More Time To Quiz Terror Suspects
Detectives have been given another week to question five terror suspects being held at high security Paddington Green police station in west London. Earlier an Iraqi doctor appeared in court in connection with the suspected bomb plots in London and Glasgow.Bilal Abdullah, 27, was remanded in custody after a brief bearing at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in central London. Abdullah spoke only to give his name and to confirm his date of birth. He is accused of "unlawfully and maliciously conspired with others to cause explosions of a nature likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property in the United Kingdom."Karen Jones, prosecuting, said the charge relates to a suspected bomb attack in Glasgow on June 30 and the discovery of two car bombs in London on June 29.Abdullah is due to appear at the Old Bailey on July 27.
