Police hunting for Madeleine McCann in resort where she disappeared 'will search sewers'

Daily Mail: Detectives hunting for Madeleine McCann will search sewer pipes around the holiday resort where she went missing in 2007, reports claim. Using cameras attached to fibre-optic cables, Scotland Yard officers are said to be looking for objects that may have been abandoned soon after the disappearance in Praia da Luz, Portugal. The development comes 24 hours after the team found a hole in the ground covered with wood, an iron sheet, and mounds of earth 1,000ft from the Ocean Club.

The overgrown land – one of three key locations officers want to dig up – is the size of three football pitches and has been chosen because it is in the direction being taken by a suspect spotted carrying a little girl on the night Madeleine went missing....read more>>>...

They claim the site is '300 m from the apartment' yet when you look at the aerial image above, its clearly a much greater distance than 300 m from apartment to search area. The search is supposedly due to a dodgy eye witness account of a person carrying a girl on the night. That's if it was ever reported. Very insubstantial reasoning for a MM search. No this is related to something else and the merry-go-round have been instructed to leap in with their pair of size 20 boots as usual.
