They warned they were monitoring their inquiries in Portugal and would take action if the agents did anything to interfere with the police investigation. A police source said: "We know when they come and what they do here. They can be in Portugal as long as they don't interfere with the investigation."
An unnamed officer added: "They seem like small fry. They are irrelevant."
