A Word On " The Ego:Taking Control"

A habit is a behaviour plan or tendency that we develop from repeated exposure to certain types of situations. One benefit is obvious: there are many times when by following the dictates of habit we are spared having to devote conscious energy to a task (for example, choosing what to eat at a restaurant).

Habit also has another important quality: it allows your Ego to take control in a situation where it would otherwise have a difficult time. For example, if you have formed the habit of eating a small piece of cake when it is offered, you will be able to enjoy desert more than if you suffer from pangs of conscience (from your Superego which might want you to forgo the cake completely), or from unrealistic desire (from your Id which wants to indulge).

Habit can be a lever which allows your Ego to exercise control beyond its usual strength. However, as we all know, habits can sometimes act against our long-range self-interests (for example, smoking cigarettes).

Habits seem to have a strength of their own. To make or break a habit requires significant psychic effort. These two traits, viz. that habits can be both helpful and harmful, and that they can, through effort, be formed or broken, leads us to our next important point: you must learn the skills of controlling your habits. And by controlling habits I mean not only breaking them, but forming them.

These skills are among the most important in life, and yet receive so little attention. Coming to terms with habit is a slow process. To do so, you need to realize that most habits are not unchangeable. Rather, they are patterns of behaviour that you have learned. You can both learn new habits and break old ones if you want.

But habits possess great psychic strength and they are neither easily created nor easily destroyed. They are powerful and you must be prepared to devote time and effort to their cultivation. The way to form a habit is to practice repeatedly. There is no easy way. This does not mean that the process must be unpleasant, although sometimes unavoidably it will be so.

People often follow patterns of behaviour that were set when they were young. It is important to identify habits that are not appropriate. You must set aside moments of contemplation and analyse your behaviour, identifying those facets that are against your self-interest and those patterns that would work towards it. Then you must practice the behaviour that you wish to become second nature. You must commit yourself to it ... read more ...

Inspiration For The Day

"Most people are so busy knocking themselves out trying to do everything they think they should do, they never get around to do what they want to do." -- Kathleen Winsor

When we clearly set an intention, our conscious and subconscious minds mobilize to help us meet that intention. At the start of each day, thoroughly review what commitments you have made to others for the day, and decide what commitment(s) you will make for yourself. What can you do today that will move you one step closer to your personal goals? Own your power to choose to meet your own needs. After all, we are much better able to help others when our own needs are met. And at the end of the day, when you've honoured your commitment to yourself, acknowledge your success.

"If you want to make good use of your time, you've got to know what's most important and then give it all you've got." -- Lee Iacocca

Setting the Tone

The choices you make upon waking can have a profound impact on your day. If, still drowsy, you hit the ground running, rushing to prepare yourself to face your worldly obligations, you will likely feel fatigued and overwhelmed for most of your day. A leisurely and relaxing morning, on the other hand, can energize and excite you, as well as give you the courage to meet the challenges waiting for you. By beginning your day in a focused and centered fashion, you make it your own. You set the tone of your expectations and choose the mood you will use to respond to your circumstances.
A gentle, reflective, and thoughtful morning will prepare you to create a gentle, conscious, and thoughtful day. The simplest way to eliminate the rush from your morning routine is to rise earlier. Getting children into routines and getting themselves ready as much as possible will also give you more time. Though this may seem like a hardship at first, you will soon grow to love the extra minutes or hours that afford you an opportunity to really enjoy watching the sun come up or connect with your loved ones before you go in your separate directions. There are many more ways you can constructively use the time you gain. A mere half-hour of introspection in which you examine your goals, thank the universe for the richness in your life, and contemplate the blessings you will receive this day can lift your spirit and help you formulate lasting positive expectations. Likewise, you can solidify your day’s intention through spoken affirmations or the words you record in a journal. Or, if you want little more than to enjoy your day, devote a portion of your personal time to activities that both ground and delight you, such as meditation, yoga, chanting, singing, reading, or listening to music. If you feel, however, that there is little room for change in your start-of-the-day routine, try to make each activity you engage in upon waking a ritual in its own right. The time you spend everyday savoring a soothing cup of tea or washing away tension in a hot shower can serve as a potent reminder of the need to care for yourself no matter what the hour. Your morning is yours and should reflect not only your practical needs but also the needs of your soul. When you center yourself at the start of your day, you will likely find it easier to remain centered during subsequent work, play, and downtime because the overall sense of serenity you create through your choices will stay with you throughout the day.

Thimerosal, Organic Mercury, Swine Flu and You

'Thimerosal is nearly 50% mercury. Now, there is mercury and then there is mercury. Organic mercury – that contained in Thimerosal – is more dangerous than inorganic mercury, as it tends to hang around in the body longer. How dangerous is it?

According to one report, “In 1977, a Russian study found that adults exposed to ethylmercury, the form of mercury in thimerosal, suffered brain damage years later. Studies on thimerosal poisoning also describe tubular necrosis and nervous system injury, including obtundation, coma and death. As a result of these findings, Russia banned thimerosal from children's vaccines in 1980. Denmark, Austria, Japan, Great Britain and all the Scandinavian countries have also banned the preservative".'

Buddhist Inspiration ..

... the fools of this world prefer to look for sages far away. They don't believe that the wisdom of their own mind is the sage... the sutras say, "Mind is the teaching." But people of no understanding don't believe in their own mind or that by understanding this teaching they can become a sage. They prefer to look for distant knowledge and long for things in space, buddha-images, light, incense, and colors. They fall prey to falsehood and lose their minds to insanity.

Major quakes and Planet X - Will Alaska and California be next?

"High-energy electrons captured over Antarctica could reveal the presence of a nearby but MYSTERIOUS ASTROPHYSICAL OBJECT that's bombarding Earth with cosmic rays, researchers say":

"Two celestial bodies (The Earth and Planet X - A/N) have been attracted one to each other. The inner masses of the Earth were pushed to the periphery. The Earth with its rotation movement disturbed, started to warm."

- Strong earthquakes may weaken distant fault lines (Reuters, Sep 30,2009):
Huge earthquakes can weaken seismic faults on the other side of the world, scientists in California said on Wednesday.

Their study coincided with a major 8.0-magnitude quake in the Pacific, unleashing a tsunami that killed scores of people in the Samoan islands and Tonga.

Seismologists led by Taka'aki Taira of the University of California at Berkeley found that the 9.1 monster that struck west of Sumatra in December 2004 weakened a closely-monitored segment on California's San Andreas fault, 8,000 kilometers (5,000 miles) distant. Full story:www.reuters.com

Mind Control - The Ultimate Terror

The topic of mind control is elaborate, multifaceted, and multi layered. For the casual reader, it can quickly become numbing, overwhelming the senses and creating a desire to exit the topic, but avoiding this subject is the most foolish thing you could possibly do since your only chance of surviving this hideous and insidious enslavement agenda, which today threatens virtually all of humanity, isto understand how it functions and take steps to reduce your vulnerability.

The plans to create a mind controlled workers society have been in place for a long time. The current technology grew out of experiments that the Nazis started before World War II and intensified during the time of the Nazi concentration camps when an unlimited supply of children and adults were available for experimentation. We've heard about the inhumane medical experiments performed on concentration camp prisoners, but no word was ever mentioned by the media and the TV documentaries of the mind control experiments. That was not to be divulged to the American public. Mind control technologies can be broadly divided into two subsets: trauma-based or electronic-based.

The first phase of government mind control development grew out of the old occult techniques which required the victim to be exposed to massive psychological and physical trauma, usually beginning in infancy, in order to cause the psyche to shatter into a thousand alter personalities which can then be separately programmed to perform any function (or job) that the programmer wishes to"install". Each alter personality created is separate and distinct from the front personality. The 'front personality' is unaware of the existence or activities of the alter personalities. Alter personalities can be brought to the surface by programmers or handlers using special codes, usually stored in a laptop computer. The victim of mind control can also be affected by specific sounds, words, or actions known as triggers.

The second phase of mind control development was refined at an underground base below Fort Hero on Montauk , Long Island (New York) and is referred to as the Montauk Project. The earliest adolescent victims of Montauk style programming, so called Montauk Boys, were programmed using trauma-based techniques, but that method was eventually abandoned in favor of an all-electronic induction process which could be "installed" in a matter of days (or even hours) instead of the many years that it took to complete trauma-based methods.

Dr. Joseph Mengele of Auschwitz notoriety was the principle developer of the trauma-basedMonarch Project and the CIA'sMK Ultra mind control programs. Mengele and approximately 5, 000 other high ranking Nazis were secretly moved into the United States and South America in the aftermath of World War II in an Operation designated Paperclip. The Nazis continued their work in developing mind control and rocketry technologies in secret underground military bases. The only thing we were told about was the rocketry work with former Nazi star celebrities like Warner Von Braun. The killers, torturers, and mutilators of innocent human beings were kept discretely out of sight, but busy in U.S. underground military facilities which gradually became home to thousands upon thousands of kidnapped American children snatched off the streets (about one million per year) and placed into iron bar cages stacked from floor to ceiling as part of the 'training'. These children would be used to further refine and perfect Mengele's mind control technologies. Certain selected children (at least the ones who survived the 'training') would become future mind controlled slaves who could be used for thousands of different jobs ranging anywhere from sexual slavery to assassinations. A substantial portion of these children, who were considered expendable, were intentionally slaughtered in front of (and by) the other children in order to traumatize the selected trainee into total compliance and submission ... read more ...

Inspiration For The Day

A life without purpose is like a ship without a rudder. The purpose of a goal is to focus your attention. Your mind will reach toward achievement only when it has a goal. There is no achievement without goals. Establish a goal worth working for. Your goal will keep you going in tough times. Always have something ahead of you. Continuously visualize your next step. Keep moving after you achieve your goal and set another. Momentum is maintained by always having something to look forward to. Constantly give yourself something to work for. Do what you can do well, and do well whatever you can do. You can plant your dream with a goal.

The Economic Recovery is an Illusion

'In light of the ever-present and unyieldingly persistent exclamations of ‘an end’ to the recession, a ‘solution’ to the crisis, and a ‘recovery’ of the economy; we must remember that we are being told this by the very same people and institutions which told us, in years past, that there was ‘nothing to worry about,’ that ‘the fundamentals are fine,’ and that there was ‘no danger’ of an economic crisis.

The economic crisis is anything but over, the “solutions” have been akin to putting a band-aid on an amputated arm. The Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the central bank to the world’s central banks, has warned and continues to warn against such misplaced hopes.'

Hidden Gems

Sometimes we have an experience that we don’t understand, but if we look deeply, or wait long enough, a reason for that experience will usually reveal itself. All the events in our lives lead to other events, and all that we have manifested in this present moment is the result of past events and experiences. We cannot easily tease apart the many threads that have been woven together to create our current reality. Experiences that don’t make sense, as well as any that we regret, are just as responsible for the good things in our lives as the experiences we do understand or label as "good."
This is especially important to remember at times when we feel directionless or unsure of what to do. It is often at times like these that we take a job or move to a place without really knowing if it’s the right thing to do. We may ultimately end up leaving the job or the place, but often during that time we will have met someone who becomes an important friend, or we may have an experience that changes us in a profound way. When all the pieces of our life don’t quite make sense, we can remember that there may be some hidden gem of a reason that we are where we are having the experiences we are having. It’s fun to look back on past experiences with an eye to uncovering those gems—the dreadful temporary job in a bland office building that introduced you to the love of your life; the roommate you couldn’t tolerate who gave you a book that changed your life; the time spent living in a city you didn’t like that led you into a deeper relationship with yourself. Remembering these past experiences can restore our faith in the present. Life is full of buried treasures. Chances are, you’re sitting on some right now.

How To Brainwash A Nation

Warning of Bigger Tremor to Come

'The earthquake that struck Sumatra three days ago is likely to be followed by an even larger tremor that could cause a tsunami as devastating as the one that hit Indonesia in 2004, according to a leading seismologist. Professor Kerry Sieh, director of the Earth Observatory at Singapore’s Nanyang University, says earthquakes measured at 8.4 and 7.8 which hit southern Sumatra in September 2007 marked the beginning of a cycle of tremors that starts roughly every 200 years.'

Cloudy with a chance of pebble showers: Simulation suggests rocky exoplanet has bizarre atmosphere

The exoplanet COROT-7b is close enough to its star that its "day-face" is hot enough to melt rock. Theoretical models suggest the planet has an atmosphere of the components of rock in gaseous form and lava or boiling oceans on its surface. Image by ESO/L. Calcada.

So accustomed are we to the sunshine, rain, fog and snow of our home planet that we find it next to impossible to imagine a different atmosphere and other forms of precipitation. To be sure, Dr. Seuss came up with a green gluey substance called oobleck that fell from the skies and gummed up the Kingdom of Didd, but it had to be conjured up by wizards and was clearly a thing of magic.

Not so the
atmosphere of COROT-7b, an exoplanet discovered last February by the COROT space telescope launched by the French and European space agencies.
According to models by scientists at Washington University in St. Louis, COROT-7b's atmosphere is made up of the ingredients of rocks and when "a front moves in," pebbles condense out of the air and rain into lakes of molten lava below.

The work, by Laura Schaefer, research assistant in the Planetary Chemistry Laboratory, and Bruce Fegley Jr., Ph.D., professor of earth and planetary sciences in Arts & Sciences, appears in the Oct. 1 issue of The Astrophysical Journal.

Astronomers have found nearly 400 extra-solar planets, or exoplanets, in the past 20 years. But because of the limitations of the indirect means by which they are discovered, most are Hot Jupiters, chubby gas giants orbiting close to their parent stars. (More than 1,300 Earths could be packed inside Jupiter, which has 300 times the mass of Earth.)

COROT-7b, on the other hand, is less than twice the size of Earth and only five times its mass.

It was the first planet found orbiting the star COROT-7, and orange dwarf in the constellation Monoceros, or the Unicorn. (This priority is designated by the letter b.) (phsyrog.com)

Composing Bliss

The creation of any kind of art can be as much a form of meditation as a vehicle for self-expression. Energetically splashing colours of paint onto a canvas can be like casting the weight of the world off your shoulders, while raising your voice to hit the high notes of a song can inspire you to release your fears so you can reach new heights in your own life. And then there is the act of meditation that can take place when you create poetry. Sculpting your thoughts and emotions into a poem can take you on a journey into your inner universe where your conscious mind is momentarily cast adrift. Like other forms of meditation, writing poetry requires that you stay fully present during the process, rather than focusing on any outcome.
In doing so, you release any inhibitions or ideas of "what needs to happen," so that your thoughts can flow freely through you. When you write poetry, you are able to see the reflections of your innermost self imprinted on a page. If you'd like to experience poetry as a meditation practice, you might want to try this exercise: Set aside twenty minutes where you can be alone in a quiet space. You may want to look at poems other people have written to see if there is a style of poetry you would like to try. You can also try writing in freeform. The structure of the poem will then organically reveal itself to you. When you are ready, sit down with pen and paper and let the words flow. Don't think about what you are going to say next, and don't worry about spelling, grammar, or logic. Instead, be as descriptive, visually precise, rhythmic, or lyrical as you want to be. When you feel complete, put the pen down, and read over what you've written. Appreciate this work of art you have created. You may even find that thoughts and emotions you had repressed before are now making themselves known so you can process and release them. Writing poetry as a form of meditation lets you slow down your mind long enough for you to get out of your own way, so that your soul can freely express its deepest yearnings.

'Reptilians'

Reptilian humanoids are a proposed race of intelligent, supernatural, or highly developed reptile-like humanoids in mythology, popular fiction, pseudoscientific theories and in the writings of New Age conspiracies. They appear in some conspiracy theories, most notably those of Riley Martin, John Rhodes, David Icke, and in science fiction. Reptoids, a conjoined word defining Reptilian-Humanoid beings, is the most popular name used to describe these cryptid beings, although some authors also refer to them as dinosauroids, lizardfolk or lizardmen. Other names include Draconians, Saurians and Sauroids.

They are often described as being green or gold color. Similar to the other cryptids, no one has produced proof of the existence of reptilian humanoids, and allegations of their existence can at best be referred to as cryptozoology or pseudoscience.

Mythological references to reptilian humanoids. Several ancient peoples all over the world have described reptilian beings, and some have described reptilian humanoids. Common in numerous mythologies are tales of reptilian creatures (usually not humanoid) who are often, but not always, hostile to human beings. Also rather common are the myths of "Serpents of Wisdom" who enlightened humanity before the dawn of civilization ... read more ...

Ego - The False Centre

The first thing to be understood is what ego is. A child is born. A child is born without any knowledge, any consciousness of his own self. And when a child is born the first thing he becomes aware of is not himself; the first thing he becomes aware of is the other. It is natural, because the eyes open outwards, the hands touch others, the ears listen to others, the tongue tastes food and the nose smells the outside. All these senses open outwards.

That is what birth means. Birth means coming into this world, the world of the outside. So when a child is born, he is born into this world. He opens his eyes, sees others. 'Other' means the thou. He becomes aware of the mother first. Then, by and by, he becomes aware of his own body. That too is the other, that too belongs to the world. He is hungry and he feels the body; his need is satisfied, he forgets the body.

This is how a child grows. First he becomes aware of you, thou, other, and then by and by, in contrast to you, thou, he becomes aware of himself.

This awareness is a reflected awareness. He is not aware of who he is. He is simply aware of the mother and what she thinks about him. If she smiles, if she appreciates the child, if she says, "You are beautiful," if she hugs and kisses him, the child feels good about himself. Now an ego is born.

Through appreciation, love, care, he feels he is good, he feels he is valuable, he feels he has some significance.

A centre is born. But this centre is a reflected centre. It is not his real being. He does not know who he is; he simply knows what others think about him. And this is the ego: the reflection, what others think. If nobody thinks that he is of any use, nobody appreciates him, nobody smiles, then too an ego is born: an ill ego; sad, rejected, like a wound; feeling inferior, worthless. This too is the ego. This too is a reflection.

First the mother - and mother means the world in the beginning. Then others will join the mother, and the world goes on growing. And the more the world grows, the more complex the ego becomes, because many others' opinions are reflected.

The ego is an accumulated phenomenon, a by-product of living with others. If a child lives totally alone, he will never come to grow an ego. But that is not going to help. He will remain like an animal. That doesn't mean that he will come to know the real self, no.

The real can be known only through the false, so the ego is a must. One has to pass through it. It is a discipline. The real can be known only through the illusion. You cannot know the truth directly. First you have to know that which is not true. First you have to encounter the untrue. Through that encounter you become capable of knowing the truth. If you know the false as the false, truth will dawn upon you.

Ego is a need; it is a social need, it is a social by-product. The society means all that is around you - not you, but all that is around you. All, minus you, is the society. And everybody reflects. You will go to school and the teacher will reflect who you are.

You will be in friendship with other children and they will reflect who you are. By and by, everybody is adding to your ego, and everybody is trying to modify it in such a way that you don't become a problem to the society.

They are not concerned with you. They are concerned with the society. Society is concerned with itself, and that's how it should be ... read more ...

Satanic Symbols in Modern Schoolbooks

'Before we get started, the plausible deniability of these occult symbols will be that they are in fact, just regular geometric figures and therefore nothing more should be read into them. However, anyone who even slightly looks at the Satanist realities will notice that these are also the main symbols of every satanic order on earth and are used to dark purposes across the globe. That the publishers chose them for a book tells us many things.'

Are We Possessed?

'C. G. Jung, the great doctor of the soul and one of the most inspired psychologists of the twentieth century, had incredible insight into what is currently playing out, both individually and collectively, in our modern-day world. He writes, “If, for a moment, we look at mankind as one individual, we see that it is like a man carried away by unconscious powers.” We are a species carried away -- “possessed” by -- and acting out, the unconscious. Jung elaborates, “Possession, though old-fashioned, has by no means become obsolete; only the name has changed.

Formerly they spoke of ‘evil spirits,’ now we call them ‘neurosis’ or ‘unconscious complexes.’” To condescendingly think that we, as modern-day, rational people, are too sophisticated to believe in something as primitive as demons is to have fallen under the spell of the very evil spirits we are imagining are nonexistent. What the ancients call demons are a psychic phenomena which compel us to act out behaviours contrary to our best intentions. To quote Jung, “…the psychic conditions which breed demons are as actively at work as ever.

The demons have not really disappeared but have merely taken on another form: they have become unconscious psychic forces".'

Inspiration For The Day

“Paradoxically, a group of humans becomes healing and converting only after its members have learned to stop trying to heal and convert. Community is a safe place precisely because no one is attempting to heal or convert you, to fix you, to change you. Instead, the members accept you as you are. You are free to be you. And being so free, you are free to discard defenses, masks, disguises; free to seek your own psychological and spiritual health; free to become your whole and holy self.” -- Scott Peck

A Word On 'Tiger Symbolism'

The Tiger is the symbol of darkness and the new Moon. When a Tiger totem enters your life, expect new adventures. It will awaken new passion and power. Tiger people do their best work at night. They are very sensual and passion people and devoted parents. Your best work will be done at night. Tigers are associated with water and have all the properties of the element of Water – healing, power through gentle flow, feminine energies. In China, there are 5 mystic tigers: The red tiger is south, summer and fire, the black tiger is the symbol of north, winter and water, the blue tiger is east, spring and vegetation, the white tiger is west, autumn and all metals, the yellow tiger is ruler of the Earth and its energies. Own goal gifts Man Utd late draw

Manchester United salvaged a draw against Sunderland as an unfortunate Anton Ferdinand scored a late own goal. Darren Bent swivelled and rifled in to put Sunderland deservedly ahead, and a below-par United were unable to get a shot in on goal in the first half.

Dimitar Berbatov levelled with a superb bicycle kick before Kenwyne Jones nodded Sunderland ahead again. Kieran Richardson was then sent off before Ferdinand diverted in Patrice Evra's shot to hand United a point.

It was a cruel blow for Sunderland, who looked to be heading for their first victory at Old Trafford since 1968. And Richardson will look back ruefully at having been given a needless second yellow card for kicking the ball away, and so leaving his team-mates a man short with the score at 2-1.

United must consider themselves fortunate after they were largely out-thought and out-fought. Other than a brief spell shortly after the interval and at the end of the match, Sunderland looked comfortably in control as United struggled.

In United's midfield, Darren Fletcher was distinctly off-colour while wide men Nani and Danny Welbeck, making only his second Premier League start, were anonymous. Sunderland's Andy Reid and Lee Cattermole were, in contrast, lively, combative and creative. (BBC Sport)

Self Growth - The First Step [Conquer your Ego]

As we know there are so many areas of self growth we need to look into but the initial step towards self growth lies in controlling one's ego, "Conquering the Self".

Ego can kill or dampen one's core skills. The focus shifts from the "skills" to the "self" and the person is not able to continue as before.

There is a very thin line between pride and ego. We dont realize when pride gets converted into ego. A simple way of checking the difference is to see if you are beginning to feel that the other person is inferior to you. This is a very good sign to check if the ego has entered into our mind.

A Word On 'Orgonite'

Orgonite is simply a mixture of organic and inorganic materials. This mixture releases, or stimules the movement of positive orgone energy into the environment around the mixture.

The word orgone was coined by Dr. Wilhelm Reich, who in the 1930's and 1940's, researched the existence of aetheric energy (life energy, chi, etc.), which he called orgone.

It is especially useful for correcting energies around EMF polluting devices such as televisions computers and microwave ovens.

Insights For The Day: 'Sing your own song'

"Since you are like no other being ever created since the beginning of time, you are incomparable." -- Brenda Ueland

Great forces are directing you to conform to the patterns of your society. You have DNA that has been handed down from generation to generation, coding repeated behaviour patterns into your being. You have archetypal energies setting the standards for how you behave as a man or a woman, as husband or wife, as father or mother .... You are immersed in consensual reality, whereby the world around you reflects societal understanding of how life has been and is to be. At the same time, you have an even greater force within you inspiring you to wake up and recognize the reality of who you are. This force, the creative power underlying the entire universe, is urging you to create brand new standards of reality. The status quo is blind to our creative power. Create a brand new world for yourself, one that meets your deepest needs, and you will help raise the quality of consciousness of the entire world.

Bluehenge unearthed: Prehistoric site that could be famous stone circle's little sister

Archaeologists have discovered Stonehenge's little sister - just a mile from the famous monument. The prehistoric circle, unearthed in secret over the summer, is one of the most important prehistoric finds in decades.

Researchers have called it 'Bluehenge' after the colour of the 27 giant Welsh stones it once incorporated - but are now missing.

The find is already challenging conventional wisdom about how Stonehenge was built - and what it was used for.

Bluehenge was put up 5,000 years ago - around the same time as work began on Stonehenge - and appears to have been a miniature version of it. The two circles stood together for hundreds of years before Bluehenge was dismantled. Researchers believe its stones were used to enlarge Stonehenge during one of a number of redevelopments.

Professor Tim Darvill, Stonehenge expert at Bournemouth University, said: 'This adds to the richness of the story of Stonehenge. We thought we knew it all, but over the last few years we have discovered that something as familiar as Stonehenge is still a challenge to explore and understand. It wouldn't surprise me if there weren't more circles.'

All that remains of the 60ft wide Bluehenge are the holes of 27 giant stones set on a ramped mount. Chips of blue stone found in the holes appear to be identical to the blue stones used in Stonehenge.

The four-ton monsters, made of Preseli Spotted Dolerite - a chemically altered igneous rock harder than granite - were mined in the Preseli Mountains in Pembrokeshire and then rolled, dragged and floated the 200 miles to the site on the banks of the Avon in Wiltshire. (Daily Mail)

FDA Approved H1N1 Vaccines Contain Ingredients Known to Cause Cancer and Death

'Most health experts will agree that vaccine reactions can occur. It is estimated that roughly 1 in every million people will react to their vaccine. Even then, health officials maintain that it is usually a simple case of inflammation at the injection site and/or a slight fever. On a rare occasion, anaphylactic shock may occur due to the patient reacting to a substance that they are allergic to. However, the FDA recently approved four H1N1 vaccines that not only contain very questionable ingredients, but some of those ingredients have even been proven to cause cancer and death.'

A Word On "Elephant Symbolism"

The elephant attains old age and with it, wisdom. They are highly revered for their strength and power.

The white elephant was chosen by Buddha as one of his many incarnations. White elephants are rare and their appearance is still today considered a phenomenon of the gods.

The elephant is probably the most positive animal symbol known. The Elephant is also considered a strong symbol of luck - keep a lucky elephant at the door to your house to protect from bad luck and to stimulate good luck for all who live there.

Elephant is a powerful totem animal; in India and southeast Asia elephants are venerated, and the symbolism of the elephant is multiple. It is a symbol of royalty and fertility. The Hindu god of wisdom and success, Ganesha, is usually depicted with an elephant's head. The god Indra held several roles in which an elephant plays a part. As the king of gods, the elephant was the royal mount. As the god of warriors, the elephant was Indra's super weapon. As the god of rain, Indra used the gray elephant to bring forth the monsoons."

The elephant has a most auspicious symbolism. They embody strength and power, especially power of the libido. male elephants are more likely to rage out of control when in rut. Because

The elephant's trunk, has some special symbolism associated with it: "Because the elephant has relatively poor eyesight, it relies heavily upon its sense of smell... the sense of smell is a long time symbol for higher forms of discrimination.... smells may become an aphrodisiac for those with this totem.... it (the trunk) reflects that through increased sensitivity of smell that the elephant stimulates, you can open to energies and worlds otherwise unaccessible.

Elephant as totem animal is a powerful guide. "Those who have the elephant as totem will usually find themselves in a position where the opportunity to reestablish family and societal ideals will occur. Mutual care of the young, respect for the elderly and the sick, being strong in your own self - these are the foundations of a great person or society. If elephant has come to you, you will have the opportunity to work toward establishing this within your own life or the lives of others. If elephant has come to you prepare to draw upon the most ancient wisdom and power. You will have an opportunity to either help yourself or others reclaim your most primordial royalty.

'Morphing' UFO Photographed At Close Range Over Ontario

An Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, man witnessed and took photographs September 17, 2009, of a low flying UFO overhead in Scarborough, according to a statement released by Paul Shishis.

The photographed object does not fit standard UFO descriptions of disc and triangle-shaped objects, but appeared to "morph" in shape, according to Shishis.
He said the object was 100 yards away and between 300 and 500 feet in altitude, when it appeared to "open up," and then "looked like a long sheet of some material - that was approximately 10 to 15 feet in length."

Following is the unedited statement Shishis released September 25, 2009 as a letter to "John Bro."Hi John, I'm in shock once again man. I 'm real busy at work //-home -bummer - considering all that is happening !

Now here we go again! 3 sightings today. I can tell you - something is definately happening around me and yesterday - there were more military-looking helicopters - apparently following me as I drove home .

This morning - I was up earlier than usual - 5:20AM. I made some tea -was half asleep - and at 5:30am, I went outside to my deck . Here's the scary part, John. I thought in my mind-"show me a sign -if you're watching me."Photo: Witness image was reduced in size for this page. Paul Shishis photo. Within seconds - above where I was looking - I witnessed- one white flash - then paused for 2-3 seconds, more rapid white flashes. Then paused another 2-3 seconds - and witnessed another single white flash.

I was in shock - I silently made a request - and then it happened, eh?? I watched in amazement - hoping for any other flashes - or signs of running lights.

Later I was at work in Scarborough - and I stepped outside - just before 1:00pm. I looked up - and saw a strange large, black object - heading directly towards me. I then pulled my camera from my pocket and start filming. Photo: Witness image was reduced in size for this page. Paul Shishis photo.Immediately, I was able to record the apparently morphing object - as it was approaching from the east. It was only about 100 yards away - at a height of between 300-500 ft. I was hoping for a witness - and then 3 miraculously just showed up!

Then the object appeared to 'open-up' - and it looked like a long sheet of some material - that was approximately 10 to 15 feet in length. I will send all of the photos of this bizarre thing - and you can decide for yourself. I then got into my car and went driving off in the direction that it was traveling; -north / northeast. I proceeded to drive through a maze of industrial streets - and saw nothing...

Mercury In Sagittarius In 4th House

You possess vision and foresight, and your mind is often occupied with big ideas, plans, and goals for the future. You are interested in what is possible and what is on the horizon, rather than what has already been done. The study of philosophy, religion, politics, or education is of interest to you, and you are more concerned with theories and concepts than with specific applications. You are not inclined to focus on any one practical, concrete area; you find it irksome to deal with details and particulars. You have a gambling instinct and enjoy speculative enterprises and new ventures. Business, advertising, and promotion would be good areas for you also.

The 4th House is associated with FAMILY, CULTURE & TRADITIONS handed down through generations. As such can refer to past lives. It can be the house of karma

Spacious and comfortable homes are important to these natives. They like to provide a place for everything and see to it that everything is in its Place. While visitors are generously treated, these natives are especially generous with their own families. Their families, indeed, usually get along better than most.

With Mercury in the 4th house, your mental and communicative abilities will largely be applied to your domestic and private life, and issues relating to home and family. Intellectual interests, further education and general studies are carried out within the home environment. It is probable that your work or career is also home based.

Hod - sphere of intellect and logic

The counterbalance of the anarchic Netzach on the Astral Plane in the Tree of Life is Hod, the eigth Sephirah. While Netzach is the Force, Hod is the Form, providing organization and structure to the uncontrolled power of its counterpart from which it emanates. As a couple, Netzach and Hod are often referred to as 'time' and 'place'.

Like Netzach was reflected from Geburah through Tiphareth, Hod is reflected from Chesed through Tiphareth, representing its coagulating principle.

Hod is also called the Sphere of Magic(k) since it is the sphere of the formulation of form, change imposed by will and intellect. Quite naturally it is also restriction and discrimination or - as Crowley's Eight of Swords so aptly put it - interference. You cannot form anything without restricting it in one way or the other, once you tame a wild thing its freedom is limited. This is the primary effect of any Sephirah on the Pillar of Severity hence its name.

Hod is ruled by Mercury and thus associated with Hermes aka Mercury aka Thoth, the god of wisdom and scripture. The Tarot as 'Book of Thoth' is referred to Hod as well as all language since both can be considered as carriers of messages and meanings. Hod is the conscious thinking, the intellectual logic and the rationality of mind. It is the explorer and scientist, the magician and researcher, but also the god of trickery and deceit. Just remember that Netzach is the Sphere of Illusion - what becomes of an illusion once it is rendered into servable portions?

Hod is quite often not much appreciated by people enthusiastically throwing themselfes into the 'mysteries of occultism' when its rather unmysterious rationalism seems so much less attractive than the iridescent fluidity of Netzach, yet without Hod one would be hopelessly lost in what is actually nothing but an unsorted mess of primeval instincts. Inspiration For The Day

Stop imagining your life to be a limited span of consciousness bounded by birth and death.Recognize it instead as a vibrant field of Awareness, illuminating the Infinite Present, within which birth and death both arise and disappear.

Latest Poll Result .... Will You Be Having The Swine Flu Vaccination?

Swine Flu Cases Jump 50% In One Week ... (Scaremongering Round 2?)

Doctors could start to vaccinate patients against swine flu by mid-October, as the number of cases shows a 50% rise. Sky News has seen details of the Department of Health's vaccination timetable which shows that hospitals and mental health units are expected to receive the first doses on October 14.

A box of 500 doses will be sent initially, which will be used to immunise staff and the patients most vulnerable to serious complications of flu. Deliveries to GP surgeries will start on October 19. They will also be sent just 500 doses at first. It could take up to two weeks for every GP practice to receive their initial allocation. GPs will be told ahead of time when to expect supplies so they can book in patients at risk.

The details were given in a letter to the NHS from the health department's director of immunisations, Professor David Salisbury. The Department of Health had been expecting 4.7m doses to be delivered by the end of September. But it has just 300,000 doses of the what 's known as the Baxter vaccine, which hasn't yet been approved by the European medicines regulator.

And GlaxoSmithKline, which gained approval for its vaccine this week, has yet to deliver any doses - though Sky understands that deliveries should start shortly.

England's chief medical officer,Professor Sir Liam Donaldson, said there had been 14,000 new cases of swine flu in the last seven days - a 50% rise over the previous week ... read more ...

A Word On 'Apollo'

The son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis. Apollo was the god of music (principally the lyre, and he directed the choir of the Muses) and also of prophecy, colonization, medicine, archery (but not for war or hunting), poetry, dance, intellectual inquiry and the carer of herds and flocks. He was also a god of light, known as "Phoebus" (radiant or beaming, and he was sometimes identified with Helios the sun god). He was also the god of plague and was worshiped as Smintheus (from sminthos, rat) and as Parnopius (from parnops, grasshopper) and was known as the destroyer of rats and locust, and according to Homer's Iliad, Apollo shot arrows of plague into the Greek camp. Apollo being the god of religious healing would give those guilty of murder and other immoral deeds a ritual purification. Sacred to Apollo are the swan (one legend says that Apollo flew on the back of a swan to the land of the Hyperboreans, he would spend the winter months among them), the wolf and the dolphin. His attributes are the bow and arrows, on his head a laurel crown, and the cithara (or lyre) and plectrum. But his most famous attribute is the tripod, the symbol of his prophetic powers.

When the goddesss Hera, the wife of Zeus (it was he who had coupled with Leto) found out about Leto's pregnancy, she was outraged with jealousy. Seeking revenge Hera forced Leto to roam the earth in search of a place to give birth. Sicne Hera had forbidden Leto to stay anywhere on earth, either on terra-ferma or an island at sea, the only place to seek shelter was Delos, being in the center of the Aegean, and also difficult to reach, as there were strong under-currents, because it was said to be a floating island. Because it was a floating island, it was not considered either of Hera's prohibitions, and so Leto was able to give birth to the divine twins Apollo and Artemis (before Leto gave birth to Apollo, the island was encircled by a flock of swans, this is why the swan was sacred to him). As a gesture of thanks Delos was secured to the sea-bed by four columns to give it stability, and from then on it became one of the most important sanctuaries to Apollo. (A variation of Apollo's birth was that the jealous Hera had incarcerated Ilithyia, the goddess of childbirth, but the other gods intervened forcing Hera to release Ilithyia, which allowed Leto to give birth ). Apollo's first achievement was to rid Pytho (Delphi) of the serpent (or dragon) Python.

This monstrous beast protected the sanctuary of Pytho from its lair beside the Castalian Spring. There it stood guard while the "Sibyl" gave out her prophecies as she inhaled the trance inducing vapors from an open chasm. Apollo killed Python with his bow and arrows (Homer wrote "he killed the fearsome dragon Python, piercing it with his darts"). Apollo not only took charge of the oracle but rid the neighboring countryside of widespread destruction, as Python had destroyed crops, sacked villages and polluted streams and springs. However, to make amends for killing Python, as the fearsome beast was the son of Gaia, Apollo had to serve king Admetus for nine years (in some versions eight) as a cowherd. This he did, and when he returned to Pytho he came in the guise of a dolphin bringing with him priests from Crete (Apollo's cult title "Delphinios" meaning dolphin or porpoise, is probably how Delphi was so named). After killing Python and taking possession of the oracle, the god of light (Phobus) became known as "Pythian Apollo". He dedicated a bronze tripod to the sanctuary and bestowed divine powers on one of the priestesses, and she became known as the "Pythia". It was she who inhaled the hallucinating vapors from the fissure in the temple floor, while she sat on a tripod chewing laurel leaves. After she mumbled her answer, a male priest would translate it for the supplicant. Delphi became the most important oracle center of Apollo, there were several including Clarus and Branchidae

Kookaburra Symbolism

The kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher family. One of its most distinct features is its famous laugh heard at dawn and dusk when it is marking out its territory. Because of its laughter one would think that these birds represented peace and happiness. Although its laugh is contagious don't be fooled by this daring and territorial bird.

Excellent divers, the kookaburra is extremely focused. They go after what they want when they want it. Those with this totem have the ability to achieve their goals if they stay centered and maintain their focus. If the kookaburra suddenly dives into your life its telling you to manifest your dreams instead of day dreaming about them. The kookaburra has many personalities to fit a variety of situations and is known as the master of illusion. Acquiring master ship is hard work. Because of this the kookaburra demands respect and it usually gets it! Individuals with this totem often achieve prominent roles in society that demand respect and recognition. They make excellent leaders and diplomats.

Kookaburras form community groups which together share and defend their home territory. These groups have a dominant mating pair and other lesser members. A secure home life is important to those with this medicine.

Laughing Kookaburras do not build nests, instead they use existing cavities in trees. Although they can be aggressive when defending their territory of hunting for food they hold an air of indifference when it comes to other activities. When the kookaburra laughs its way into your life ask yourself these questions. Is your fear limiting your accomplishments? Are you focused in your pursuits? Are you determined to change unhealthy habits? If your answer is yes call upon the kookaburra to help you.

Serving the Higher Self

In most spiritual circles, the ego gets a pretty bad rap. The reason for this is that the ego, to some extent, is the principle in our psyches that separates us from one another, while spirit is the principle that shows us that no such separation exists. Sometimes the ego is depicted as an almost demonic figure that keeps us from realizing our true nature. But at its most basic, the ego is simply a tool that helps us organize the various aspects of our personality so that we can function in the world.
In this sense, the ego is simply a way for us to understand and attend to ourselves at the same time as we understand and attend to the world around us. The ego is a tool that we use to navigate the world. Perhaps the problem is that the ego sometimes gets out of control. This happens when the higher self loses control of the psyche. The psyche then falls under the leadership of the ego, an entity that was never meant to lead. The ego is meant to be definitively in the service of the higher self. When this relationship is functioning, the ego is a useful intermediary representing the whole self but not thinking that it is the whole self. Then, it is almost as if the ego is the self playfully pretending to be the separate entity called "I." Like an actor, the ego plays the roles that the world asks us to play in order to be part of the program. In this way, the ego can be a tool enabling us to be in the world but not of it. As long as we are in touch with our higher selves, our egos are not a threat. They are simply useful tools in the service of spirit. We keep our egos in check when we continually nurture our awareness of who we really are. Then our egos are free to serve without trying ineffectually to rule. It is healthy to have ego, but like all things in life, ego functions best when it is in balance and harmony with your whole self.

Inspiration For Today - 'Star connections'

"The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul- light magic of the innermost life of our self. The energy of the stars becomes us. We become the energy of the stars. Stardust and spirit unite and we begin: One with the universe. Whole and holy." -- Dennis J. Kucinich

Ponder the spectre of yourself as one human being in the over six billion people on Earth. See Earth as one tiny planet in a galaxy of billions of stars, and that galaxy as just one of billions of galaxies in our expanding universe. We are so minute as to be nonexistent. And yet, we have the power to visualize, to imagine the entirety of the cosmos.

"I think we would be able to live in this world more peaceably if our spirituality were to come from looking not just into infinity but very closely at the world around us -- and appreciating its depth and divinity." -- Thomas Moore

Hundreds Feared Dead In Sumatra Earthquake

British aid is being sent to areas of Indonesia devastated by an earthquake which has left up to 200 people dead.

Stocks of emergency shelters, hygiene kits and clothing are ready to be distributed by aid teams funded by British charity Oxfam once workers can get through to the worst affected areas. The British Red Cross has launched a fundraising appeal to help those caught up in the earthquake and two other natural disasters which have swept the Asia Pacific region in the last two days.

In addition to the Indonesian earthquake a tsunami, triggered by another tremor, with a magnitude of between eight and 8.3, hit islands in the south Pacific Ocean. The magnitude 7.6 tremor struck off the coastal city of Padang, making homes, hotels, schools, shops and other buildings collapse. At one stage Health Ministry crisis centre head Rustam Pakaya said the death toll was feared to top more than 1,000

But Priyadi Kardono, spokesman for the national disaster agency, said it was now believed between 100 and 200 people had been killed. He added that 500 houses had collapsed and around 100 people were buried.

The tremor was felt around the region, with some high-rise buildings in the neighbouring city state of Singapore, 275 miles away, evacuating their staff.

A regional tsunami warning was issued, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre and Japan's meteorological agency said. It was unclear if there were any casualties.

"Hundreds of houses have been damaged along the road," a witness in Padang said.
"There are some fires, bridges are cut and there is extreme panic here, maybe because water pipes are broken and there is flooding in the streets."

Indonesia is situated in a belt of intense seismic activity known as the "Pacific Ring of Fire".The earlier tsunami smashed into the Pacific island nations of American Samoa and Samoa killing possibly more than 100 people. (Sky News)

Man Utd 2 - 1 Wolfsburg

Manchester United came from behind at Old Trafford to beat an impressive Wolfsburg side and take command of Group B in the Champions League.

The Germans played their part in a lively game and went ahead when Edin Dzeko headed in Makoto Hasebe's cross. But United hit back immediately, Ryan Giggs scoring his 150th goal for the club as his free-kick was deflected in. Wayne Rooney fired narrowly over before Michael Carrick kept his cool to curl in the winner from the edge of the box.

It was what United deserved for a powerful display against very capable opponents, with victory sending them three points clear at the top of their group. But they did not have it all their own way and had to match Wolfsburg's powerful physical threat before their superior quality could show.

In the build-up to the game, the Bundesliga champions had vowed to attack, coach Armin Veh promising they would not wait until they fell behind to impose their style on the game. And he was true to his word as the visitors almost got off to a flier, Nemanja Vidic's lazy header seized upon by Grafite and Christian Gentner firing at keeper Tomasz Kuszczak when he should have done better.

Zvjezdan Misimovic was pulling the strings for Wolfsburg, Grafite was proving more than a match for both Vidic and Rio Ferdinand and the Germans looked dangerous. (BBC Sport)
