Invocation or Evocation?

An invocation is a spell or ritual designed to have an effect on you personally, while an evocation spell or ritual is designed to have an outward effect, such as an enchantment, creation of a servitor, or other manifestation beyond your own body.

An invocation is to draw the energy directly into you, an evocation is to invite the energy to share your sacred space.
