Debris with Chinese and Malaysian writing washes up on Reunion island as police pour cold water on 'plane door' reports

Daily Mail: Debris with Chinese and Malaysian writing has washed up on the small Indian Ocean island which is now the focus of the international hunt for MH370. The items washed up on the beach south of Saint Denis in Reunion - close to where the wing flap of a Boeing 777 was discovered on the coast on Wednesday.

But reports of the discovery of a 'plane door' have been laughed off by authorities - as police confirm they have taken the metallic debris found on the beach for evidence. The wing flap was flown to France on Friday evening, and is due to undergo tests later this week to discover whether or not it belonged to the doomed Malaysian Airways flight.

Malaysian transport minister Liow Tiong Lai said today that French authorities, aircraft manufacturer Boeing, U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Malaysian team had all confirmed the part was from a Boeing 777. MH370 is the only missing 777 in the world...read more>>>...
