Former officer Robert Salas claimed that about 10 nuclear weapons at a top-secret US Air Force base were “disabled by UFOs” in 1967. In those years, he was commander of a secret underground launcher at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana.
Speaking after a secret hearing by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, he told The Sun: “Nuclear missiles have been stopped by UFOs for eight days and it’s all documented and there are eyewitness accounts. Key witnesses, including myself, are still alive and can testify about this incident.”
“Without a doubt, I would have given evidence under oath at the inquest and brought documentation in the form of audio recordings, letters, etc. After the incident, we were told not to talk about them, in other words, there was a cover-up. The investigation teams never questioned us about causation or trying to find it, and it was kept secret.”
