Formlessness

The 22nd Aethyr, LIN, is the Aethyr of the void. While here, if you look downward you will get a sense of time and space and form, a typical human sensation. If you look upward, however, you will get a sense of the infinity and formlessness, a very different feeling from what you are humanly accustomed to. LIN is situated on the threshold of form and formlessness. It is a place to understand and actually feel the difference between these two states of being. As in many of the other Aethyrs, LIN is an area of change and after your experiences here, you will never be the same.

If you travel this region you will undoubtedly come across the guide Pan. He often appears winged and multi-colored with an air of pride and is noticeably handsome. He will either play his pan-pipe or you may just hear music . There is a kind of rapture here that can catch and hold you spellbound. In a sense, it is the music of the pan-pipe, but in another it is the feeling of losing the sense of time as you leave form and enter the formless areas of this Aethyr.

Having been anchored in form through your physical existence, this Aethyr begins to loosen your grip on form. Travel to many of the upper Aethyrs requires that you relinquish your form and dissolve your being into the vast pool of consciousness. Here you get to test this aspect of yourself and to learn what it feels like to let go of matter and take a dip in the divine substance of which your spirit is made of. (wisdomsdoor)
