daily Mail)

Chinese Pyramids Evidence of Alien Visitors

At the very beginning of the century, two Australian merchants travelled to the vast plains of Sichuan in the central part of China, where they discovered over one hundred pyramids.

The Australians asked the superior of the local monastery about the pyramids, and the superior said that they were “very old.” The first record of the pyramids was written over 5,000 years ago; therefore, it is very likely that they are even older.

The merchants also discovered that the pyramids belonged to the epoch when China was ruled by ancient emperors who believed in the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations. Moreover, the emperors themselves insisted that they were ancestors “of the sons of the sky, who had landed the Earth on iron dragons.” Aliens are alleged to have been the constructors of the pyramids.

Is Detection by an Exo Civilization a Threat to Earth? World's Experts Debate

Source: Daily Galaxy
Mankind has always been driven by contradictory drives. The relentless curiosity that pushes us forward and is directly responsible for our progress from caves to cities. The fear of change that tells us "hang on, these caves/cities are really nice, we don't want to risk losing them." There isn't any greater potential threat to the status quo than the discovery of extraterrestrial life, which is why some people would prefer we didn't try.

There has been some outrage recently over attempts to contact intelligent aliens, where instead of hiding in the corner and listening real hard some astronomers beamed intense directional messages up up and away. Critics decried these actions as dangerous, though their fears reveal more about us than any eventual ETs. They assume that they would be similar to humanity, so their first response to finding a more primitive culture would be to exploit the hell out of it. While such a fate might be pleasingly ironic (for anyone who isn't human, at least), others contend that any species that can make the journey here has advanced to a point where their goals are rather higher-minded than "Shoot us".

Dr Alexander Zaitzev, of the Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics at the Russian Academy of Sciences, doesn't think much of these worries either way. A proponent of METI (Messaging to Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence), in a recent paper he shows that the odds of one of the METI messages being detected is a millionth of that due to powerful radar pulses regularly used in astronomical investigation. Though whether writing a paper saying "This METI thing we're doing has only a tiny chance of working" is overall a good idea remains to be seen. An important point is that METI represents an intentional will to make contact, rather than the accidental alien interception of some random radiation from Earth - the difference between saying "Hello!" and just being a suspicious strange noise late at night.

Most of the objections to contacting aliens are weak under close examination. We can't suddenly decide to hide after fifty years of pumping electromagnetic radiation into space without rhyme or reason - in fact, we'd better hope that an advanced civilization doesn't catch an episode of "American Idol" and just vaporize us outright. Suddenly keeping quiet would be like a drunk boyfriend carefully taking off his shoes after knocking over a bookshelf on his way to the bedroom.

Then there's the assumption that aliens would have the same kind of technology we do - despite the extremely obvious fact that our technology can't actually get to other planets. Any attempt to mask radio emissions will likely look like cavemen closing their eyes to hide from satellite imaging.

The simple fact is that certain people have always opposed progress while other, better people have driven it. "Experts" decried boiled water as unhealthy compared the vital stuff straight from the river, cursed antibiotics as a temporary placebo, and confidently declared that computers were nothing but expensive toys. As an intelligent species we must make every effort to contact anyone or thing we can - and if you don't like it, there are some lovely caves you can move back to ... (They are already in contact and have been behind the scenes of our society for centuries. We've been deceived with regard to the space race and our supposed primitive technologies. Keeping the human sheepies blissfully ignorant & unaware of the truth by setting up departments of debunkers/sceptics and belittle those who know the truth!)

Outlining Your Intentions

The universe is aware of both the concrete goals we actively pursue and the nebulous dreams we have not yet begun to refine. Neither our struggles nor the daydreams that inspire us are beyond the range of universal perception. Yet to manifest our aspirations, we not only need to know what it is we generally wish to achieve; we also need to clearly articulate these aims to ourselves and the universe.
When we create a list of what we want, citing each item in as much detail as possible, our aspirations take on new substance. What was once a mere wish becomes real and achievable when put into words. As you pour the contents of your heart and soul into your list, your well-defined ambitions become a part of you, and the universe responds to your new determination by placing opportunities related to your objectives in your path. Whatever the nature of your desires, your list can help you channel your intellectual and emotional power into your efforts to realize them. The list you create should not simply be a record of your individual goals. Rather, it should be a comprehensive, exhaustive catalog of each target you want to reach and your reasons for aiming for them. This may mean that your list will encompass many pages of text, since when you write down and review your ambitions, you empower yourself to more accurately direct your goal-realization efforts. You then also have a framework in place that helps you distinguish success from setbacks. If you keep your list in a convenient spot and review it daily, you will inadvertently reaffirm your conviction to your aspirations, demonstrating to the universe that you are truly devoted to your chosen path while keeping your objectives fresh in your mind. If you have an altar, this would be a great place to keep your list. As you compose your list, try not to edit or judge what you have written. Some of what you want may seem outlandish when considered in the context of your current circumstances. Whether you are destined to fulfill the items on the unique long-term agenda you create in a year, 10 years, or 20 years, if you are free with your ideas and understand that you may not bring these dreams into the realm of reality for some time, your list will attract the universe’s benevolence even as it energizes and inspires you.

A Word on 'The Star'

Source: Tarot Teachings
Since as long as we have had eyes to see we have lifted them upwards to the stars for assurance and guidance. Winking back at us, the stars signal comfort to us. By their very design they instill wonder in the deepest parts of our hearts, and allow hope to spring forth.

The Star Tarot card holds that same twinkling hope and promise we see when we look up at the stars in the night sky. Everything about the card suggests serenity, assurance, and hope. It is a message for us to take heart, be at peace and know that all is well. The waters running from the maiden's pitchers are never-ending. There is an abundant supply of love and the cycles of life run smoothly along the currents of peace.

The sky is clear with a hue of blue, which is a symbol of inspiration, creativity and aspiration. We also see a predominance of green which is a symbol of healing. Our maiden intensifies the feeling of blissful peace as she is among the fertile gardens in her most natural state. It is as if she is in an oasis of creative, inspiration that serves as a place of healing and renewal. The lushness of her surroundings is compounded by the tranquility of her demeaner and it all puts us instantly at rest. She is nude which is a symbol of her ease - nothing to hide or fear, she is completely natural in her own skin as well as her surroundings.

We see the water she pours out is a part of a cleansing process. She pours out healing waters in dimensions of time: pouring out a pool in the present time, and pouring out a healing river that runs through our future days as well (see the pitcher symbolism below).

If we allow our imaginations to step into the card, we become surrounded by the beauty and warmth that delivers a promise that "all is well." We are surrounded by elements of faith that let us know our needs are always met. This is a very spiritual card, as it rings out messages of renewal, purification, and assurance that each of our days are saturated with the promise of joy, truth and love.

When the Star appears in a reading it indicates that the querent may have been through a rough time and is now entering a time of rejuvenation. This card is a message that a time of relaxation is here. Think "spa for the soul." Think breath of fresh air. Also, if the querent has been worried about a situation, this card indicates that he/she is on the right path, and that all things will work out to a happy end. The Star Tarot card meanings ar all about the promise of a better day.

"Atlantis Reconstructed"

We have found in the most ancient records of the Aryan language proof that the indications of religious thought are higher, simpler, and purer as we go back in time, until at last, in the very oldest compositions of human speech which have come down to us, we find the Divine Being spoken of in the sublime language which forms the opening of the Lord's Prayer. The date in absolute chronology of the oldest Vedic literature does not seem to be known. Professor Max Müller, however, considers that it may possibly take us back 5000 years. . . .

All we can see with certainty is that the earliest inventions of mankind are the most wonderful that the race has ever made. . . . The first use of fire, and the discovery of the methods by which it can be kindled; the domestication of wild animals; and, above all, the processes by which the various cereals were first developed out of some wild grasses-these are all discoveries with which, in ingenuity and in importance, no subsequent discoveries may compare. They are all unknown to history--all lost in the light of an effulgent dawn."

The Atlanteans possessed an established order of priests; their religious worship was pure and simple. They lived under a kingly government; they had their courts, their judges, their records, their monuments covered with inscriptions, their mines, their founderies, their workshops, their looms, their grist-mills, their boats and sailing-vessels, their highways, aqueducts, wharves, docks, and canals. They had processions, banners, and triumphal arches for their kings and heroes; they built pyramids, temples, round-towers, and obelisks; they practised religious ablutions; they knew the use of the magnet and of gunpowder. In short, they were in the enjoyment of a civilization nearly as high as our own, lacking only the printing-press, and those inventions in which steam, electricity, and magnetism are used. We are told that Deva-Nahusha visited his colonies in Farther India. An empire which reached from the Andes to Hindostan, if not to China, must have been magnificent indeed. In 'its markets must have met the maize of the Mississippi Valley, the copper of Lake Superior, the gold and silver of Peru and Mexico, the spices of India, the tin of Wales and Cornwall, the bronze of Iberia, the amber of the Baltic, the wheat and barley of Greece, Italy, and Switzerland.

It is not surprising that when this mighty nation sank beneath the waves, in the midst of terrible convulsions, with all its millions of people, the event left an everlasting impression upon the imagination of mankind. Let us suppose that Great Britain should to-morrow meet with a similar fate. What a wild consternation would fall upon her colonies and upon the whole human family! The world might relapse into barbarism, deep and almost universal. William the Conqueror, Richard Cœur de Lion, Alfred the Great, Cromwell, and Victoria might survive only as the gods or demons of later races; but the memory of the cataclysm in which the centre of a universal empire instantaneously went down to death would never be forgotten; it would survive in fragments, more or less complete, in every land on earth; it would outlive the memory of a thousand lesser convulsions of nature; it would survive dynasties, nations, creeds, and languages; it would never be forgotten while man continued to inhabit the face of the globe ... read more ...

Jaycee Lee Dugard tells her daughters the truth about their father Phillip Garrido

The daughters of Jaycee Lee Dugard - Starlet and Angel - are today learning to cope with the terrible truth about their father.

Jaycee has finally revealed to her daughters how their father Phillip Garrido was a rapist who held her in captivity for 18 years.Relatives said she broke the news to her daughters, aged 15 and 11, as they were distraught that Phillip Garrido was in prison.
Meanwhile a fragment of bone has been uncovered by cadaver-sniffing dogs on property next door to the Garrido home.

Antioch, northern California, and the one next door for possible links to unsolved crimes in the area. Contra Costa Sheriff's Department spokesman Jimmy Lee said it was too early to tell whether the small fragment unearthed on Sunday was animal or human.

Investigators recovered several other pieces of evidence during the four days they spent searching the two parcels of land. Garrido once lived on his neighbour's property in a shed. Residents say he once worked as the property caretaker and helped out an elderly man who lived there several years ago. Garrido is already suspected of murdering a 15-year-old girl and as many as ten prostitutes who were killed close to a factory where he used to work.

Meanwhile, relatives spoke of the impact the truth about Garrido was having on Jaycee's two daughters, aged 15 and 11. Jaycee's stepfather Carl Probyn told ABC: 'It’s going to take a lot of therapy for them. We’ re going to have to take it minute by minute. These girls are so fragile.

'Jaycee had to explain to them, like two days ago, that she had been kidnapped. They didn’t even know that. They are upset about this because that’s their father and he’s in jail.' Joann Behrman-Lippert, a psychologist who has researched child abductions, told The Times: 'For these children their father is still their father, no matter what has happened. It’s very complex and not a black-or-white situation.' (Daily Mail)

Was Bubonic Plague the Knights Templar's Revenge

The Knights Templar were a military and religious order that also accumulated great wealth through their banking and lending practices. They were disbanded and brought under the Inquisition in 1307. They transferred their massive gold and silver holdings to Switzerland and turned their fleet of vessels into Pirates that plundered the vessels of Catholic Europe.

The Order was organized after Plato's Republic with the "Philosopher Kings" at its head; the second level was the Knights military leadership and the third was its Merchant and Banking Leadership. The Order was reformed as free-masonry and the top three degrees are reserved for the same three levels of leadership. These top three levels became known as the Rosicrucians at first, and now form our present Illuminati leadership. They worship the god Lucifer and his mythical nemesis Satan.'

Moving in Real Time

We all go through times when we wish we could press a fast-forward button and propel ourselves into the future and out of our current circumstances. Whether the situation we are facing is minor, or major such as the loss of a loved one, it is human nature to want to move away from pain and find comfort as soon as possible.
Yet we all know deep down that we need to work through these experiences in a conscious fashion rather than bury our heads in the sand, because these are the times when we access important information about ourselves and life. The learning process may not be easy, but it is full of lessons that bring us wisdom we cannot find any other way. The desire to press fast-forward can lead to escapism and denial, both of which only prolong our difficulties and in some cases make them worse. The more direct, clear, and courageous we are in the face of whatever we are dealing with, the more quickly we will move through the situation. Understanding this, we may begin to realize that trying to find the fast-forward button is really more akin to pressing pause. When we truly grasp that the only way out of any situation in which we find ourselves is to go through it, we stop looking for ways to escape and we start paying close attention to what is happening. We realize that we are exactly where we need to be. We remember that we are in this situation in order to learn something we need to know, and we can alleviate some of our pain with the awareness that there is a purpose to our suffering.
When you feel the urge to press the fast-forward button, remember that you are not alone; we all instinctively avoid pain. But in doing so, we often prolong our pain and delay important learning. As you choose to move forward in real time, know that in the long run, this is the least painful way to go.
