Every age and dawn of man
Spiritual beings
ruled by the vice grip of the lizard kind
who declare they are gods
Beware the demons
Beware those who appear as men
who are not men
Then in the latter stages of another golden age
the healers come
they who can see into the hearts of men
who will decree the end of the society of man
Brave souls gifted with the sight
which sees what others cannot
They will reveal the demons
and their trickery
and be mocked for their claims
But it shall be so
and mankind will realise
but learn the truth too late
for lo the earth changes come
once again
and another fall will come to man
and man will scurry to the only place they can
to beneath the waves
into the caves and the caverns
that have an ancient feel
and an eerie chill
led by those in human power who know
who realise what lurks within
And mankind will survive and flourish within the earth again
to return to the surface when the flood waters abate
and the land is dry once again
So the cycle will return to the start
and it will all begin anew
The demons to return again as gods
Mankind forgetting the legends
and ignoring the dread in their hearts
as their masters return
extending the sickly offer of help
for the demons need the red blood of man
to feed
to remain on this material plane
