A Favourite Place: Crinkle Crags

Perhaps its one too many cans of 'Fairy Bomb' Absinth drink ... but my mind was suddenly back on the 'Bad Step' of Crinkle Crags in Cumbria. It's been over a decade since I last walked that fantastic ridge. It was a real favourite of mine and of my late Father too.

A typically memorable 'hike' would involve arriving at the foot of 'The Band' (situated behind the main tree in the above picture) in the early morning (7am ish) prior to about an hour's slog up the accursed band. At the summit of The Band, the Crinkle Crags is situated to the left ... a fantastic 'ridge' walk ....
