A national newspaper has put up a £20,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews.(The Sun Saturday 1st March 2008)
The Sun also printed posters urging readers to help in the search. The nine-year-old's family made a new appeal to accompany the reward announcement.
Shannon's mother and stepfather said: "Our message to people is never give up because we won't until we find her."
Her best friend, Megan Aldridge, has also made a TV appeal for Shannon's safe return.
