Swansong?

It might come as a shock ... it certainly did to me when I came to this decision ... but I'm planning to hang my mystical boots up for a while. Thought it was only fair to warn you all that there might come the day very soon when the posts on A Light In The Darkness dry up. I've recently become extremely disenchanted with the state of The New Age movement ... there are numerous charlatans out there who are practising their wears too soon into their development ... they are giving the old hands a bad name. It takes time to nurture gifts ... a long time to be even ready to take on the responsibility of dealing with souls. Learning it from a book ... or attending a workshop ... does not give you the automatic right to be let loose with human souls. The damage that these charlatans are doing is scary. They claim to have all the mystical faculties awakened, so poor souls go to them in good faith ... only to find themselves in an even bigger mess. The charlatans know not what they do ... its not been pointed out to them ... but they pass the failings and weaknesses of their untethered ego's onto their clients. To be in an industry filled with these dangerous people ... is scary. I'm therefore reluctant to continue ...
