'The premise presented by several civil engineers in the documentary “Improbable Collapse: The Demolition of Our Republic” is that the World Trade Center towers and Building 7 could not have collapsed as they did simply from the impact of the airplanes or the heat of the fires. They had been constructed to withstand such events. The collapse only could have been caused by a controlled, planned implosion, they said, such as those frequently used to take down buildings.
