For several years I had no luck at all in capturing any decent photographs of Red Wattlebird. And then suddenly, my luck changed. Red Wattlebird permitted me to get photographs. Many, many photographs. The Red Wattlebird is a large, noisy honeyeater, resident to Southern Australia. The common name refers to the fleshy reddish wattle on the side of the neck.
This photograph was taken at Stranger Pond in South Canberra.
