The Sacred Kingfisher is in the same family as the Kookaburra and is just as striking a Australian Native bird. It is considerably smaller, and much harder to get a photograph of. I'd been very fortunate on a number of occasions. This was taken at Stranger Pond, and is the raw image prior to any enchancement by Photoshop; or by any image scaling.
