Sky News Headline; says: 'A candle burns in a lantern at the foot of Rothley's war memorial. There is no message attached but everyone here knows what it symbolises. It is a light for Madeleine McCann: a sign that, in her home village in Leicestershire, hope has not been extinguished. Madeleine's parents are preparing to return here. It will be a heartbreaking journey but relatives say they will get all the support they need from villagers. Brian Kennedy, Mrs McCann's uncle said: "People will help them settle back to their quiet family life and help them get back into a routine. They are lucky to live in a place like this where everyone is so supportive."
The family have not decided when to return back to Britain but the lease on their rented villa in Praia da Luz in Portugal runs out on September 11. He said: "They're coming back for the children. They're still being sniped at in the Portuguese press but that's not what's bringing them back. It's the children. They'll want to lead a normal a life as possible. They haven't said anything to me about going back to work but I think Gerry will."
