Islamo-communism: The similarities and differences between Islamism and Communism

In this World Net Daily article, Victor Davis Hanson examines the perplexing modern alliance between radical Islam and Western Marxism/socialism, arguing that despite deep ideological contradictions, the two movements have united in shared hostility toward Western civilisation, capitalism, Israel and democratic norms.

Hanson highlights fundamental incompatibilities: Islam is theocentric and demands exclusive loyalty to Allah, while Marxism treats religion as the “opiate of the masses” and seeks material justice in the here and now rather than in an afterlife.

Socialists and Marxists historically reject monarchy and hereditary power, yet much of the Islamic world remains organised around tribal and monarchical structures that Marxism would ordinarily oppose.

Islam prioritises tribal and ethnic affinity, whereas socialism and communism emphasise a global proletariat that transcends national or ethnic identity.

Despite these differences, both camps share a deep animosity toward Western civilisation’s core values, including free speech, religious pluralism and market capitalism.

Both exhibit intense hostility toward Jews and the state of Israel, a convergence that overrides earlier socialist affinities with early Zionist kibbutzim.

Both reject classical liberalism’s emphasis on individual liberty and opportunity, preferring instead coercive redistribution and enforced equality enforced by state power.

Hanson notes that both traditions have shown a willingness to justify violence as a necessary means to achieve their political ends....<<<Read More>>>...

Marxism and Shia Islam have a core feature in common

Marx’s theory of immiseration and Twelver Shia eschatology share a common structural feature: both teach that history moves forward only through a period of necessary, progressive worsening, after which a total redemptive inversion suddenly occurs. Everything else follows from that single shared manifesto.

“Redemptive inversion” is the common core. It means the existing order is not improved by degrees; it is completely reversed. Workers’ misery and Islam-defined injustice are inverted into their opposites; that is, Islam-defined perfect justice and workers’ liberation.

In Marxism, the accumulated suffering of the working class under capitalism is inverted into the classless society. In Twelver doctrine, the earth filled with Islam-defined oppression is inverted into the earth filled with Islam-defined justice by the Mahdi. In both systems, the night must first become extremely dark – violently dark – before the dawn can break.

Marx explains the mechanism of that prior darkening in economic terms. In ‘Capital’, he analyses the rising “organic composition of capital” – the growing ratio of constant capital (machines and technology) to variable capital (living labour). As this ratio increases, relatively fewer workers are required. An industrial reserve army of the unemployed expands. That reserve army then “disciplines the working class”: it holds down wages, weakens bargaining power and keeps workers insecure and fragmented.

The result is relative immiseration. Marx’s own formulation is precise: “Accumulation of wealth at one pole is, therefore, at the same time accumulation of misery, the torment of labour, slavery, ignorance, brutalisation and moral degradation at the opposite pole.”...<<<Read More>>>...

The RAF Cadet Suspended for Naming Islam as a UK Security Threat Should be Immediately Reinstated

How has it come about that an RAF cadet has been suspended from his officer training course for saying that Islam is the main security threat to the UK? The wokification of the RAF is the obvious answer. But what has allowed that to take place?

The current head of the RAF is Air Chief Marshall Harv Smyth. Last August he took over from Sir Rich Knighton, who has become Chief of the Defence Staff. Air Chief Marshall Smyth actually has a distinguished combat record. Joining the RAF in 1991, he spent 15 years as a frontline Harrier pilot and weapons instructor flying hundreds of operational missions over Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, Iraq and Afghanistan.

What is behind the trend in military leaders shortening their Christian names? Is it because they want to make themselves look ‘modernised’, in New Labour parlance? Are they imitating the public-school-educated former Labour Prime Minister Anthony Blair, who reportedly told his first cabinet meeting in 1997 “call me Tony”? If so, it would go a long way to explain why they are easy prey for Left-wing bureaucrats in the Ministry of Defence wanting to impose wokery on the Armed Forces.

Air Chief Marshall Smyth ought to order the immediate reinstatement of the cadet who made the comment, which reportedly occurred during a question-and-answer session in a training exercise at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire just before Easter. But such an intervention is unlikely because Harv Smyth got himself promoted under the Blairite Conservatives when ‘heir-to-Blair’ David Cameron was Prime Minister, becoming an Air Commodore in 2015....<<<Read More>>>...

Muslim Cheerleaders Are Making the Same Mistake as the Trans Lobbyists

The tipping point, jumping the shark, enough is enough – however you want to express it, the communal prayer in Trafalgar Square was one raised bottom too many for a lot of people, Nick Timothy MP included. It is worth pausing for a moment to consider why it was this particular event that aggravated the ordinary chap in the street.

I think it’s less the specifically Islamic aspect of the event, rather the in-your-face-nature of it all. It seems that those seeking to make Islam ‘mainstream’ and ‘nothing to be frightened of’ and ‘just another way of being’ are making the same mistake as the extreme end of the trans lobby: forcing it down our throats.

Britain is a tolerant country but what we dislike more than anything is ‘showing off’. The kids have an aversion to ‘try hards’ or ‘pick mes’ those types who always want to be first, at the front of the queue or given a special pat on the head. There is something instinctively British about this modest attitude and it’s one that special interest groups would be wise to remember....<<<Read More>>>....

Islamologica

Islamophobia is an irresponsible word – a political word. Let’s have, instead, some Islamologica.

I have written about Islam twice before, here and here, and I think the points I made there bear repetition and summary.

First, I argued that Islam is: 1. One 2. Unconvertible 3. Power. Hegel: “The worship of the One is the only final aim of Monometalism.”
Belloc: “It is, as a fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilisation has had, and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past… [Because] Islam is apparently unconvertible.”
Girard: “For Islam, God is essentially power.”

And second, I argued that though Islam is obsessed with Oneness, tawhid, as they call it, this oneness is at least not Chinese. The oneness of Islam does not simply sanction any earthly order, like ‘All-Under-Heaven’, i.e. China – and this is because Islam, like the religion of the Israelites and Christianity, is about the kingship of God.

The second point is an essential correction to the first. Yes, Islam seeks hegemony – but it is not simply an earthly hegemony. It is a hegemony that is sanctioned by, and ultimately ruled by, God. This means it is very strong, no doubt: men have fire in their eyes as they seek hegemony and they feel justified. But it also means that this fire can be turned against the state. And NB, what we in the West think of as Islamic states are, in fact, nervous entities, since Islam is an uncertain sword in the ruler’s hand – it can be used against him.

The next thing to bring into play is a point I made when discussing the West. Our particular problem is not Islam as such. Our particular problem is with Islam in the context of Western states, where Western states are 1. liberal and 2. Christian or post-Christian. And this is not a simple problem because we, in the West, continually argue about whether liberalism is just secular in some absolute sense, or only secular in the Christian sense that we live in the saeculum of the earthly expectation that Jesus will come again and that, until he does, we have to do the best we can with Hobbes’s Leviathan or Schmitt’s katechon. Deep waters.

Let me repeat that point because I do not want it to be lost. It matters that we are unsure about how Christian our liberal order is, and that we are also unsure about what liberalism entails. Let me deal with them one by one – first Christianity, then liberalism....<<<Read More>>>...

Another UN “anti-Islamophobia day” passes without recognition of the hatred for non-Muslims displayed in the Koran

Yesterday was the UN’s “International Day to Combat Islamophobia.” To celebrate, Hellish 2050 is giving free copies of the book ‘Can the Koran be Banned in Scotland and India?’.

Hellish 2050 also points out that Islamophiles fail to recognise the hatred for non-Muslims as is written in the Koran.

In a recent article, we highlighted the UK government’s plan to tackle “anti-Muslim hostility.” The policy paper for Labour’s “Protecting What Matters” plan states: “Working with the United Nations, the Council of Europe and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), we will use our diplomatic network to press for laws and policies that protect religious or belief minorities and promote inclusive, tolerant societies.”

Whenever we see the “collaboration” of the United Nations, we know the UK government are being obedient servants to the controligarchs’ global plans and not the four nations whom it is their duty to serve. We shouldn’t be surprised, then, to discover the push for the “Islamophobia” agenda is coming from the UN.

In 2022, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution to observe the “International Day to Combat Islamophobia” every year on 15 March. The date, 15 March, was chosen as it is the anniversary of the 2019 Christchurch mosque attacks in New Zealand.

For the UN and its supporters, the day serves as a global call to action to combat Islamophobia, defined as racism, discrimination, hostility or violence against Muslims or Islam.

In 2025, UN Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Miguel Ángel Moratinos Cuyaubé of Spain, the UN’s High Representative for the Alliance of Civilisations, as the UN Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia. “Let’s eradicate the scourge of Islamophobia from every country and community,” Guterres said.

To celebrate the UN’s anti-Islamophobia day 2026, Hellish 2050 is providing a free PDF copy of the book ‘Can the Koran be Banned in Scotland and India?’.

What supporters of the anti-Islamophobia agenda fail to point out, Hellish 2050 says, is the discrimination and hatred for non-Muslims displayed in the Koran and other Islamic scriptures and provides some examples....<<<Read More>>>...

Labour is not the only government to sell Britons out to Islam; Islamophilia will change Britain forever

There are ample examples of the Labour government seeking to give Muslims preferential rights and privileges over Christian Britons. But this love-in with Islam did not start with the left-wing government. And the consequences of Islamophilic politicians will change Britain and the British way of life forever.

In an article titled ‘How the Left’s love-in with Islam will change Britain’, The Telegraph describes the relationship between the British political left (“Left”) and Islamist groups as a growing political alliance that it argues is reshaping Britain’s social, political and cultural landscape.

“With local elections approaching, Sir Keir Starmer and his colleagues are desperate to win back the approval of Muslim voters they had long taken for granted. The results of this risk going beyond pure politics – shaping Britain and British society for years to come,” the article states.

At 6.5 per cent (REALLY - its closer to 60%) of the population of England and Wales, many of whom are too young to vote, Muslims are a minority. But the Muslim population is growing due to unprecedented immigration in recent years, and Muslim women are having more children than native Britons. So, the British Left’s love-in with Islam is here to stay, The Telegraph warns. And, “As Britain becomes a more Muslim country, British politics becomes more concerned with Muslim issues.”

Politicians being concerned with Muslim issues to solicit votes affects the lives of every British citizen, young and old alike. Take, as an example, the appointment of Sir Hamid Patel as interim chairman of the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (“Ofsted”) in March 2025, a role concerned with governance and oversight of school inspections. Ofsted also inspects childcare, adoption and fostering agencies, and initial teacher training. On 1 September 2025, Dame Christine Gilbert replaced Patel as Chair of Ofsted....<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer’s Stunning Admission That Multiculturalism Has Failed is Still Based on a Lie

Keir Starmer was at it again this week repeating the dead lie that Britain has always been a tolerant and diverse country. Speaking about the Government’s new ‘Social Cohesion’ Strategy on March 9th, Starmer seemed to be speaking about himself and his Government’s recognition that communities are fighting like cats (hence the need for the social cohesion strategy) when he said:

One of my biggest concerns at the moment is that there are people in politics who want to set up grievances between different groups of people, to point fingers and divide and say that we can’t be one country, we can’t be one community. I totally disagree with that. I think one of the great things about this country is we’re a diverse country, where we prove that different people can live alongside each other in a tolerant way, with our values. Actually, that’s more than just an observation on who we are as a country. It’s what we are as a country. That is us.

Keir Starmer has said himself that he doesn’t read books, and I’m sure he’s far too busy to listen to The Rest is History, so perhaps we should forgive him for not understanding that Britain has never been a land of kumbaya with people living “in one community”. Instead, Britain has been forged by savage invasions by tribes and empires, (Roman, Angles, Jutes, Saxons and Normans), four civils wars (the Anarchy, the Barons’ War, the Wars of the Roses, the Civil War) the conversion and expulsion of different religious groups (Danes in AD 878 and Jews in 1290), uneasy and bloody unions and disunions with Wales, Ireland and Scotland. We are not, nor ever have been one community....<<<Read More>>>...

Labour’s Islamophobia Definition “Will Curb Free Speech”

A new official definition of Islamophobia could “inhibit” free speech about Muslims and their religion, the Government’s own counter-terrorism tsar Jonathan Hall KC has warned. The Telegraph has more.

Jonathan Hall, KC said Sir Keir Starmer’s proposed definition, to be unveiled on Monday, could stop people from freely criticising Islam or issues affecting its followers.

Hall, the Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation, told the BBC: “The worry will be with loose language, people will feel inhibited about talking about things that they do think which are genuinely important today.”

He also warned that it could fail to stop anti-Muslim attacks. He said a similar definition for antisemitism had failed to prevent a rise in attacks on Jews and that he was sceptical a similar new definition for anti-Muslim hatred would be any different.

Ministers have already watered down the definition by avoiding the use of the term ‘Islamophobia’, after concerns that it could limit free speech and lead to the creation of a blasphemy law by the backdoor.

The non-statutory definition is aimed at providing guidance for behaviour codes that public bodies, councils and businesses could adopt to combat prejudice, discrimination and hostility towards Muslims.

An advisory working group – which Dominic Grieve, the former attorney general, headed – produced the initial draft and submitted it to the Government in October.

It is understood that ministers have struck out references to the “racialisation” of Muslims amid concern it is a vague term that could be weaponised to silence critics of the religion.

However, it still states that anti-Muslim hatred will include “the prejudicial stereotyping of Muslims, as part of a collective group with set characteristics, to stir up hatred against them, irrespective of their actual opinions, beliefs or actions as individuals”.

Hall questioned the entire premise of a definition. “The IHRA [International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance] definition, which is the antisemitism definition – which has been adopted since 2016 – has not, in practice, reduced antisemitism or indeed terrorist attacks,” he said.

“And you could say, what is the upside of an anti-Muslim hate definition? It hasn’t worked for Jews. I do wonder whether it will work for Muslims. There is no doubt about it, Muslims are targets of terrorist attacks and attack planning.”

Hall said it was important that the definition should include examples of free speech that were not anti-Muslim hatred as people would otherwise be worried about discussing “uncomfortable” topics around Muslim culture, migration and Islamism.

He said his second concern was that it could lead to the same problems as had been experienced over non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs) where offensive language online had resulted in police investigations such as the arrest of Graham Linehan, the comedy writer, over trans comments.

“Will the definition look at the intention of the person who’s speaking, or will someone be able to say, I perceive what you’re saying as hatred,” he said.

“We’ve already gone through this rather foolish cycle about non-crime hate incidents, the arrest of Graham Linehan, and where people don’t intend to be hostile to me, but I perceive what you’re saying as hostile.

“So will the definition look at the intention of the speaker, or will these allegations of hatred be allowed to be made whether the person actually was hating or not?”...<<<Read More>>>...
