Scientists Suggest That All Food Should Be Irradiated, Pasteurized and Sterilized by 2030

University of Notre Dame network physicists in collaboration with food scientists have recently published an analysis of the international food-trade network that claims to show a vulnerability to the fast spread of contaminants as well as the correlation between known food poisoning outbreaks and the centrality of countries on the network. The study is causing a new batch of fear mongers to reiterate what many others have already stated--specifically that all food should sterilized by 2030. The primary claim by the food industry: As the world's population climbs past 7 billion, the sustainable production and distribution of food is balanced against the need to ensure its chemical and microbiological safety. The new paper maps the international agro-food trade network (IFTN) -- a highly complex and heterogeneous system formed around a core group of seven countries, each trading with more than 77 percent of the world's nations. Since any two countries in the IFTN have only two degrees of separation on the network, the fear is that the IFTN is capable of spreading a foodborne contaminant efficiently. They also claim it tends to mask the contaminant's origins once the system is compromised, since so many network paths run through the central nodes...read more>>>...

Link Between Touch And Emotion Discovered

Sight. Sound. Touch. These are just a few of the senses that the body has. This theme of senses was the subject of a recent study by neuroscientists from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) who reported a relationship between touch and emotion via the brain's primary somatosensory cortex. The findings, described in a recent issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), were discovered by researchers Valeria Gazzola and Christian Keysers, who were visiting Caltech from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. "Intuitively, we all believe that when we are touched by someone, we first objectively perceive the physical properties of the touch - its speed, its gentleness, the roughness of the skin," noted researcher Gazzola in the statement. "Only thereafter, in a separable second step based on who touched us, do we believe we value this touch more or less."...read more>>>...

Missile, UFO or cometary fragment? Thousands of people in Jordan and Israel witness spinning 'Catherine Wheel' in the sky

Thousands of people in Israel, Turkey and Jordan got the shock of their lives yesterday, as they watched a spinning 'UFO' performing cartwheels in the sky. Police in these countries - as well as in Cyprus and Lebanon - were flooded with phonecalls by panicked residents, as the white, gleaming light danced high up in the atmosphere. Theories abounded over what this could be - a failing missile test, a satellite breaking up in our atmosphere, or a visit from an alien spacecraft...read more>>>...

False flag alien invasion possible at Olympics Games, warns U-turning former MoD UFO 'expert'

One of the UK's top UFO experts has given his views on the likelihood of aliens suddenly appearing in our skies - and how the international community would respond. Nick Pope, who has more than two decades under his belt at the Ministry of Defence, said mass summer events - like the Olympic Games in London - would be a prime time for crafts from otherworlds to present themselves to mankind. He warned: 'With the summer of mass events we are all on high alert for terrorism. But we must also cast our eyes further afield and be prepared for even the most seemingly unfathomable." Pope's duties at the MoD included investigating reports of UFOs between 1991 and 1994, and says he began his research as a sceptic, before becoming convinced that the sightings raised important defence for national security and air safety issues...read more>>>...

The Eye of Horus

The Wadjet (or Ujat, meaning "Whole One") is a powerful symbol of protection in ancient Egypt also known as the "Eye of Horus" and the "all seeing eye". The symbol was frequently used in jewellery made of gold, silver, lapis, wood, porcelain, and carnelian, to ensure the safety and health of the bearer and provide wisdom and prosperity. However, it was also known as the "Eye of Ra", a powerful destructive force linked with the fierce heat of the sun which was described as the "Daughter of Ra". The "eye" was personified as the goddess Wadjet and associated with a number of other gods and goddesses (notably Hathor, Bast, Sekhmet, Tefnut, Nekhbet and Mut)...read more>>>...

UFO caught on camera over Epping Forest

An 11-year-old boy has sparked debate between sky-gazers after snapping a UFO hovering over Epping Forest. On Sunday, May 27, Jack Brody was playing in the garden of his family home in Manor Road, Loughton, when he noticed a tiny silver object glittering in the clear blue sky far above. Jack ran inside, grabbed a camera and took a photograph of the object. Jack's father Simon, 39, said: "I got back from a walk and Jack ran up to me and said 'you will not believe what I got a picture of. He pointed at this thing that was so small that you could barely see it. It was up there glimmering in the sun. When we zoomed in and looked at the picture closer I said to my friend, who was visiting, 'you have to come and see this. We just could not work out what it was. It is a kind of silver circular thing. It is very odd.'" ...read more>>>...

Giant cosmic explosion of 774AD has left absolutely no trace - except deep within the bark of two cedar trees

It is a mystery which is truly beyond even Sherlockian scale - a cosmic explosion which left no trace behind except deep within the bark of two cedar trees. Fusa Miyake, of the Nagoya University in Japan, studied the growth rings of two trees dating back 1,200 years - and discovered that an explosion of epic proportions occurred between 774 and 775AD. But there is no record of something happening in our skies in that period - except perhaps for one tiny, obscure account by a 13th-century historian. The problem - and this is where we need to call in Mr Holmes of Baker Street - is that there should be a record. If this was a supernova - a star exploding deep in space - we should either be able to spot the remains with modern telescopes, or find visual accounts in the written accounts of Chinese and European historians...read more>>>...

Buddhist Inspiration - "Mindfulness"

Mindfulness is not just a word or a discourse by the Buddha, but a meaningful state of mind. It means we have to be here now, in this very moment, and we have to know what is happening internally and externally. It means being alert to our motives and learning to change unwholesome thoughts and emotions into wholesome ones. Mindfulness is a mental activity that in due course eliminates all suffering- Ayya Khema, 'Be an Island'

The Heart of Humanity

The last thing most of us want to hear or think about when we are dealing with profound feelings of sadness is that deep learning can be found in this place. In the midst of our pain, we often feel picked on by life, or overwhelmed by the enormity of some loss, or simply too exhausted to try and examine the situation. We may feel far too disappointed and angry to look for anything resembling a bright side to our suffering. Still, somewhere in our hearts, we know that we will eventually emerge from the depths into the light of greater awareness. Remembering this truth, no matter how elusive it seems, can help.

The other thing we often would rather not hear when we are dealing with intense sadness is that the only way out of it is through it. Sitting with our sadness takes the courage to believe that we can bear the pain and the faith that we will come out the other side. With courage, we can allow ourselves to cycle through the grieving process with full inner permission to experience it. This is a powerful teaching that sadness has to offer us—the ability to surrender and the acceptance of change go hand in hand.

Another teaching of sadness is compassion for others who are in pain, because it is only in feeling our own pain that we can really understand and allow for someone else’s. Sadness is something we all go through, and we all learn from it and are deepened by its presence in our lives. While our own individual experiences of sadness carry with them unique lessons, the implications of what we learn are universal. The wisdom we gain from going through the process of feeling loss, heartbreak, or deep disappointment gives us access to the heart of humanity. (Daily Om)

Sequencing the Unborn

What if you could read much of your child's medical future while it was still in the womb? Taking a major step toward that goal, one fraught with therapeutic potential and ethical questions, scientists have now accurately predicted almost the whole genome of an unborn child by sequencing DNA from the mother's blood and DNA from the father's saliva. At the moment, prenatal diagnosis for a small number of genetic conditions is usually done from fetal cells that doctors capture from fluid in the womb (amniocentesis) or a snippet of placental tissue (chorionic villus sampling). But these methods, which require the insertion of a needle or tube into the womb or placenta, can cause miscarriages in about 1% of all cases...read more>>>...

Last month's solar flare created a mysterious pulse on Earth that seemed to 'answer' sun's blast

After an unusually long quiet period, the sun unleashed a solar flare on May 17 this year - but scientists are now puzzling over what happened on Earth. Neutron monitors all round the world lit up in response to the blast for the first time in six years, despite the fact it was an M-Class, or moderate, flare. The 'answering' pulse shouldn't have happened at all. Now scientists are trying to unravel what happened - and why our planet 'pulsed' in response.James Ryan, an astrophysicist at the UNH Space Science Center said, ‘This solar flare was most unimpressive and the associated CME was only slightly more energetic. And looking at it optically, it was remarkably dim, it was, all things considered, a ninety-eight pound weakling of solar events.'...read more>>>...

Another interesting martian landscape ...

Dematerialization

Physical dematerialization is a Morph phenomenon that has been witnessed by thousands of people over the past ten years at our events and workshops. The Morph is a phenomenon, whereby everything takes on a hazy wave state, speckled ambience, and/or soapy appearance. The Morph is essentially the etheric energy field of the earth and serves as a lens for peering into other dimensional levels. You don’t really need any training to see it. All you need to do is empty your mind and look at everything with a soft eye. If you’ve ever noticed “the Velvet of the Darkness”, where the blackness of the night looks like speckles of purples and blues, then you’ve seen the Morph before. It is entirely natural.

Seeing energy is easiest in darkness or dim light, because subtracting the distraction of reflective light allows a person to perceive the projective light of the etheric force, rather than perceiving the reflective light bouncing off of things from another source. It simply helps disengage the mind from locking onto the solidity of things, to where you can learn to perceive the non-solid nature of reality—energy.

Dematerialization occurs from a combination of both the Morph setting in, as well as the person letting go of the rigidity of their mind. You have to bring your mind into a silence and stillness, and then expand your subtle feelings. All you have to do is feel everything, rather than think about anything. The moment you start to think or engage the world with your mind—is the moment that you pop back into the solid...read more>>>...

A Word on the 'Dantian'

The Dantian is the energy centre of the body has some properties that make it important for handling energy and feelings. This centre is recognized in various traditions. In Chinese Qigong it is known as the Dantian, the Japanese name is Hara, and in the Sufi tradition and the Diamond Approach it is known as the Kath. The location of the Dantian is in the lower belly, 11½ thumb widths below the navel, 2 to 3 thumb widths inward. When you focus with your attention on the Dantian, you can simultaneously sense your entire body, from top to toe. It is this property that makes this the center of the body. Because of this, it is also easy to direct energy to a particular part of your body, when you have your attention at the Dantian. This is one of the reasons why in martial arts (like Taichi) the practitioner keeps his attention there. It also makes it possible to feel all kinds of feelings that are related to your body....read more>>>...

Tarot Card of the Day

The Aeon is another of those cards which indicate that we have reached a turning point - from this moment forward everything changes. There will often be big decisions to be made (which will later be executed with the Universe, the Arcanum which naturally follows this one). Sometimes we'll find ourselves weary after struggling through a tough patch, but at the same time, now we see light at the end of the tunnel. When we make life-changing decisions, we will often spend quite a long time thinking before we make up our minds. And during that period, we often berate ourselves for our indecisiveness and uncertainty. When we do that, we are missing something so simple, and yet vitally important - that every decision we take has its moment. And if we are not sure now, perhaps that's because we have not yet reached this particular decision's moment in time. There will come a moment, if we are true to ourselves, when we know exactly what we need to do. And when that moment comes there will be no further prevarication, no doubt, no fear. This is because time itself has enormous power. To find the right time for anything is a really useful life skill. When a choice comes to its own moment, it becomes empowered by its own momentum, and at that moment we can move forward with confidence. Sometimes, then, just of itself, this card will bring about changes on the day that it rules...read more>>>...

Take your Money out of the Banks NOW!!

David Icke - Decoding Alternative Realities!

Inspiration for the Day

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty

Life Packaging

We have all had the experience of encountering someone whose life seems so completely different from ours that we can almost imagine we have nothing in common. However, if we go deeper into observing, we will see that we all have the same things going on in our lives. It is as if our different lives are in essence the same gift, wrapped in an infinite variety of containers, wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows. Everybody experiences loss, grief, happiness, excitement, anger, and fear. Everyone can have money issues of one kind or another, and everyone struggles with difficult choices.
Our lives show up differently for each one of us because we each learn in different ways. One person may need to learn the value of money by having too little of it, while another may need to learn by having more than enough. We each learn about work and love, with experiences that are tailored to our particular perspective. Even as it appears that some people have it easy while others are in a continual state of struggle, the truth is that we are all learning, and it is very difficult to tell, when looking only at the exterior of a person, what’s going on inside.
This is one of the many things that can be so valuable about cultivating relationships with people from all walks of life. As we get to know those who seem so different from us, we get to really see how much of life’s challenges and joys are universal. We begin to look beyond the packaging of skin color, clothing preferences, and socioeconomic differences, hairstyles, and the cars we drive to the heart of the human experience. It is important to honor and value the differences in our packaging, but it is just as important to honor the gift of life inside each one of us, and the fact that, no matter how different the packaging, the gift inside is the same. Releasing Guilt

Learning to accept the things that we perceive as wrong can be a difficult task for many of us. Often we have been brought up to accept that it is normal to feel guilty about our actions and that by doing so we will make everything seem alright within ourselves. Even though we might feel that we have a reason to make up for the choices we have made, it is much more important for us to learn how to deal with them in a healthy and positive way, such as through forgiveness and understanding.

When we can look back at our past and really assess what has happened, we begin to realize that there are many dimensions to our actions. While feeling guilty might assuage our feelings at first, it is really only a short-term solution. It is all too ironic that being hard on ourselves is the easy way out. If we truly are able to gaze upon our lives through the lens of compassion, however, we will be able to see that there is much more to what we do and have done than we realize. Perhaps we were simply trying to protect ourselves or others and did the best we could at the time, or maybe we thought we had no other recourse and chose a solution in the heat of the moment. Once we can understand that dwelling in our negative feelings will only make us feel worse, we will come to recognize that it is really only through forgiving ourselves that we can transform our feelings and truly heal any resentment we have about our past.

Giving ourselves permission to feel at peace with our past actions is one of the most positive steps we can take toward living a life free from regrets, disappointments, and guilt. The more we are able to remind ourselves that the true path to a peaceful mind and heart is through acceptance of every part of our lives and actions, the more harmony and inner joy we will experience in all aspects of our lives.

The Mysterious Stone Spheres of Costa Rica

Thousands of years before the arrival of Columbus, civilization existed in Costa Rica. Evidence of human occupation, dates 10,000 years back. Parque Nacional Guayabo, has  ruins of an ancient city, with aqueducts and some marvellous gold and jade work, of about 1000 years ago, have been found in the southwest.

Evidence of the Olmec and Nahuatl Mexican civilizations influence, are found in archeological sites in the central highlands and Guanacaste. The Path of the Hermit

The Path of the Hermit is Path 20 .... The Path of Yod (the fist). The twentieth path is the intelligence of will and is so called because it is the means of preparation of all and each created being, and by this the intelligence the existence of the primordial wisdom becomes known. It has the mythological principle of 'the wilderness journey'. Its Esoteric title is 'the Magus of the Voice of Light, prophet of the gods.'

The Hermit is ancient - his knowledge precedes everything. His lamp holds a six-pointed star, showing interlocked triangles, and the number 6, hinting at the sixth sign, Virgo. The virginal aspect of The Hermit alludes to the "Divine Marriage," the union of male/female, the realm of the androgyne. The Hermit's "9" is a trinity of trinities, the last of the single digits, which shows a kind of completion. The Hermit is alone, in the icy, rarefied peaks, holding a beacon for those who follow. He is robed in grey, referring to the concealed knowledge, and the supernal Keter/Chochma/Binah triad His staff refers to the archetypal world, the will, and is a wand. The Magus, who holds a rod, is Mercury, which is exalted in Virgo. This is the world of interior thought and reflection; the wellspring of ideas and personal transformation...read more>>>...

Why Some People Blame Themselves for Everything

People prone to depression may struggle to organize information about guilt and blame in the brain, new neuroimaging research suggests. Crushing guilt is a common symptom of depression, an observation that dates back to Sigmund Freud. Now, a new study finds a communication breakdown between two guilt-associated brain regions in people who have had depression. This so-called "decoupling" of the regions may be why depressed people take small faux pas as evidence that they are complete failures.

"If brain areas don't communicate well, that would explain why you have the tendency to blame yourself for everything and not be able to tie that into specifics,"...read more>>>...

What Did The Chicken On Your Plate Eat?

Would you eat chicken that ate arsenic and banned antibiotics? You probably already have. When eating that delicious nugget, or scrumptious chicken salad.... do you ever wonder how the tender, juicy, and appealing shades of pink get to your dinner plate? Welcome factory farming. The human consumption of poultry products is more than any other animal. Each year, factory farms raise about 9 billion broiler chickens. The 'rendering industry' is a recycling business that converts animal byproducts into marketable materials, including feed. Following the poultry slaughter, feathers are routinely rendered into a feather meal and sold as animal feed. This provides a potential pathway for reentry of their feed into the human food chain. A very strange and disturbing brew is fed to chickens, combining rendered chicken parts, and pharmaceuticals. Keeve Nachman, a researcher at Johns Hopkins University led a team to see if antibiotics were given to chickens. A chemical panel (test) also looked for other chemicals found, and what they accidently discovered, was appalling, shocking many...read more>>>...

Another 2012 Crop Circle ...

Asking and Receiving

Prayer and meditation are similar practices in that they both offer us a connection to the divine, but they also differ from one another in significant ways. Put simply, prayer is when we ask the universe for something, and meditation is when we listen. When we pray, we use language to express our innermost thoughts and feelings to a higher power. Sometimes, we plumb the depths within ourselves and allow whatever comes to the surface to flow out in our prayer. At other times, we pray words that were written by someone else but that express what we want to say. Prayer is reaching out to the universe with questions, pleas for help, gratitude, and praise.

Meditation, on the other hand, has a silent quality that honors the art of receptivity. When we meditate, we cease movement and allow the activity of our minds and hearts to go on without us in a sense. Eventually, we fall into a deep silence, a place that underlies all the noise and fray of daily human existence. In this place, it becomes possible for us to hear the universe as it speaks for itself, responds to our questions, or sits with us in its silent way.

Both prayer and meditation are indispensable tools for navigating our relationship with the universe and with ourselves. They are also natural complements to one another, and one makes way for the other just as the crest of a wave gives way to its hollow. If we tend to do only one or the other, prayer or meditation, we may find that we are out of balance, and we might benefit from exploring the missing form of communication. There are times when we need to reach out and express ourselves, fully exorcising our insides, and times when we are empty, ready to rest in quiet receiving. When we allow ourselves to do both, we begin to have a true conversation with the universe.

FUKUSHIMA: Pacific Ocean Will Not Dilute Dumped Radioactive Water

The operator of the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant has been dumping something like a thousand tons per day of radioactive water into the Pacific ocean. Remember, the reactors are “riddled with meltdown holes”, building 4 – with more radiation than all nuclear bombs ever dropped or tested – is missing entire walls, and building 3 is a pile of rubble. The whole complex is leaking like a sieve, and the rivers of water pumped into the reactors every day are just pouring into the ocean (with only a slight delay). Most people assume that the ocean will dilute the radiation from Fukushima enough that any radiation reaching the West Coast of the U.S. will be low...read more>>>...

Analyzing the Path

Those of us on the path of personal and spiritual growth have a tendency to analyze our unhappiness in order to find the causes and make improvements. But it is just as important, if not more so, to analyze our happiness. Since we have the ability to rise above and observe our emotions, we can recognize when we are feeling joyful and content. Then we can harness the power of the moment by savoring our feelings and taking time to be grateful for them.

Recognition is the first step in creating change, therefore recognizing what it feels like to be happy is the first step toward sustaining happiness in our lives. We can examine how joy feels in our bodies and what thoughts run through our minds in times of bliss. Without diminishing its power, we can retrace our steps to discover what may have put us in this frame of mind, and then we can take note of the choices we’ve made while there. We might realize that we are generally more giving and forgiving when there’s a smile on our face, or that we are more likely to laugh off small annoyances and the actions of others when they don’t resonate with our light mood.

Once we know what it feels like and can identify some of the triggers and are aware of our actions, we can recreate that happiness when we are feeling low. Knowing that like attracts like, we can pull ourselves out of a blue mood by focusing on joy. We might find that forcing ourselves to be giving and forgiving, even when it doesn’t seem to come naturally, helps us to reconnect with the joy that usually precedes it. If we can identify a song, a picture, or a pet as a happiness trigger, we can use them as tools to recapture joy if we are having trouble finding it. By focusing our energy on analyzing happiness and all that it encompasses, we feed, nurture, and attract more of it into our lives, eventually making a habit of happiness.

Quote for the Day

The power is in you. The answer is in you. And you are the answer to all your searches: you are the goal. You are the answer. It's never outside-- Eckhart Tolle
