Raven is very personal to me, being a power animal which has always been a firm favourite of mine since I was a very young child. It is an honour to be in a land (Australia) where Ravens freely roam the skies and the landscape. The UK does not have that priveledge with the last ravens being held captive by the royal family!I personally associate the Raven with the Path Of The Wild Seer which is my personal celtic pathway. Through my travels in the underworld as the Raven I have encountered the archetypal Merlin and his Norse equivalent, Odin. I was first called 'A Light In The Darkness' as a teenager, and it was only in my mid 20's that I began to understand the significance of that name. My Blog stands testament to that title ... my role as a visionary, wild seer and clairvoyant provides the hint at what the responsibility is to be A Light In The Darkness. The Raven is always there to light my way, to guide me and to help my heal my spirit during my visits through the otherworlds - Matthew James
