UK: June Set To Flood The Record Books

The recent flooding that has gripped much of the UK means last month is likely to be the wettest June on record, beating the 1980 level of 119.8mm of rainfall. As the water levels subside and communities begin the clear-up, people are asking whether there is more flooding to come and whether they will see any hot weather soon. Despite being in the middle of summer, experts say the next 10 days will be unsettled, and temperatures will be on the cool side.

One forecaster, Tony Conlan, said: "There is no spell of warm weather at all and we cannot predict any longer than about 10 days." But others believe there could be better weather on Thursday and Friday over central and southern areas. (Sky News)
