Fergie admits to title struggle

READ IT AND WEEP ... Carlos' woe

ALEX FERGUSON has admitted Manchester United face an uphill task to retain the title.
After this derby day defeat at Eastlands, United have just two points from three games. Boss Fergie said: “10 years ago we could have handled that because we were always good in the second half of the season — now we are going to have to be. We’ve got ourselves an uphill fight now. This is United’s worst start since the 1992-93 season when they took only one point from their first three games. But they can take comfort from the fact they recovered to win the league that season. United had by far the weight of possession and the most shots yesterday, but they still went down to a Geovanni first-half strike. (The Sun)
